My boy, I Love You

My boy, I Love You
Chapter 5. The Stone Child

"Leon, can you take your assignment to class?" miss Nadya said with her soft voice.

Leon shook his head. He did not move from his chair. Miss Nadya tried to remain calm. He relented, stood up from his chair and approached the little boy.

He saw the book in front of him. The sheet is still clean and empty without a hand stroke.

"You didn't do your job?" ask Miss Nadya gently, "you can tell your family, without a family tree. It's okay."

"Miss, Leon can't tell much less make it. Since Leon doesn't know Leon's family," the boy replied as he looked at his teacher's face.

A moment later the whole class was rowdy. There are some children who laugh, whisper and some even blatantly scorn.

"He has no family. Maybe like a troll, out of a rock."

"Like Superman, maybe. Sent with a space capsule."

"Or maybe he was found on his doorstep, so don't know who his parents are."

Miss Nadya sighed before answering. "Leon, take your bag to the counselling room. Meet Mr. Ray."

"Ariel! Ronald! Get back to your tables!" shouted Miss Nadya with a huff. Leonard packed into the counselling room.

Leonard walked slowly with a sense of annoyance in his chest. He never even dealt with a teacher at his school. Now he had to face a counseling teacher just to discuss something like this. Jeezoo...

His steps came to a halt in front of a room with the inscription 'Student' on his doorstep. He did it a few times before opening it.

Mr. Ray smiled welcoming the appearance of a cute face in front of the door of his room.

"Hi Leon's. Is there something you want to say?"

"Miss Nadya asked me to come here."

The man frowned. "What's up? Did you do something you shouldn't?"

Leon took a breath. "I can't finish my job."

"What job is Leon? Maybe I can help you a little." Mr. Ray linked the fingers of his hand while trying as hard as possible to face the little boy before him.

"I'm not sure, sir." Leon lowered his face. He feels guilty. But this is one way of getting information on who his real father is.

"Why don't we try. I'll help you make your job. Tell me what duty it is."

"Make a family tree as a presentation."

"I don't think it's that hard. Where's your predicament?"

"It's certainly not hard if I find out who my father is." The little boy swung his two legs hanging from the chair. He felt his bait had come in.

"So you don't know who your father is?"

Mr. Ray saw the archives on his desk. It seems the archive has not been studied.

His eyes were round when he looked inside the archive. He was silent, unable to say any more words.

"It seems like you need to talk to your mother" he said a moment later. "He should have filled out the registration form completely."

The young teacher immediately picked up his phone and pressed the number listed on the register form in front of him.

"Leon, you can go to the cafeteria. Join the other students to rest," he said as he waited for his call to be received. "the father will call you again, later."

Leon walked out of the room. He closed the door slowly.

He took food from his bag. A small box that has been filled with a sandwich that is very tempting to taste.

"Hi, Leon the Troll. How's your old stone?" a boy said he was mocking her. "Are they good to you?"

Some children laughed at the taunting. Leon pretended not to hear it and busied himself with his food.

A little girl, her classmate was sitting next to Leon. He smiled at her as he opened his box.

"May I join?" tanyakanya.

Leon just smiled faintly and nodded. He enjoys his packaged orange juice and hasn't touched a sandwich in his lunch box.

"My name is Angela," said the girl, extending her hand. "do you need any help with your studies? I want to help you."

Leon smiled at the girl.

Angela pushes her food box on Leon. "My mom is good at making sushi. Do you want to try it?"

"It looks really good" replied Leon.

"Try."

"I don't want you to starve in class" replied Leon trying to resist.

"It has. Chipper. Aren't you my friend now." The girl forced him.

"alright. What if we exchange supplies this time?"

Angel smiling. "Good idea. You can taste my delicious sushi. And I won't starve."

And they exchanged boxes happily. Both enjoy each other. Until a boy approached them.

The boy looked angry. He grabbed Leon's drinking bottle and poured the water in it into the box of sushi he was enjoying.

Leon surprised. He immediately got up from his chair. The big boy grabbed Angel's hand.

Angel thrashed, releasing her arm that seemed to hurt from the boy's grasp.

"Sir Doni, let go!" yells.

"You can't be friends with a kid like him. Even his parents are a rock." Doni gripped Angel's hand firmly.

"Take him off. Why you hurt women. If you don't like me, it's enough of me you're hurting."

Doni took off his grip. "Is this a challenge?"

"So whatever you think. You can't force someone like that" Leon replied casually.

Doni angrily approached her and hit Leon with his fist right towards her face.

Leon easily read his movements and dodged his punch. As a result, Doni's stomach hit the canteen table and produced a noise.

Because his fist missed, Doni was not satisfied there. He re-launched his punch. This time he pointed his fist at Leon's chest. Leon went back to reading his movements and he avoided them again easily.

Doni fell to the floor. His face looked grimacing in pain. In his mind, Leon was smaller than him, why so nimbly dodged him.

Mr. Ray who happened to come to the cafeteria, became surprised.

"Doni! Leon! What are you guys doing?"

"Do-Doni hit Leon, sir." Angel gave her testimony in a stammer.

"Three of you to my room, now!" mr. Ray's orders.

"So Doni, don't you feel ashamed, as upperclassmen are bothering your underclassmen." Mr. Ray started to make a sound after hearing the story from Angel.

"But he's not a good boy, don't acknowledge his parents, sir."

"You cannot judge a person in such a way before knowing the truth" Mr. Ray said sternly. "Sir Ray wants you to make peace now."

Doni reached out his hand and Leon accepted. "I'm sorry, Leon."

Leon smiled, "It's okay, brother."

"Alright, Doni. Go back to class. And Angel, thank you. You can also go back to your class."

The two students left the counseling room. While curious, Mr. Ray looked at Leon.
