Before starting to look for evidence, Elena first went to look for Bob Howard because after all the man was Jansen's father. He wanted to know if Bob was taking action for his son or not. Do not let him do things in vain because he is sure, as a father Bob must take action to free his son from prison.
Bob is a politician, there's no way he's letting his own son go to jail because it could ruin his reputation and he believes Bob must be making an effort to get Jansen out of jail.
Elena is welcomed by Bob because Elena came to his residence. Coincidentally it was a weekend so the man was home. His arrival certainly made Bob a little surprised but there was something he wanted to talk to the new lecturer.
"I'm sorry to interrupt your time, Mr. Howard," said Elena, stale as she was welcome to come in and sit down.
"No problem, Miss Jackson. I happen to have something to talk to Miss Jackson about, but I wonder what Miss Jackson's purpose is to come to me. I'm sure there must be something important that Miss Jackson is trying to discuss."
"There's something important I'm going to talk about, Mr. Howard. I think you already know what I came for, I was about to discuss Jansen's matter with you!" said Elena.
"I think there's nothing to discuss anymore. I know your good intentions, Miss Jackson. But I don't think there's anything to discuss about him. I did ask you to educate him and change him but now, there is no need. Sorry to bother Miss Jackson."
"What do you mean by this, sir? Are you taking any efforts to free himself from prison?" elena asked in hopes that Bob Howard would take action to get his own son out.
"No. No, don't misunderstand what I'm saying."
"Misunderstand what? Aren't you taking action to free himself from prison?"
"No, I didn't!"
Elena was shocked to hear Bob Howard say. Didn't do? Is Bob joking or is he serious about what he says?
"Why, Mr Howard? Your son. You should be looking for evidence to get him out of jail!"
"For what, Miss Jackson?" Bob looked at Elena sharply. He was already tired of Jansen's bad behavior to the detriment because he had already made a lot of trouble so why else defend his useless son?
"You don't know what he's done, you don't know how much mess he's done and I'm tired of the mischief he's done and I'm fed up. He never listened to me, Jansen always did whatever he wanted without thinking about my important position as a politician so why would I defend the troubled boy? It's better he's in jail, maybe he'll self-introspect and once he gets out, he'll be a useful person!"
"You're too naive, Mr. Howard. When he gets out of jail he'll be ruined by his bad reputation. He's going to be hard for society to accept and he's going to go crazy because you don't care about him. All causes must have consequences, there must be a reason why Jansen can be like that and as his parents, you should find out why and then talk about it well with him. I'm sure he'll understand and change. As his father you must pay your attention, Mr. Howard. I think he just needs you!"
"Silent. You have no right to lecture me, Miss Jackson!" bob shouted loudly. He did not accept anyone hunting him let alone being patronized by a young boy.
"I know what I'm doing. I've spoken to him but he never wants to hear and he's throwing more and more tantrums. Before I asked for your help, I had already advised him and wanted him to change but what? It was just a commotion that he did that even he was so pretentious with challenging the twenty young men. Does he think he's great? As a result of his actions, he almost killed two young men who were unlucky to meet him and this time chaos, I did not want to interfere. It was better for him to be inside the prison so that he could reflect on the mistakes he had made!"
"Have you found any evidence that he's looking for anything first? Have you seen that he challenged the twenty youths?" elena asked with stifled emotions because Bob did not care about his own son. Is this the reason that makes Jansen a bad boy? Did his father never care so much that he rebelled?
"No need for proof, everyone already knows that he was the one who did it!" said Bob Howard. Like others, he considers Jansen the prime suspect of the chaos.
"It's amazing, Mr. Howard. It's so awesome!" elena said sneering.
"Your intentions are really good, you let your son go to jail without any evidence of crime and as a father, you shouldn't have done this because when Jansen found out, he said, he will be disappointed and hate me. My advice, you better find out the truth first. I believe he can't possibly have the guts to gang up on twenty people by himself. A high-class criminal will still think again to do it especially with his bare hands. Don't trust the other side and don't seek the truth because of the bad deeds he's done!" said Elena. He hopes Bob changes his mind and takes action to free his son.
"alright, fine. Thank you for your advice Miss Jackson, but I'm sticking with my stance. I won't do anything because my son is guilty. I won't defend him anymore. It's enough of all the mess he's done and I, don't care about him anymore!"
"It's a pity, Mr. Howard," said Elena as she moved from her seat.
"I'm sorry to interrupt your time, it's all beyond my expectations. I thought you'd find the truth to set your son free but it's not like I imagined. Even if you've said I don't need to interfere, but I'll still help Jansen and look for evidence because he's my protege. If he is guilty then I will not go against the law so that he can be processed as he should but I believe he is innocent and once I find the proof, I will help him to be free!" elena said again.
"As far as you are, Miss Jackson. I won't ban it but I won't thank you either!"
"I hope you stick with your ego and have no regrets about wasting it. Sorry to interrupt your time, Mr. Howard. Excuse me!" Elena said as she walked away. Elena was among the servants and when she was about to get out, she met Richard and his mother.
Richard even stood in front of Elena making Elena unable to pass. The young man looked at Elena from top to bottom, he had never seen the beautiful girl before.
"I'm sorry" Elena said politely.
"Oh, sorry!" This time Richard stepped aside so Elena could get out.
"Thank you," Elena stepped away but Richard's eyes couldn't look away from her.
"Who is that woman, Mom?" tanyakanya.
"Where Mommy knows. Come on in, hot!" said mother.
Anne goes inside but not with Richard who still sees Elena until she leaves. Was he a messenger who was ordered to see Bob Howard? He better find out. Richard's looking for his father, to find out who Elena is.
"Dad, who's the woman who just came out?" tanyakanya.
"A reporter!" he deliberately said that so that Richard and his mother did not know if Elena was the lecturer he had asked for help.
"Surely the reporter came to interview you about Jansen, didn't he?" ask wife.
"That's how it is, but I don't answer!"
"Other times let him see me, Dad. I'll answer all the questions!" richard pinta. This could be a good opportunity for her to get to know the woman.
"True, Jansen's business let Richard take care of it. Just concentrate on your work!" said Anne. In this way, they can take control to bring down Jansen so that the young man's mentality falls further and so that he can not get out of prison but Elena who was disappointed because of her conversation with Bob, who was disappointed, will actually be looking for evidence to free Jansen because he believes the young man is innocent.
