Can't Lose

Suddenly the weekend was not a pleasant day for Richard as there was nothing he could do but to be at home. After a long time of not having a boyfriend, she never again spends her time outside for fun. It felt like looking for Elena but where should she look?

Richard looked desperate, as did his mother who was thinking of a way to get rid of Elena. His ambition suddenly became bigger. Whoever Elena was she didn't care but the curiosity of that woman filled her heart. As usual, the house feels empty because everyone has their own busyness.

Bob was in his room, busy with work because it was only money and reputation that he pursued all this time. He wasn't even trying to figure out where Jansen lived and what Jansen was doing right now. He also did not think about how Jansen was looking for money for tuition fees that he soon had to pay. All he wanted to hear was Jansen's success and he didn't care about the process.

The sound of his wife's screams started to sound out there. Finally, Anne often scolded Richard because Richard wanted to approach a woman. Bob's got a headache, his wife's getting fussy. Anne's rant is still heard so that makes Bob knead the temple. He better see what Anna's been harassing. After Jansen didn't give him another headache, but why is he now Richard?

"Have Mommy said don't go near that woman, Richard!" said Anne. Bob guesses that Anne must have forbidden his son from approaching Elena, which intrigued Richard even more.

"Mommy always forbids. I'm going!" said Richard.

"Mommy knows you want to go find that woman!" shout Anne.

"If so, why?" Richard also began to get dizzy with the attitude of his mother who became increasingly chatty and annoying.

"Richard, you can't go!" shouted mother.

"Enough, Anne!" bob shouted just out of his room.

"Don't get in my way, Bob. I don't want Richard chasing that obscure woman!" said Anne.

"He wants to go after who, don't get in the way!" said Bob.

"I don't want to, Bob. Richard had to marry an equal woman. Aren't you ashamed if someone says your son-in-law is just a lecturer who doesn't have a clear origin?  After Jansen, don't let Richard tarnish your good name just because of a woman!" shout Anne. He had tried hard to get rid of Jansen from the house and he had succeeded so he did not want his son to mess everything up and disappoint so that all the property that Bob had actually fell on hand Jansen so they get nothing.

"Listen to your mother, Richard. You are my only hope right now. Jansen has disappointed me so much so I hope you don't disappoint me like Jansen because I don't hesitate to throw you out like I kicked Jansen out!"

Richard could only silently hear his father's words. Just want to get close to the woman he wants why not? Is this what Jansen felt that she rebelled and went wild out there? No, he can't be like Jansen. But that doesn't mean he's gonna stop chasing Elena. He's gonna find out who Elena is, maybe that woman isn't just any woman. He should not underestimate like his mother.

"You hear that Richard?" ask mother.

"I know, I'm just out for the wind because I'm bored."

"Don't come home too late!" said mother. Richard obeyed as well. Indeed, he must be made aware that tidal like Jansen who is just a trash.

Richard left, to get some fresh air and find a friend who could help him figure out who Elena was. His curiosity became even more so he was increasingly banned by his mother. Let's just hope his guess is right so that his mother doesn't forbid him from going near Elena anymore. Compared to other women, she was more interested and curious about Elena. For the time being he would be an obedient child because he did not want to be considered like Jansen by his father because Jansen was just trash but a young man whom they considered trash at the moment, he said, he is fighting for himself.

The heat of the sun does not dampen his enthusiasm for work. It was a hard side job but he did have to do it to trick the enemy. Every time he wanted to do the rough work, he always remembered that he was a loser.

"I'll do it!" although he was resting but Jansen still did so so that he would not be hit again.

"Isn't he Bob Howard's son?" ask another worker.

"Where is it possible? The son of an official becomes a coolie, have you gone mad?" say the other one.

"Maybe he was banished by his father!" yell at the others.

The sound of their laughter rang out, Jansen did not care about their laughter because he had indeed been banished by his father. He knew his father didn't care, he wanted to die or live he thought his father wouldn't care at all. For his father, the only thing in his eyes was Richard and his mother. Instead of envy, he did not envy at all because he had not existed for a long time for his father.

"Jansen, someone leave something to you!" a worker who was kind to him approached while bringing something for him.

"Who?" jansen asked astonished that no one knew he was working there.

"Let's go, it looks like your future wife!"

As soon as he heard it, he could guess who his partner meant. Jansen took the given item, it turned out that it was food. After saying a word of thanks, Jansen looked for a quiet place to eat. Already she guessed if Elena, it seems like Elena knew if she worked there but isn't that good? This way Elena could see his sincerity.

Elena really did not look down on her even though she already knew that she only worked as a building porter. Elena even sent him lunch and what made him think hard at this moment was, the challenge Elena gave him. Was Elena serious about what she said yesterday? He's not sure but he'll keep trying to keep himself.

Jansen took a cell phone, to contact Elena because she wanted to thank Elena who was so kind. Not only did she give him a ride but she ate for free even though Elena said she would charge him someday but in such an age, finding good people was not easy.

"I've got the shipment you sent me" Jansen said as Elena answered her call.

"Good, enjoy it while it's warm."

"Thank you, Elena. I owe you a lot. I promise I will not disappoint you and I will be steadfast to you. I'll prove it to you."

"I told you, don't just mouth it. Just so you know, being my future husband is very difficult and not easy. Finish your lecture first and then make a buzz that can amaze me!"

"That's definitely happening, just so you wait."

"If so work properly, Jansen!" said Elena who was standing on the side of the road to talk to Jansen.  He had no idea if Richard who saw him accidentally stole with what he was talking about. Richard was visibly upset that Elena had mentioned Jansen's name.

Is Elena currently with Jansen? But how is it possible? It didn't feel like believing but he was sure that he hadn't misheard if Elena mentioned Jansen's name. Insolent, he lost one step over Jansen.

The loser took one step forward. Not only became a rival at home but Jansen also wanted to compete for women with him. No, he can't lose. He had to be the winner and he had to get Elena because she wanted the woman for the first time. Don't let Jansen laugh at him because he lost.
