Chapter 38: The Hidden Thing

Logan propelled his motor, splitting the night wind. His mind was so upset. His feelings are sad and tired. Tired of being underestimated, tired of doing futile proofs. Maybe he is the leader and owner of Logan Enterprise, but that does not make him able to do his best to shareholders. The company is not like a kingdom that when the crown prince ascends the throne will gain the respect and loyalty of the nobles and his people, just like the previous king.

They may fall for Faris, but not necessarily Logan. Logan was considered too young, too rash, and too capable. Thanks to that Faris became one of the most successful young entrepreneurs according to one of the world's famous business magazines.

As Logan begins to hold the reins of leadership that his father has maintained, Logan begins to see the oddities about his father's company. There was a huge amount of money coming from several accounts from abroad at the beginning of the establishment of Logan Enterprise. The numbers are fantastic. At first Logan was not suspicious at all because Faris did have some investors from abroad who worked with him to build his five-star luxury hotels.

But over time the strange thing appeared. The benefits obtained by Logan Enterprise are always not in accordance with what should be obtained. Logan learns that profits are routinely made into the accounts of a Swiss bank shareholder, in the name of Jackson Chou. The amount that goes into the account even reaches an unreasonable number of net profits earned by Logan Enterprise every month.

Logan tried to stop it. He cut the profits that should have gone into the Swiss bank account by a few percent, to a figure that matched the amount Jackson Chou should have earned. And that makes the profits earned by Logan Enterprise increased. Logan also improved the quality of all aspects of the hotels so that the Logan Ritz was awarded to be one of the best hotels in Asia.

But what Logan did made the shareholders act. They are trying to return the profits that go into the Swiss bank the same as before. They keep pushing Logan. But Logan insisted that the profits earned should be divided based on percent shares according to the shares owned by each shareholder.

This makes the relationship between Logan and the shareholders more heated. Shareholders even threatened Logan with the land dispute case. If Logan still has not returned the profits given to the shareholders in the Swiss bank as before, the shareholders will continue to urge him, even if necessary to make Logan resign from his position.

Until after the reception Logan and Rania held some people came to see Logan. At that time Logan was in the meeting room along with several shareholders. The meeting was closed.

"You must return the percentages that went into Jackson Chou's account as before, sir. Then we will stop the land dispute" said a middle-aged man who is one of the shareholders of Logan Enterprise. These words were endorsed and supported by other shareholders.

The meeting room is rowdy, the shareholders are trying to convince Logan. But Logan remained unmoved.

"Sir Davin, you know this most. You should have convinced Mr. Logan not to cut income on Jackson Chou. This will jeopardize Logan Enterprise, sir." Davinpun is now the target of protests from shareholders.

The shareholders increasingly boisterous vent their disappointment and anger. "Don't blame us if one day Jackson Chou comes here, Mr. Logan! We warned you!"

Then they disbanded without being ordered because it was useless to persuade the stubborn Logan and stick to his decision.

Logan was still flirting in his position, Davinpun did not move from Logan's side, still accompanying Logan who was silent no matter what he thought.

Hearing the door of the meeting room knock and then opened, Fany came to announce something. "I'm sorry sir, there's a guest."

A man with a tattoo that filled his neck walked forward to where Logan was sitting. The man looked throughout the room and then sat not far from Logan. Logan was still unmoved while looking at the man sharply.

The tattooed man filled the neck greeting Logan in English, "What a wonderful new building this is. Good investment." said the man, lifting his leg and resting it on the table.

Logan silently watched the disrespectful man.

"Who are you?" Tanya Logan also speaks English.

"Ah, right too. I should have introduced myself first." The man observes Logan, "It turns out you're Logan Victor, the son of Faris Victor, the man who shoplifted my money all along."

Logan's body stiffened, feeling uncomfortable with the man's attitude.

The man looked at Logan fixedly, "Include, I'm Jackson Chou."
