My Own Korean Drama
Chapter 16 - After the Rain Passes

Rainbows

I don't know why everyone thinks of it after it rains

It is not just rainbows that appear after rain

Let me tell you mine

Aquila, and Madame Dilaeni drove me to the train station this morning. I dragged the same suitcase as when I arrived in this country. Auriga is not allowed to come. Madam Dilaeni actually took the baton to tame Auriga. I took off Aquila's arms to hug Madame Dilaeni.

“Thank you for driving me,” I said as I let go of the hug. I walked away from the two men. I looked once before finally disappearing into the platform.

To this day, no one knows me as Trine McKenzie. Either because of my appearance or because I speak Indonesian fluently. I lifted my suitcase into the car before finally finding my seat. A girl was sitting in a chair by the window right next to me. His stature was small, his black hair dangling long. His skin is yellowish white. The girl was busy typing on her lap laptop until she was unaware of my arrival. The girl's head looked up as I sat next to her. The girl's lips curled up to welcome me. That smile is so sweet. I returned it with a smile.

I stared at the ticket in my hand. Semarangs. I even found out the name of the city when I booked my ticket last night. I don't understand why I chose that city. I tucked the ticket into the journal I was carrying.

“People Semarang also?” Ask the girl next to me with a new accent. The girl closed her laptop and put it in her backpack.

“Not, I am just on vacation,” I replied then embraced the girl.

“You are a Semarang native?” Means back.

“Iya,” she replied while looking at me.

“There is a little recommendation?” My love.

“Ehm people usually come to Lawang Sewu, Old City, honestly I do not really know the places in my own city. I studied in Singapore so yes.. I know more about Singapore,” he replied.

“I'm also like you, I was born in London but I know Seoul better,” I replied.

“You went to college in Korea? Oho! You are similar to Trine!” The girl half-screamed. I put my finger in front of my lips.

“I'm here for a vacation,” my whisper. The girl opened her eyes in disbelief.

“Ah, I'm Calya, nice talking to you!” he said suddenly introduce himself. I could see the purity in the girl's eyes as she said it. The conversation then flowed naturally until we arrived at Tawang Semarang Station.

MY OWN KOREAN DRAMA

“You've been picked up?” Calya asked as she got off the train.

“No,” I replied honestly.

“Where are you nginep?” Ask again.

“Not know yet, maybe around here alone,” I replied again.

“So you have no destination?” Ask Calya again who I nod.

“Sleep where I am, I live alone,” he said who either offered or told me to. I stopped walking and looked at him.

“Relax, I'm not sasaeng,” he replied as if he knew what I was thinking.

“Why are you so good? We just met,” I'm a little surprised.

“You go to another city without a manager, without a schedule, without a destination. I think there's something you can't tell anyone else, and I've been in that position. I just want you not to go through such days alone,” explained Calya. I smiled hearing his answer.

MY OWN KOREAN DRAMA

I ended up actually living in Calya's apartment. It was as if a new leaf had opened ever since I arrived in Semarang. Now the one who dominates my day is Calya. I don't know when I'm going back to London or to Seoul, I'm very comfortable living here. Not a city that is too crowded but also typical of a quiet city. This city is perfect for me. I looked up at the night sky through the living room window.

“You like to stay here?” Calya asked while giving her a cup of coffee. Unlike South Korea whose residents are average americano fans, this one coffee is sweeter so spoil the tongue.

“This is silent, different from Seoul. After all I live with a new identity, no one immediately recognizes me,” I replied. The atmosphere was silent for a moment afterwards.

“What is this coffee?” I asked to fill the atmosphere again.

“Moccacino,” replied Calya then sipped her cup.

“I rarely drink it,”.

“I drink it too often, even my life story sometimes feels like moccacino,” he said then sniffed amusedly. I stared at the contents of my cup.

“What is moccacino?”  I still stared at the cup in my hand.

“Coffee, chocolate, and milk,”

“Bitter meet sweet,” I said.

“So you are a book author?” Ask pleasantries. Calya plays her glass. I took a sip of the liquid back from inside my glass.

“Do you want to be a writer?” Ask Calya.

“Now, I'm worried, I also want to quit the Korean entertainment industry,” I replied.

“It's time you quit what you started. There is no harm in leaving the big thing we started. Even Steve Jobs was fired from a company he built himself, there comes a time when we leave all that comfort to seek the comfort we really want,”

“You must be a reliable book author,” my praise. Calya smiled hearing that.

“You yourself don't want to try writing your story?” Ask Calya.

“Do you think anyone will read that story?” Means back.

“Actually if you put your name there, it is certain that it will sell well, but if you use a completely different pen name, it may take a long time,” replied Calya sage.

“I don't think there's any harm in trying.”

MY OWN KOREAN DRAMA

After living in Semarang for some time, I learned a new fact. Not always the rainbow will appear after the rain, sometimes the sun will replace the rainbow position after the rain. One full moon passed, and that's how long I lived in Calya's apartment. During that time I also type one by one word to become a complete story that of course assisted by Calya. Now Calya is one of the most important people in my story. Maybe we have not been acquainted for a long time, and also its existence in my story does not appear often but I know that we will make a good friendship. Like today, where Calya drove me to the airport to return to Seoul. Actually I really want to stay in Semarang forever but I think I should get back to the real world soon. Besides the threat from Auriga has stopped, I miss Min-wook so much.

A month is a long time because I don't have a schedule. That's how long I'll think about what I want in my life. It turns out that I've wasted a lot of time living by using other identities. It's time to go back to being Christina Mackenzie.

Ji Ah looks at me as I step foot towards her. There was no strict guard especially Gu Boy. There was only Ji Ah, and a van waiting in the parking lot. It seems my return has not been reported anywhere. I leaned my back as the car began to drive across this South Korean capital. I reached into my pants pocket. Necklace with Maehwa flower pendant.

“Actually why did you suddenly return to Seoul? Just a month you're gone,” Ji Ah opens a conversation.

“I'll stop being an artist.” I'm sure I'm still staring at Min-wook's pendant. Yeah, the biggest reason I went back to Seoul was to stop living a life I didn't want, as Calya suggested.

“I already knew you would make that decision,” said Ji Ah.

“I want to start a career as a writer,”.

“Did you meet a writer?” Ji Ah asked as if reading my mind.

“How can you know?” Ask wonder.

“I've known you long enough,” he replied from the front seat. I threw a glance out of the car that kept splitting the streets of Incheon. Snow covered most of the streets.

“What news is out?” Manya make sure. During my time in Indonesia I did not try to find out what news was hot in Korea.

“What news? Your dating scandal? Go PD-nim shut down the entire media,” replied Ji Ah casually.

“Why is Go PD-nim so good?” I said to the air. I'm not feeling good about resigning from Purple Entertainment.

MY OWN KOREAN DRAMA

After returning to Korea, I returned to the life of an actress. No one knows the reason behind my hiatus except me and Auriga. I'm back filming, it's not hard for me to take back the drama project. An actress won't be affected much by a dating scandal but still I can still see some bad comments on Gu Boy's social media. That scathing comment hurt my heart.

The day goes on until spring returns as Maehwa flowers bloom. The snow melted along with me who kept waiting to meet Gu Boy. Since winning the daesang, Gu Boy has become busier until I cross paths in the building.

My agency today is looking at my workspace in the company building. A month ago I finally ventured to resign but somehow Go PD-nim instead offered me a room to focus on writing. My heart was becoming more reluctant to offer a rejection.

I opened the door to my new room. The dark room turned bright followed by the confetti that erupted. I was surprised to realize that the culprit was them, Gu Boy. No-no, they are not a full team. Realizing the incomplete members present pinched my heart for a moment. I immediately smiled and scolded them.

“Since when have you been this senakal?!” Omelku to them. The meaning line just laughed complacently. Eun Hyuk walked over to me then hugged me politely.

“We miss you so much, Nuna.” Eun Hyuk then took off his embrace. I looked at the four people in front of me.

“Ah! I'm late!” Say someone behind me. He's Il Hoon who carries choco-mint ice cream in his hands. Behind Il Hoon was Dae Ho who was looking at me flatly as usual. Yeah, just the six of them.

“Happy Nuna, I'm so happy for you.” Dae Ho said flatly then headed to the sofa in my room and threw himself to sleep.

“Do you guys want to eat?” My toot.

“Can we eat while watching the drama in Nuna apartment?” Ask Wook Ok.

“Sure, let's go to my apartment, I'll order food.”

M**Y OWN KOREAN DRAMA**

Rain will always fall, and rainbows are a sure thing to come after. As far as I can remember the rainbow doesn't always appear beautifully. There are times when rainbows are not very visible because the sky is still sad. There are times when the sun is too hot so that the beauty of the rainbow is not visible. The rain always connotes sadness, and the rainbow is a beautiful result of sadness that can be passed, but why is it that after the rain has passed there is no rainbow in my sky?
