My Own Korean Drama

My Own Korean Drama
Epilogues

Thirteen human children gathered in this space. Seven men and six women. Not all of them are couples. There are only coworkers. There are only childhood friends. There are also some memories together.

Whatever their choice, a story will not stop because they become lovers. Their story will also not stop because they do not have a partner. Life will go on whether it is a good thing or not in life.

Park Hyun Sik sat in the corner of the room observing the six members. The six faced each other with their girls. His eyes stopped on a girl with brown hair. The girl's eyes were fixed on the man in front of her. Both of them were joking about. Park Hyun Sik looked at the girl deeper then pulled one of his lips up. Eyes glazed. Park Hyun Sik lowered his head then wiped his tears. He did not know if the girl he liked all this time finally got a man who was able to be his shoulder. He did not know if the man who had been struggling with him was finally able to find a happy ending with the girl. He also did not know if the time would come, the time when his heart would finally let go of the girl he liked and then open his heart to another girl. So did they end up happy? No one knows. The future is too far to say. Happy or not is just a trick of the author.

Any choice, and to be chosen by anyone is an individual thing. No one has the right to judge it, even if it is a decision related to the heart.

If indeed your search has not yielded results, maybe you have to decide for yourself which one you think is good.

The Spring 2020

As my tears subside, Min-wook pulls himself back and lets the spring air blow between us. Min-wook cupped my face as if checking that every part of it was still intact. His finger rubbed the remaining tears flowing down my cheek. Her lips were pulled upwards as if satisfied with my tear-free dry face.

Min-wook takes off the scarf he used. The scarf I gave her before she left for America in the winter of 2013. Min-wook folded it neatly and then took my hand and put the scarf over my hand and said, “one day if we can meet again, and Nuna is ready to fall back in love with me, take this scarf, put it on my neck. I will very much look forward to that day coming, and I will always wait for it.”

“What if that day never comes?” Tanyaku. I don't know where the question came from but I said it out loud.

“Then I will stop waiting for a bowl *kimchi*jjjigae when the summer rains come.”

Then Min-wook took a step forward and then pressed his lips against my forehead. It was then that I realized that it might just be his last kiss.
