"No way! Your lover must have left you because he realized that my face is perfect and more handsome than you. But as a friend, I won't accept him. I don't want any secondhand from you." Dean said with a disgusted face.

Ricky, who saw that, threw an empty soda can over Dean's head.

"Aww." Dean said, rubbing his head.

"It looks like your brain has shifted. I don't want to listen to your babble." Ricky said, moving towards his room.

One by one they left Dean who was still in the living room.

"They must be inferior to me." Murmured Dean with his leisure.

After a journey of more than 6 hours, Robert and Erica arrived at an empty land filled with shrubs. About 5 meters from their car, there is a tall gate that looks unkempt. The gate looked rusty and every iron bars were wrapped around by wild plants.

What kind of place is this? Even vampires don't live in places like this. Think Robert.

The man looked at Erica and said,

"Is this really our goal?" Ask with furrowed eyebrows.

"Yes. Invisible doesn't mean it doesn't exist. (Unseen doesn't mean there isn't)" Erica said confidently.

"Okay. So what do I do next?" Robert said with his head tilted. He really doesn't understand.

"Just watch this." Erica said with a blink of one eye.

Did he just tease me? Robert thought with a thump.

The woman suddenly got out of the car and walked closer towards the gate. Robert was still speechless and only looked at Erica who was walking carefully.

Erica wore only one set of sportswear wrapped in a jacket. But she looks sexier in that outfit.

"What's he gonna do?" Robert muttered and got out of his car.

Whether Erica cast what spell, Robert could not understand every word that came out of the woman's lips.

Erica raised her hand into the air and her palm faced the gate. A flash of wind blew fiercely and suddenly there was the sound of a gate lock being opened.

Trings. Trings. Trings. Cclack. Kriiiieeett.

Robert just stood still and looked at the slowly opening gate. Unknowingly he was too cool to see the magic of the gate that could open itself to not know that Erica called him.

"Roberts... Robert.. Hey!?" Erica said repeatedly until the man woke up.

"Huh?" Robert was confused.

"We can get in now. Come on, get in the car." Erica said then walked first to her car.

Robert still looked towards the gate in confusion. But for not wanting to make Erica wait for long. Robert got into the car.

Slowly the man plugged the gas and passed into the empty land.After the car had completely passed through the gate, the gate was closed again.

"What the fu*k!" Robert said in surprise.

Then it was not finished being surprised by it, again there was another surprise. The surrounding air became cold and thick fog covered the view.

Robert tried to ask Erica for an explanation. The woman looked calm and there was no trace of anxiety.

"Can you explain what's going on?" Robert asked with one eyebrow raised.

"You'll know later." Answer the woman with a smirk.

"It's not dangerous, is it?"

"Well. You drive the car slowly. It will look like the way ahead." Erica.

"Have you been here?" Asked the man while slowly driving forward the car.

"No. I just follow my feelings." Erica.

"The feeling? Not instinct?"

After driving forward for about 20 minutes, seen from a distance the ancient houses with lighting from the lanterns in each front of the house. There are not many houses standing, only about 20 houses exist.

Suddenly there was a man wearing a brown coat and hair that was seperated shoulder to block the car. His gaze was sharp and cold.

The man folded his hands in front of his chest and said,

"Who are y'all? What's the need to come here?" Ask.

Robert turned his head towards Erica with one eyebrow raised. Erica shrugged her shoulders and got out of the car.

Before the woman got out of the car, Robert pulled her hand.

"Wait on! What if he's a bad guy?" Said Robert.

"He looks like a resident here. So. I can have him drive us to my relative's house." Erica said and once again prepared to get out of the car.

"Wait... Erica.." Robert shouted a little.

Erica got out of the car and approached the man. Worried that the stranger had done nothing to the woman, Robert got out of the car and approached them.

"I want to go to my relatives' house. The Donovan Clan." Erica said calmly.

"Ah, Donovan Clan? Huh! Prove that you are one of the Donovan Clan. And again..why is a vampire here? Are you lost hmm? " The man said with disdain.

"Wherever I am, it's none of your business." Robert said with a sharp look.

"Okay. Stopit! What do I have to do to make you believe?" Ask Erica.

"Erica! You don't have to prove anything to him. Who is he?!" Robert said as he pulled the woman's arm to face him.

"If you don't want to give evidence. You better get out of here. Now." Now." Said the man.

"Robert, we need to find the book soon. So let me prove it to him." Erica said with a slight whisper.

"I'm from the Donovan Clan who mastered healing magic. I'm going to do healing magic. No one here is sick or hurt.." Erica said to the man.

"I'm carrying poison at this time. And the poison was reacting to the vampire. So then.. You can get your friend to drink the poison and then you can cure him. It's easy, right?" Said the man with his smirk.

Robert felt annoyed and wanted to lash out at the man before him. But he cannot be rash, because he is here on a mission. Mission to search for witch ritual books.

While on the other hand, Erica's face looks tense. He couldn't have asked Robert to drink the poison. His mind is full of questions.

What if the poison I've never seen?

What if I fail to make that man believe?

And.. What if I fail to heal Robert?

Damn it! Is there no better option?

"You look doubtful. Are you afraid of being caught if you're just lying? Nevermind! you're wasting my time." Said the man with a grouchy look.

"Wait on! I'm gonna do it. But before that.. I wonder what poison it is?" Erica.

"You must find out for yourself through the symptoms caused by the poison. To be sure, this is no ordinary poison." Said the man with a smile.

Erica was silent and looked like she was thinking. That woman can't risk someone's life like this. Moreover, his healing magic ability was not perfect yet. Therefore he needed to concoct medicine to help his magic.

If only his magic was perfect, he would definitely not have trouble like this.

"Give me the poison." Robert suddenly said.

Erica who heard that was immediately shocked and looked at Robert in disbelief.

No. gabe. Why did he decide without a second thought? Think Erica.

"I believe you." Said Robert calmly.

Erica was unable to speak. But, inevitably he still had to do this.

The man gave Robert a small bottle of the black liquid. Without hesitation, Robert drank all his poison to the end.
