PART 24 - LEO MISSES THE IMPORTANT THING

After lunchtime, Leo and Lili Chek-out from the hotel. They entered the car and started leaving the hotel area.

On the way back home, Leo gets a phone call. He took his phone and it turned out to be a call from Sisil. I don't know what else Sisil contacted him? He thought all the business with Sisil was done after he fired Sisil from his office.

Leo rejected the call and removed the ringtone. He lazily answered Sisil's call. Besides, by his side is Lili. Don't let Lili ask a lot of things because she has told Lili she has fired Sisil.

As soon as she gets to the yard, Lili and Maisy's nanny, who is holding Maisy, get out of the car first. Meanwhile, Leo again gets a call from Sisil.

Leo ignored the call again, he refused. However, there was a message coming in from Sisil.

'Leo, why did you forget the meeting with the client? I've been making her schedule since a few months ago, you shouldn't have forgotten. Didn't you check your schedule again?' sisil.

Leo remained silent. She was confused, what was the meeting today? Her thought. He also has not seen his work schedule.

Leo called Sisil and Sisil answered his call.

'Oh my goodness ... It is very difficult to contact you, said Sisil.

'Meeting what do you mean?' ask Leo.

'Meeting with an American client. They have come since this morning, and you should have a meeting with them over lunch, said Sisil.

It seems that now Sisil is freer because he is no longer tied to work with Leo. He doesn't need to talk to Leo formally.

Leo patted his forehead. He completely forgot about it.

'Didn't Brother Nio try to meet them?' ask Leo.

Antonio Sasongko, or the man commonly called Nio, is Leo's older brother. He serves as the chief director at the family company that also has Leo as the operations manager in it.

'That's the job scheduled for you. Mr. Nio must have thought you would handle it. Mr. Nio was also busy, therefore he could not attend. Last afternoon, it was me and the representative from the office who met them. They just kept calling me, 'cause they must think I'm still your secretary. They want to meet you in person, Sisil said.

Leo sighed. Die already, the meeting was very important and he should not have ignored it.

'I've made excuses for them, I'm telling them that something happened to you. Now, it's up to you how you're going to face them, you're going to come to that meeting or not, that's your problem.

Leo looked at the screen of his phone when he saw his brother contact him.

'Then arrange a meeting for tonight and tell them that I will come to see them, they should still be in Jakarta, ' Leo said.

'I'm not your secretary anymore, why should I? Enough this afternoon I helped you, now I don't want any more, ' said Sisil.

Leo sighed. Sure enough, he had already fired Sisil. Obviously Sisil refused, the job was not the responsibility of Sisil anymore.

'I'll pay you, ' said Leo.

Sisil will be back to talk. However, Leo interrupted Sisil's words.

'I'll pay you for tonight, so accompany me when I see them, ' said Leo and ended the call.

Leo then presses the call to the contact of the brother and soon the contact of the brother answers the call.

'Hello, Brother. What's calling me?' ask Leo.

'Why didn't you come to the meeting?' ask Nio.

'I forgot about it, ' said Leo.

'How could you remember? You didn't even go into the office, ' said Nio.

'That problem, I had too much fun with my family, ' Leo said.

'Is that a reason? You should be able to manage your time. Did you forget? When Papi sent you to a branch office in Bandung? Do you want to go back there?' ask Nio.

Leo took a deep breath and exhaled slowly.

'Yes, I'll take care of it, ' said Leo, then the phone ended.

Leo squeezed his phone. The instant he became annoyed, especially after hearing about her previously being sent to the branch office, it was really annoying.

Leo got out of the car and entered the house. He saw Lili in the room. Meanwhile, Maisy is with her nanny in another room.

Leo looked at his watch and time was almost at half-time 2.

"Tonight I'm going out, please get my clothes ready" Leo said.

"Get out for what?" ask Lili.

Leo looked at Lili and sighed.

"Job," said Leo and removed his watch. He put his watch on the nightstand.

"You mean, you have a meeting to discuss work at night?" ask Lili.

Leo saw Lili again.

"I forgot today there was an important meeting" Leo said.

Lili frowned.

"Sister Nio just reminded me of that. I was supposed to meet them at lunchtime, but I forgot" Leo said.

Yes, Nio is the best reason. Because Nio had indeed actually contacted him and reminded him of the meeting. There was no way he would say that it was his former secretary who reminded him of the meeting.

Lili silently watched the look on Leo's face that looked uninspired. Nio must not only remind Leo, Lili thought Nio must also scold Leo. Leo seemed excited before.

Lily also felt bad. Because Leo chose to accompany Maisy and her all day, Leo forgot his responsibilities towards work.

"I'll prepare," said Lili and smiled.

Leo was silent at Lili's smile. Tumben once his wife was smiling sincerely like that. It was usually very difficult to make his wife smile.

Leo watched Lili walk into the dressing room. He then walked out of his room and went to his study. There, he contacted Sisil and asked Sisil to send him a copy of the documents he would discuss with his client later tonight. It is very troublesome if he does not have a secretary, when will he get a new secretary? It's lucky Sisil wants to help her. At least, the woman he had dumped did not take revenge on him, he thought.

Until almost 4 pm Leo was in his study to check the important documents. He was really serious about checking all the important things in that document. Apparently, he was reluctant to be sent back to the Bandung branch of the company.

In the middle of his activities, the door of the study room opened and his attention was on Lili who entered his study while carrying a glass of juice in her hand. Lili approached him and thrust the juice at him.

Leo took the juice and drank it.

"Leo," said Lili and Leo who were still drinking the juice and then saw Lili.

"Thank you for playing with Maisy all day. Yes, even though you end up forgetting your responsibilities towards work," said Lili.

Leo placed both his hands on the table and one of his hands then propped up his chin. She looked at Lili making Lili smile.

"I was secretly filming while you were with Maisy at the pool" Lili said.

"Oh yeah? What's the recording like?" ask Leo.

"Do you want to see?" asked Lili while frowning her forehead.

Leo also nodded.

"All right, I'll send it," said Lili and turned around. He rushed out of Leo's study.

"G ... She is indeed other than other women who will usually be happy if they get branded goods!" said Leo while stretching to stretch his muscles that feel stiff because of sitting long enough. Look, his wife looked enthusiastic after she confirmed the question.

Lili looks happy just because she says she wants to see the video footage that Lili took. While when he bought a dress and heels that are usually liked by women, Lili was actually angry.
