PART 49 - IT WON'T STOP YOU

Leo sat in a cafe and kept looking at his phone, hoping that there would be a reply message or a call back from Lili. However, waiting for all this almost bored him. He also became reluctant to go to the office, especially now that time has entered lunchtime. He won't be able to focus on working.

Leo gasped when he entered a call. After that, he looked uninspired. He thinks the phone's from Lili. However, the phone was from her sister. He also answered the call.

'Hello, ' said Leo.

'Leo, since morning you've not been in your room. He said you haven't arrived at the office yet, are you okay?' said the brother.

'Yes, ' said Leo.

'Then why don't you go to the office? I thought something happened to you, ' said the brother.

'No, I'm fine. I was just lazy to go to the office, ' said Leo.

'Lazy said?' said the brother.

'Yes, I'm bored. Instead of me messing up my job, I better not be in the office today, ' said Leo.

'All right, it's up to you. But never complain if there will be a lot of work that you have to handle, said the brother and the phone ended.

'I just don't go to the office for a day, why does he talk like that?' inner Leo wonder.

He felt a little uncomfortable with what his brother said, but no matter how much work in the office he never complained. Although he may have complained, in the end all his work was done, he thought.

Leo then tried his luck once again, he again contacted Lili. However, again Lili ignored his call. The annoyed Leo finally got out of the chair rather roughly. The sound of the chair then made the attention of some visitors to him. Leo was getting annoyed like that and rushed out of the cafe. He left the cafe and went back home.

Arriving home, he went to the kitchen and picked up a cold drink from the fridge. Somehow entering the house made the heat like attacking his body. There's also Maisy's nanny.

"Master," said Maisy's nanny, as Leo watched Maisy's nanny.

"I was contacted by Madam" said Maisy's nanny, Leo almost choked and rushed to end his drink.

"What did you say?" leo asked, trying to make sure that what he heard was not wrong.

"So the Madam called me, sir," said Maisy's nanny.

Leo was silent too.

'He can call the nanny but can't answer my call? What exactly is he doing?' leo's mind is inexhaustible.

"Then what did the lady say to you?" ask Leo.

"The lady fired me" said Maisy's nanny, to Leo's surprise.

"Fired? What are you doing?" ask Leo. Is it possible that the babysitter had done something that hurt her child so much that Lili fired her? Her thought.

"I don't know, Sir. The lady said I had done nothing wrong, and I felt so. That's why I'm meeting you" Maisy's nanny said.

Leo was silent again, thinking whether he should contact Lili again or not? Because she was so curious why would Lili fire Maisy's nanny without telling her?

Leo took a deep breath and exhaled a bit harshly, and finally called back to Lili. However, unexpectedly this time it turned out to answer his call.

'Darling, ' said Leo.

'Why do you keep calling me?' tanya Lili sounded unhappy.

'Of course I'm worried about you, about Maisy, too. Where are you guys now?' said Leo.

'I was on vacation with Maisy, ' said Lili.

'Where is that? I'll catch up with you, ' said Leo.

'You want to catch up with me and Maisy, do you?' ask Lili.

'Yes, I'll go now, ' said Leo.

'No need, Leo. I want to enjoy my time with just Maisy, ' said Lili.

'Honey don't be, I'm really worried you're taking Maisy away from home, ' said Leo.

'Why should I be worried? Maisy went with me, her own mother, ' said Lili.

'You better tell me why you called me?' ask Lili to interrupt Leo talk.

Leo also took a breath. Looks like Lili is still mad at him, he thought. Leo then accidentally sees Maisy's nanny who is still nearby. He also recalled the words of Maisy's nanny earlier.

'Lili, I got a report that you fired Maisy's nanny, is that true?' ask Leo.

'Yes, ' said Lili.

'Why, what mistake did he make?' leo is confused.

'He did nothing wrong, I just no longer need him because I can no longer pay for his services, ' Lili said.

'What do you mean? All this time I paid her salary, why did you fire her without telling me first?' said Leo.

'Leo, after we get divorced I'm responsible for paying the nanny's salary if I keep hiring her. I'm just worried and feeling sorry I won't be able to pay her salary" said Lili.

Hearing the word divorce, Leo became upset. Is there nothing else Lili can say but those annoying words? Her thought.

'I told you, I won't divorce you!' firmly Leo.

Maisy's nanny who heard Leo mention the word divorce was shocked, and it was spotted by Leo.

"What do you see, huh?" leo sounded angry as he looked at Maisy's nanny.

"I'm sorry, sir," said Maisy's nanny and rushed to leave Leo.

Leo rolled his eyes.

'It's really rude!' inner Leo and rushed towards the room. He closed the door and called Lili.

'If you're done talking, then I'll end the call, ' said Lili.

'Wait a minute, ' said Leo.

'Otherwise?' ask Lili.

Leo exhaled heavily and tried a little more calmly.

'Honey, I beg you to go home, ' said Leo sounding clear.

'Your word home?' lili.

'Yeah, go home and we'll talk good. I promise to listen to you, Leo said.

'Listen what? I don't even have anything I can talk to you about, ' said Lili.

'Lily, I will obey all your words. But go home first, I really want to meet you and Maisy, ' said Leo.

'But I don't want to see you, and I don't think Maisy wants to see you either. He is sleeping right now, ' said Lili.

Leo clenched his hand, somehow persuading Lili to go home. He's almost out of his mind now.

'All right, I'll obey everything you want, whatever it is. But on one condition, I want to meet you and Maisy, ' said Leo.

'I've said what I want to you, even since last night I've told you, Leo. I just want to bersce-'

'Yeah, I won't stop you from doing anything. Or if you want me to take care of everything and you just shut up. But Lili, I don't like the way you leave the house, you leave while I'm sleeping. Is that not outrageous? However I am also Maisy's Papa, you took Maisy away without me knowing where you guys are going, of course I am worried about Maisy!' said Leo who finally could not resist his regret.

Lili was silent.

'Let's meet first, if you don't want to go home, we can meet outside. I promise I won't force you to come home!' leo said, and again sounded annoyed.

'Okay, just this once I give you a chance, Leo. If you don't keep your promise, then -'

'Yeah, I promise. You don't have to threaten me!' said Leo.

Lili then mentions an address and it certainly makes Leo surprised. Just now he was about to say something to Lili but the phone was over first. However, even though Lili did not give him the chance to talk again on the phone, Leo was finally able to let out a slight sigh of relief. His anxiety seemed to disappear immediately after being able to talk back to Lili.

Leo rushed out of the room and finally left the house.
