MYFATHER

MYFATHER
Episode 19's

”How was dinner?” ask Mommy Roses to see the speed of eating Yudi reduced and the man more calmly enjoys the dish on his plate.

”Enak once, mother,” Yudi replied.

”Yudi yearsya two words for food, delicious and delicious,” Mirna nimbrung.

”Good,” the woman nodded. ”I'm happy for people who can appreciate our food. Eat as much as possible but leave a little empty space in your stomach because next there are still special dishes.

”Oh, yes?” Yudi turned to Mirna who blushed. ”Should have told me from the beginning so I could control myself more.” both laughed. ”...but I am ready because I know Mirna often makes surprises for me.”

”Ah, it's nothing..” Mirna responded with a happy face as well as worry.

”And you certainly know why he did that, right?” tease Mother Rose, making Yudi almost choked on the bone of the duck she was eating.

”Mother...” hiss Mirna while fire flashes with motion as if winking mischievously.

”Delay hear you want to go home to Jakarta?” the Mother of Roses. ”Tell me about Jakarta, believe-not believe until this age Mother has never gone there.”

”Masa?” Yudi stared in disbelief, with all the existence of the woman and the treasures she possessed it felt absolutely impossible that Mother Rose had never set foot in the capital even though.

The gaze of the beautiful woman who then confirmed her words so that Yudi began to tell about places of entertainment, especially the increasingly mushrooming shopping centers - a topic that never fails to attract the attention of women - and its culinary. Also about the atmosphere of the Old City, which became his stopover when he last vacationed with Siska in Jakarta.

Everything flowed smoothly from her lips, even before the meat on her plate cooled down, while the two women listened without interrupting, while Mother Rose stared excitedly. ”...if you go there I will accompany you to see the famous Pieter Zoen-Coen fortress. The dungeon is still there, we can imagine the feeling of the person who was locked in that narrow place long ago from the iron chain on the wall.”

”Iron chain on the wall..” Mother Rose turned to Mirna and laughed giggling.”. The idea was amazing!”

”Sure,” said Yudi who at that time only heard the last part of the woman's speech, he did not capture the woman's intentions completely, he said, ”Ide is common in that era but certainly supported by the situation of human rights, including for criminals. It can not be done in this era.”

”But if as you say that public facilities like hospitals are more and more, surely more and more babies are born there. What I hear every day is that at least one baby is born in Jakarta, really so big?”

”That makes land in Jakarta so quickly run out. Maybe two or thirty years more people there can no longer bury the dead in the ground but put to the bottom of the sea.”

”That's a terrible thought,” Mother frowned. ”Already, no need to continue!”

Yudi realized his mistake and met his face red with shame. Mirna who saw it smiled a little, ”Sorry, just expressed my thoughts.”

The atmosphere of the dining room melted away as Mother Rose chuckled. His crisp laugh was like music dancing in the ears, ”Ya. Different from the old days. But you want to deliver if someday mama there?”

”By pleasure,” Yudi replied quickly.

”Good! Mommy is glad you have a kind friend, Mir!” the woman said to her son as if encouraging to continue what Mirna was aiming for. ”And I think now is the right time for that special dessert...” the woman clapped her hands twice and the hunched old man walked into the dining room by pushing a food trolley with something under a large aluminum hood. When the hood was opened, it appeared that there was a silver plate next to a small aluminum bucket filled with chunks of ice cubes with the neck of a strange bottle popping from behind.

”Margou 1870, made in a small village in Nantes, France. Brought here by Portuguese traders and since then became the favorite collection of great grandmother,” Bunda Mawar explained a cuddle lifting his glass after filled the hunchback man.”To the happiness of all of us.”

Yudi immediately followed because he saw Mirna also doing so. After replying to the old woman's words she downed her glass and felt her throat like it was flooded with hundreds of warm needles which strangely did not choke her but churned with pleasure. The bitterness that controlled his tongue slowly turned into an unbeatable sweetness as the liquid left him with the remaining froths, which kept him from stopping at the second sip...then fourth.to the last.

The young man sighed with satisfaction while enjoying the warm taste in his throat, ”Definitely this rare wine, the only one still left in Indonesia.”

Mother Rose smiled, ”Ngak too. We got bottles in the wine cellar.”

”You have a wine cellar?” Yudi asked in admiration. He feels like he doesn't live in Indonesia but in other parts of the world where his wealthy people store wine in basements in mansions, or castles.

”Sure. You can see it at any time.”

”Wah, with pleasure! Sure!” yudi said excitedly.

”How does it feel?” ask Mother Rose.

”I now understand why people say the older the wine will be the better.”

Homeowner's woman smiles amusedly, ”Women of course. No need to doubt. I mean pudding. Which makes Mirna you know.”

Yudi nodded, cut a large piece of cake on his plate and put it in his mouth. The soft pudding blends with the cold fla, which is actually more appropriately called ice cream, to then produce a fresh sweet taste in the mouth. This taste is just as amazing as the chocolate tart made Mirna, ”I'm more sure Mirna is indeed a reliable chef.”

Mirna's face was red to hear the praise, stirring the pudding on her plate with a spoon with a bow, trying to avoid Yudi's gaze which could make her blush even more embarrassed. While Mommy Roses glanced at her daughter, ”You should invite Yudi here often.”

Mirna replied, ”Sure, if Mommy doesn't mind.”

”Why mind the arrival of guests who have good taste about food?” answer the Rose Mother. ”Alright, Mommy, you two can continue this dinner if you still want to stay and add the food, while I go back to the room. Sorry can not wait you longer and chat because I am tired today.”

”Sure,” Yudi nodded as the woman stood up from the chair. ”Thank you for the meal tonight. Nice to meet Mommy.”

Mirna looked at Yudi after her mother left the dining room, ”So how? Do you want to eat or go around the house? See the wine cellar if you want.”

”I mostly eat,” Yudi stroking his stomach. ”Cannot walk again.”

Mirna laughed, ”Then we go around her house.”

”Agree! Can I add the wine?”
