Episode 34
The vehicle rolled on a deserted highway, delivering its passengers – Yudi, Siska, and Danu – to the KPC mess. The silent atmosphere controlled the car. There was no joy even though Yudi had returned. Each chose to remain silent; Danu with a self-fortifying attitude because he did not want to be a horn sandwiched between two elephants who were feuding, Danu said, Yudi still remained with an unflagging guilt towards Siska, while Siska with anger that had not fully receded.
Although Siska had heard everything when Yudi set his foot in Danu's house for the first time, it was not something that mattered to Siska anymore. Whatever happened to Yudi in the last days, Yudi now has to go home to Jakarta and get married before she gives birth to her baby without a father.
”But I've lost my job..” Yudi comments with a stupid look.
Siska looked at the man as if Yudi was a pathetic item, ”Is that still important now?You should go home tomorrow. You can find new jobs in Jakarta.”
Turning at the third intersection after the traffic light at Hasanuddin road roundabout, the car went into the same empty employee mess alley as the highway conditions. It was not yet time for office hours so the employees had not yet returned from their offices. They can freely enter Yudi's room to take his belongings without the need to attract the attention of many people, especially Yudi has disappeared for so long that of course many people want to find out about him when they see him there.
Only Pak Agus welcomed them, he looked at Yudi with wonder then asked with a thick Malay accent, ”They are looking for you, man. Where have you been?”
”There are some affairs that need to be cleared up.”
”They say you...go back to Java to get married?”
”Is that what they say?” Yudi shifted unnecessary curiosity, he showed a blatant attitude to Pak Agus if he did not want to be asked again. ”Actually no! I have a personal affair.”
”I thought you brought your own keys?” Agus finally gave up. He understood Yudi's attitude and did not press any further.
”My phone missed in the office drawer,” Yudi answered accordingly.
”Nih, do not lose because you have to replace this one if you eliminate it..” The man replied after removing a row of keys from behind the table.
”Do not worry. I'll just wear it for a while.”
”If I am not there when you return just put the key in the cupboard hanger,” the man pointed to the wooden cabinet which became the storage of various charters and trophies race August 17-an inter-kelurahan.
”Beres,” Yudi waved the key before exiting the room followed by Danu and Siska.
”A annoying guy,” grumbled Siska. ”You remember when we asked him?”
Yudi who was standing in front of them could not hear their chatter completely but he could guess that it had something to do with Siska's aggravation of questioning Pak Agus as the two were conducting a search of him.
”How finished? He is also a KPC employee.same as I used to be.” Danu answered
Yudi pushed the key into the hole under the handle and turned it twice. There was a clicking sound and the door was pushed to the inner side after the lever was pressed. He went into the room, fascinated by not finding the stale air or musty smell of the room that was usually left for three months. Instead, the room was filled with fresh air that exuded the scent of fresh flowers. Yudi frowned at the room lights that were on, he remembered very well that he turned off the lights before leaving in a hurry to the airport.
Could it be Mr Agus who cleaned his room and forgot to turn off the lights?
But that's not usually because the mess guard was only in charge of cleaning parts of the building outside the room, he was only willing to do that for money tips after there were mess residents who asked. At that moment there was a familiar voice, ”Where have you been? Long time... close the door when you get in..”.
Mirna! And the girl was lying on her bed, naked naked...
For God's sake, what is he doing here? Too late!!!
Yudi obviously could not have driven out Danu and Siska who had followed him inside. Seeing both people ’asing’ behind Yudi the sweet smile on Mirna's lips vanished. The girl shouted, between embarrassment and shock, and slipped back under the covers to cover her body, ”Kok you brought those people here, anyway?”
From the corner of his eyes Yudi found Siska's face turned red while Mirna was still screaming, “You want to prank me again huh? You said just go for a while but you brought these clowns.”.
”What the hell do you mean?” Yudi tried to brake the original sentence Mirna which will definitely add to the atmosphere.
”Who are these clowns, dear Yudi..”
”These clowns are Yudi's friends who care about him. Who are you?” sahut Siska cold.
”Ya, tell me who he is..honey Siska now directed her angry gaze at Yudi.
Yudi groans annoyed, ”I don't know who this cunning woman is.”
Siska grunts furiously, ”She's in your room. Naked. Calling you dear and you don't know who he is?”
”OK..oke her name is Mirna..but really I am not..” with emotion she turned to Mirna. ”Tell me how can you be in my room?”
”And you invited me here?” Mirna answered stammeringly, a few seconds later she began to cry.
”Inviting you how? You're still in your house.along with that baby-eating monster and..”.
”YUDI!” snapped Siska. ”Do not distract yourself from the questions. Who is this bitch and what does this have to do with you?”
Mirna is now changing up apitam, ”You have no right to say me once a fat woman!”
Siska gasped at the remark Her face was flushed red as she looked at Mirna who was staring back in a defiant manner. Forgetting about her pregnant state Siska walked quickly towards the bed and tried to grab Mirna's hair. His opponent screamed and shook his hand while trying to dodge, making the blanket exposed and revealing his entire body again which made Danu not blink.
The fight is inevitable. The two girls grabbed each other, clawed, and punched, even Mirna kicked into the air so Yudi worried that the kick hit Siska's stomach. Siska, who was usually gentle and always avoided fights, could no longer control her emotions that time. He wants to take it all out!
“This woman is crazy..” exclaim Mirna.
”Basic cheap hooker! Get out of my fiancee's room!” reply Siska no less hard.
Yudi yelled at Danu to ask for his help. His best friend only realized the situation after being stunned for a while. Thanks to his help the two men managed to separate the girls with great difficulty.
Their screams filled the entire corner of the building, it was surprising that Pak Agus did not run up to see what happened. In fact, until Yudi pulled Siska to the doorway, while Danu held Mirna's waist on the edge of the bed, no one looked into the room. Thankfully, because it really is
disgraceful...
”Let go of me...” snapped Mirna at Danu, she turned to Siska, ”So you're her fiance?” the girl instead looked at Yudi who was behind Siska fiercely, ”Basic liar! Said you broke up with her because you got pregnant without you!”
”Who said that?” yudi Bengpak.
Mirna's expression was shocked without natural, the girl was very smart to play her role, and she cried bitterly, ”You are evil.you are three months in my house...but you came back to him.after what I did.after I was willing to give it all to you..”.
Siska Nanar's view, ”Is that really?”
”Ya..ask her, mad girl..” umpat Mirna chiming fast.
Stunned by Mirna's attitude, the girl had never happened before. Usually she is always sweet, understanding, and gentle even though Yudi is aware of the wild and naughty side she wants to conquer. But, now, the girl looked more like a lion ready to pounce on its helplessly cornered victim. The girl has a dark side of destruction that makes Yudi hate her even more, unfortunately the dark side appears at the wrong time...
”How dare he confess?” Mirna added.
”Shut! You kidnapped me, waita devil! What do you want to do to me? So that I can be eaten by that cannibal monster when I get back there?”
Yudi was busy defending himself so unaware as Siska looked at him with a look of disdain and disappointment. The unresolved anger from his fight with Mirna continues with a slap to Yudi's face. Eggplant! Admittedly, he is good at doing that. Yudi, who once again failed to anticipate Siska's slap, was tackled. His face was flushed red, not only because it endured the pain in the part of the face between his cheeks and ears that had left his hearing drum ringing but also embarrassed for being a spectacle of Mirna and Danu.
”I hate you!” Siska shouted loudly before scattering out of the room.
Yudi looked at the confused Danu, he realized the situation was getting more complicated and it seemed that it would not be repaired anymore. He has lost Siska forever. Even so Yudi is still trying to catch up to Siska accompanied by Mirna who laughs hysterically, ”Siska... wait.
