MYFATHER

MYFATHER
Episode 50's

Overcast all morning was enough to give reason for Yudi to reject Mirna's invitation. The girl had to go to the office after her leave was over. It meant that he had no more free time to accompany Yudi in this house and it was a great relief for Yudi. He didn't want MIrna to be fired for taking too much time for him. Instead, it was used Mirna who wanted to take the opportunity by trying to invite Yudi to the office, rather than the young man alone at home.

”You can take a walk to the city after driving me to the office,” Mirna said.

”If I come with you, lest you even change your mind in the middle of the road and cancel the office,” Yudi said laughing.

”You're afraid of being caught by an office person if you're still here?” mirna said, adding carefully. ”Your secret is safe, baby. No one knows that you haven't been to Jakarta and stayed at my house.”

Yudi refused subtly, arguing that he was not feeling well and wanted to stay in the room. The girl's face turned disappointed but she decided to go alone. So after breakfast Yudi drove the girl to the front porch, where her luxury car was waiting.

”You really don't want to change your mind?” ask Mirna before closing the car door.

”Go, I'll be fine at home..again cool break..”.

”Then we talk again after I get home later, huh?” said Mirna. ”especially about your desire to go to Jakarta to meet Siska.”

”Sure.”

Yudi went up to his room which had been tidied up and looked fresh and new, like he had never slept the night before. I don't know who took care of her, which certainly wasn't Mirna because the girl went down with her for breakfast, nor was the Rose Mother because she hadn't seen her coming down from the top floor. After all, cleaning her daughter's room doesn't seem like a habit of the woman. So it's likely that the male helper was the one who worked on it when Yudi had breakfast with Mirna.

After taking a shower, stuff is packed to put in the backpack. Yudi did not want any of his items left behind and he did it this morning because he did not want to rush. A jacket is used to collect air tickets to check the departure schedule. Ten o'clock in the morning...

He didn't want to be late like a few days ago. Just because I woke up late, rejected due to a few minutes late is certainly very stifling. So better prepare ahead of time. It would be better if he left tomorrow around half-eight in the morning. It may be a bit part, but it's better than sorry, let alone she doesn't know how far away Mirna's house is to the airport.

While returning the ticket to his jacket pocket, his hand touched a foreign object inside. It resembled a perfume tester bottle with a greenish liquid inside. The liquid is not too thick, but in the base there is a fairly thick sediment.

What is this thing? What liquid is inside?

He's never seen this thing, so why is this thing in his jacket pocket?

Yudi knew who the thin-faced man was...Wayan.the figure he followed into the forest and whose body was buried there. But why did the man suddenly appear in his mind as a chemist, when he knew he was a mine explosives expert?

She tried to remember more but the fog covered like a veil across the face of a Middle Eastern woman. A little bit he was able to string together some things that felt odd, although not yet fully intact, but he understood why he had to keep his mouth shut. There is no point in telling the story that he had found the body of Wayan killed by Mirna.

The girl did not look like the beauty she displayed. Perhaps the attitude of love towards her was sincere, yet there was something that the girl had hidden from her. As long as Yudi could not feel that trust, then he was also not interested in giving it in equal portions. Notifying Wayan's murder was wrong, including telling him about this bottle of green liquid...

One thing he remembered vaguely, this bottle contained a dangerous liquid.A kind of poison but did not bring any effect on everyone. It only reacted to some unique creatures...it's just that he doesn't know which unique one is what it means, so for a while it's better this bottle he kept used to be fine. If it falls into the wrong hands, it can be fatal.

Suddenly Yudi felt something passing in front of the room door. He looked back but the figure disappeared. Maybe it was the Rose Mother who passed by because she wanted to go down to the bottom floor. If the woman is up and starts doing activities around the house, it feels unwise if she leaves the door unclosed. Yudi did not want the woman to comment, especially as long as she was in this house while Mirna was busy in the office.

The door of the room is not only closed but also locked so that the woman should not suddenly go inside and find him. Just now that the door was closed and Yudi was about to return to tidy up the remaining items, he suddenly felt as a cold wind blew on his neck. The feather stood up and when he turned his head the young man was stunned to find the door of the room that had been locked was now in a state of opening.

”Yudi..” know-how there is a soft voice calling from behind the door.

”Halo?” Yudi. ”Who's there?”

Yudi bows his head through the doorway, looking for the prankster who opened the door just now, and when he sees a shadow down the stairs not far from the room. He called, ”Hei..” but the figure kept going down, not heeding his call. Out of curiosity Yudi then approached the stairs where the shadow had descended, followed to the first floor and as expected only an empty room he met.

The house is still empty. Yudi looked up to the top floor in case the figure he saw had gone up, instead of down as he thought. From the corner of his eye captured a mysterious shadow that moved from the corner of the room near the intersection towards the kitchen. With a sneak, Yudi approached and when he was not too far from the kitchen, the door to the wine cellar sounded a loud whistling sound. It sounded like someone had just opened the door and descended into the room below..

”Haalllooo?” Yudi called back.

A musty smell greeted Yudi as he entered the wine cellar. The dimness of this room does not seem to change either during the day or at night. The only difference is the ten-watt fluorescent lamp on the ceiling that lights up lazily only after the time shows more than five in the afternoon. After twenty steps through a row of shelves filled with bottles, he came to a door where in the face there were four small steps that stuck out like a dog's tongue licking his nose.

”Haloo?” greet Yudi. ”Is Mother Rose below here?”
