" What exactly are you planning on doing, Jenni?" The cynical baritone from Steve makes the woman who was looking for something in his room now stopped. But Jenni only caught a glimpse of Steve in the doorway.
Jenni didn't say anything she really wanted to end this. He did not find what he was looking for, his mind suddenly fell out of focus because the man looked at him with a cold gaze. Jenni who wanted to get out had to be restrained when Steve went into her room and locked the door. Jenni stared at him with a glaring gaze because she did not expect that Steve did this.
" Stop Steve I have to go back..." Jenni now says it with a little push but in fact the man did not move from where he stood.
" Explain what this all means, why did you come here and want to arrest Mr Zac?" Steve was of course chasing an answer he wanted to hear. Steve of course did not think with his ex, he also did not know that the woman would come with the warrant.
" This is my duty, and I have to carry out my duty. What do you think I'm here for if not to spy on all this, when it's all exposed I have to do, I have to drag your boss around..." Jenni said casually, Steve who heard the answer is now increasingly clueless with what he heard.
" You were yesterday and now saying differently, you said you didn't want to link this to your boss. And you're going to say that this company has nothing to suspect..." Steve was still asking with something he didn't understand.
" I've changed Steve's mind, if I had you not blocked us earlier, and you didn't bring them in now maybe I'd gone up in office and I could have done anything when I was high..." Steve was made not to think that the woman was doing this all just for the sake of a position, he did not think about how about the fragile figure of Steve at this time.
" Department?, you attach great importance to the office and sacrifice my boss?" Steve narrowed his eyes looking at the woman's face that was so calm and relaxed there.
" What's wrong with me Steve?, here I just run my errands, I just want to step up and I'll do everything I can to get on top of my job, including at the expense of everything..." Jenni's words to make her man's heart broken are now even more broken, she deliberately fought him just for a position.
" You did your job too, didn't you?, you were defending your boss' death, nothing was wrong. I accepted everything because I knew it was your job. You said yourself that we could be united because of our profession so you and I now know this is what makes us really unable to unite."
Steve was now turning around Jenni who was standing there, even his eyes were staring intently at the woman.
" You think I'm going to fall apart just because of a breakup?, you think I'm going to cry over everything that's happened?, you think here I still hope you come back?, the answer is No..." Jenni now pressed her word. " My life has to go Steve, I can't possibly be glued to a name I can't reach. You and I are complicated things to do. And I've decided to forget all about us, including deleting your name, and fighting you here..." The woman he held with tears last night is now the woman who stands up against him. Last night's tears were no more, making them hostile gazes.
" You're right we can't reach each other. I'm a fool for wanting to fight for you, I should know that you always have ambitions in your career. I may still not want to fight you openly, but if you want to fight me one more time, I'll make sure I fight you straight away..." Steve was also no less cynical, he tried hard so that he could say it, even though his heart was heavy. But the words from Jennifer made her heart really hurt.
" You've proven that you've fought me Steve."
" I haven't fought Jenni, not at all. But if one more time you want to touch my boss, you'll know what I really am..." He stood behind the woman. " I can destroy you and your team, if you want to try it then tell me I'm ready to destroy your team at any time..." His whisper made the woman close her eyes.
" You've proven that you're in your boss and you're defending your boss even though your boss is wrong in every way."
Bugs!! Steve now hits the wall next to his body making Jenni just a little surprised.
" I don't know what happened to you last night, but all I know is that you're fighting me and I'm going to fight you. If you're ever again looking for trouble with us, I don't see who you are, I don't care about you being a woman or you're a person who's ever been in my heart."
Jenni now laughs, his slow laughter makes Steve just silent he was confused why the woman suddenly laughed like that, there are no funny words in every word of his words.
" I admit you're good at reading people's gestures, you're good at reading all tactics, and you're always fast-moving for all of them. But unfortunately you're stupid about this feeling..." Jenni and Steve now look equally cold.
" You think I really love you, you think I'm falling short of losing you?, no. Everything your boss said was true, I approached you just because of a mission I had to get, I was willing to sacrifice my body only for you to believe in me that I am indeed in love with you, you stupid Steve you are stupid because you are blind because of your love..." Jenni said that immediately unlocked the door and left the man still stuck in disbelief with what he heard from his ex-girlfriend.
