Doing everything for my mother and sisters is the duty of an older brother especially a boy. I did everything for their sake, even sacrificing the playtime that was supposed to be part of my precious time for them. Without expecting anything, I just want to do my best so that my sister and mother's lives are better.
I live with two younger sisters and one sickly mother, I do part-time work at night until the morning at a 24-hour convenience store. My mom takes care of a small cake shop, sometimes I help out even if it's just a little. My mom's cake shop is pretty remote and small, although I said it was really nice but no customers were interested. In the end I expected my small income from the department store and did various other heavy work to meet the school fees, electricity bills, water bills, and various other dependents.
Today was the time of the semester exam, with a half-sleepy lethargic face as lack of sleep made me look messy. Before leaving I gave permission to my mother who was still busy cleaning the store. "Mother, I'm off to school first.."
"Son.you look tired, do you have to go? Can't you just take a day off? Forgive me for being too weak.." The look on my mother's face seemed worried about me, but this was common to me.
"Sstttt it's okay mom, I'll be fine. Today I have to take a test to pass and get good grades in order to get a good job..hehe~" I said soothingly while gently stroking his hand.
"Be careful, son, don't force yourself.."
"Good.."
I left school feeling tossed around, like there was something on top of my head. It felt so heavy to support a body that would not follow my heart, my closed eyes made me start slapping my cheeks.
(Plack!)
"Be aware stupid!" Mumbles.
While I was doing something crazy, suddenly a girl was walking casually as if she had been walking behind me for a long time. She looks graceful but it is also strange to see her wearing a hood that covers her head, with happy steps she walks. Seeing the oddity made me a little curious and finally my drowsiness disappeared.
When I got to the front of the school gate, I saw him walking. I didn't think he was a student of this school, I still followed him because he was on the way to my class. Looking at her who looked foreign in my eyes made me think she was a new student.
'Why are our directions the same?' My mind is confused because the direction goes the same as the direction towards my class.
Until the moment he stopped and opened the door of seventh grade, my class was still a long way off but that was where I knew if he was a junior who was in the class full of rumors.
Time went by so quickly, without feeling like I had passed the exam so smoothly. My brain becomes more excited when I see the problems listed, especially when calculating or analyzing something related to physics-chemical.
"Arghhh my exam this time is a mess! How can it be so difficult?" Complain my fellow man.
"What can be called a test if it's easy? You think it's as easy as counting toes, huh?" Reply to a girl who was about to hand out a piece of paper.
'I agree, after all, all the material given out by the teacher is not wrong.' My mind is full of spirit.
"What'sthis? Cheating paper?"
"Your brains are full of ugly things huh! This is the decision of the principal sir who is choosing the student who wants to be the chairman of OSIS because our OSIS chairman is moving on. So there will be a special exam after the semester." Obviously the girl showed me the contents of the paper.
"Wow, who wants the exam after the exam. Any oy game! The game!"
"I agree, honestly our new principal really has a unique mind huh."
Although the answer is not correct, it is also true who will want to be the chairman of OSIS. Aren't their obligations many and should always be ready to choose an organization over this valuable part-time job.
The girl suddenly drew towards my desk and put the paper down. "By the way Hanji-san, don't you want to come? I see your academic grades are good, I think it'll be good for you."
I think this is my bad trait of not wanting to be close to anyone, even if it's hard to talk to one person even if it's my sister. I had one place where only I was there, no students wanted to because it was rumored to be haunted. Stairs to the old building, where old things are just left behind. I love to relax while enjoying the breeze from the hollow window, the sound of the bell coming in was clearly heard from up here.
"I want to sleep.." I muttered up the stairs, but by the time I got to that place, I saw a student reading a manga.
Just then our eyes met, he looked at me with a surprised look as well as I who did not expect this holy place to be known to others.
"Ah I guess no one, brother want to rest huh? You've been sitting here, brother hehehe.." She confidently smiled her sweet smile at me.
I just kept quiet and sat down on the stairs below, I felt like he was a little jolted. "I-I didn't mean to tell brother to sit under me, but excuse me.."
I let out a long sigh, guilt made me weak and I was finally forced to answer her question. "No. I used to sit here."
"Well, okay.."
Strange, I don't think I've experienced this before. A comfortable feeling near someone else when he was a stranger, the sound of hands turned the thin page of paper. Sometimes the soft sound of laughter accompanies it as if filled with excitement in it, usually I will be angry only with the sound of the breath of others but this time swept my mind.
"Sister. Let's go to class. The bell has rung.."
The soft voice called out to me, I slowly opened my eyes. My first view is,
"... The hand? Hua!"
"Yes!"
We screamed, I slapped that hand that I thought was an apparition but it was just the boy's hand.
"I'm sorry I surprised you, huh?" His words confused me, but I hit his hand but he smiled at me instead.
"N-no, is your hand okay?"
"Ahh, this is okay.just a little really."
"What is a little bit? Does it hurt?"
"Hahahaha don't worry, now is the test. Let's go in fast!" He said half a shout, then ran which I always followed.
I saw her hand flushed with my punch, even though she said it would be fine but I was sure it was sore. Maybe that red color will turn blue if it is not addressed.
"Bah brother, I'm almost there. See you again hehe.. Bye!" He missed out on his class.
I wanted to take him to the UKS, but when I saw him shaking his head from the window, I only replied with a wave of my hand.
"I'll be in charge of little brother.."
Seriate...
