David seemed to get out of his luxury car, then walked into an office building that was very foreign to him. He appeared to be facing the reception desk, then after a conversation with the officer at the table, David again stepped into one of the elevators that would take him to the fourth floor.
Some foreign employees who passed by him seemed to look at him full of curiosity about the charismatic figure who was visiting their office. Instantly, David's presence became the center of attention of women there. Really David seemed to be a magnet in that place, so that makes them not want to take their eyes off of him. In fact, they secretly followed where David had gone.
"Crazy, really cool, who is he?" ask a long-haired female to one of her friends. They quietly followed David behind.
"You don't know who he is?" his short-haired friend turned around.
"Do you know?" ask the long-haired woman again.
"He's David Wijaya, one of the young entrepreneurs who struggled in several areas of the company and managed to rank first," replied the short-haired female.
"Wow!" The long-haired woman looked surprised to hear it. "The odds are seventy percent against the boss" he added, chuckling.
"So, all this time you've judged the boss's good looks to be only thirty percent?"
"Yes, it seems that when compared to her, it is so," replied the long-haired woman while giggling. "Lord, leave one stock of men like David Wijaya for me, Amin," he added, pointing his palm up, and then rubbing it into his own face, so that made her friend chuckle amused to see the ridiculous action of the long-haired woman.
It's not that David didn't know he was the center of attention. In fact, he knew when someone was following him. However, he did not want to bother about it, because there were important things that he had to finish in the office.
David kept going in his elegant style. His gaze focused forward, making his aura more radiant, until he arrived in front of a room CEO of the company.
Without hesitation, David knocked on the door, then entered the room, after the owner had allowed it.
Plaque!
A slightly brown envelope was thrown at the desk, right in front of a man who was none other than the chairman of the company.
The man looked up his head, staring at David. Instantly he published a smirk on his face, then grabbed the envelope that David had thrown in front of him. In fact, without allowing David to sit first.
Without saying anything, the man opened the brown envelope. There was a blank check that he took out of the envelope. And, again he smiled smirk, then looked at David again. Instantly he raised his eyebrows as if demanding an explanation of what all that meant, without wanting to ask David directly.
"Write whatever you want, then cancel the contract of cooperation with my wife!" david's firmness instantly made the man before him chuckle.
Yes, the man is Fathur, a man who only a few days ago was inaugurated as a leader in the company PT. Adi Jaya Hutama, after the father returned to manage his company in America which he had managed directly, when Fathur was still a teenager. Therefore, David never knew Fathur's parents, because he lived abroad long enough.
"You think I need this?" fathur asked while raising the check higher than his head.
"I think it will be enough to compensate your company for the loss" David replied still with a cynical look.
Fathur was silent for a moment while staring at the check that was still in his hand. "If I don't want it how?" his question threw a mocking look at David.
"Say what you want!" pinta David with anger that he had previously held.
"Your wife!" fathur replied firmly, suddenly making David round, then clenched his hands together. It felt like launching a toyoran to Fathur. However, he still held it for the sake of not wanting to look for a commotion in the place of others who would later ruin his own good name.
"Alright, I don't think you'll grant my request."
Seeing David's expression back then, Fathur immediately understood that David would not grant his ridiculous request. In fact, only a man with no heart would give or sell his wife to another man. And David isn't that kind of guy.
Fathur got up from his seat, then stood across from David. He put both his arms into the pocket of black pants that he was in the middle of.
"What if I ask for all the possessions you have? Including your company? Are you willing to give it up for your wife?" Fathur appears to be offering David a return.
This time David was furious. However, it was not much more furious than when the man asked his wife. Yet Aretha was the most precious thing in her life, compared to anything else. Let alone to exchange all the wealth he had with his wife, exchange his life, if it was for his wife, he was willing.
"That's what you want?" david asked to make sure that immediately got a bitter smile response from Fathur. "Alright, take it all, if it can make you stop approaching my wife," he added, which certainly makes Fathur not believe that David would risk it that far. In fact, without first thinking what would happen if he did all that. He will be poor in a matter of seconds.
"Nobody is more valuable than my wife. So, I will not be afraid if I have to fall poor because I give all the property I have to you. You just relax. Whenever you're gonna take it all from me. I'm ready" David obviously looked more relaxed.
Again Fathur published a smile on his face. This time, however, there was something different about that smile. A smile that seemed to radiate happiness from the man.
"This is amazing. I'm amazed at you guys. So, is this your secret? It's worth your wife loving you so much that she's willing to do something for you," said Fathur who suddenly made David feel confused.
"You mean?" david asked still did not understand what Fathur said at that time.
"Already, Dave. I think we're old enough, enough to deal with the problem well and head cold. In the past, we had a bad past, but I think it's time for us to end it all" Fathur said, suddenly making it hard for David to believe. How could Fathur suddenly change, after years of blaming himself as the cause of Arumi's death? Thought at that moment.
"Yes .. I know, it was my fault that I was too selfish to blame you for Arumi's passing, without me wanting to hear your explanation first. I'm sorry" said Fathur, who confused David even more.
"What did my wife do that made you like this?" ask David full of questions.
Fathur returned to smile. "Aretha explained everything. And I just realized how stupid I was. If only I had known from the beginning that you guys were—"
"Enough! Don't talk about it anymore. With you already know everything, I'm very happy to hear it," cut David who did not want to hear the name of Arumi who had once made him slumped because he felt guilty. And he doesn't want to remember that anymore.
"Yes," briefly Fathur slightly glazed. How much he misses the figure of a friend who is currently in front of him.
Fathur seemed to walk up to David, then immediately hugged him, and vice versa. They seemed to let go of longing after a long time never to see each other again, after the incident Arumi committed suicide. They seem to be apologizing to each other, because they hurt each other. Finally the strange story between them ended there. And it looks like it will be a fresh start for them to make friends again like they used to.
After a while, they took off their hugs again.
"I think you should say thank you to your wife" Fathur chuckled slightly.
"Ck! He always does" replied David a little annoyed at being given a very unexpected surprise by his wife. "I hope you don't say anything to him first" he pleaded. However, Fathur only responded with a smile.

With a little hasty steps, David entered the office building where the wife worked. In fact, he did not heed the warm greeting of some employees at the company.
The man continued to focus his gaze forward with a serious expression without any hesitation, until arriving at the door of Aretha's room he immediately barged in without knocking on her first, before he could, so that makes the one who was busy with some files on his desk a little jumped to find the door that opened without permission. And even more surprised, when she realized that her husband had entered her room.
David stopped his steps at the door, when he had just closed the door back tightly, without any gaps.
"Mass?" Aretha rose from her sitting temoat with a confused expression.
David's actions at that time no doubt made Aretha wonder, what had actually happened with her husband, so he looked very serious and scary, but before David had never behaved like that.
With doubt, Aretha approached her husband who was still in place. "Mas, what's wrong? Why are you suddenly here? It's not time to go home yet, you know. The hour of rest was over" said Aretha trying to neutralize her feelings, although in fact she was very uncomfortable seeing her husband's expression at that time.
"It turns out you secretly met Fathur?"
DEG!
At once Aretha stopped, when he heard David's words that were either a question or a statement.
"Mas, I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean ...."
Aretha had not yet finished her words, suddenly David pulled her arm and carried the woman's body into his arms, making Aretha immediately buy behind the arms of her husband.
"Thank you, you've done something that means a lot to me" said David, further tightening his embrace.
