"No! Just take my kidney!" sela David chimed.

Aretha and David looked at each other. Their eyes locked for a moment. David stared at Aretha's dislike, as if he was unwilling if the girl did so.

"The problem .. the patient refused to do that" the doctor explained, which left David and Aretha astonished.

"Why is that?" david asked in wonder.

"If Richard had been willing, it would have been done a long time ago, Dave," Rendy added.

"Yes, but why?" David was furious.

"Richard just doesn't want to destroy a person's life by taking one of his organs. All this time, he was always confident that he would recover without having to do a kidney transplant." Rendy explained.

David glared while clucking in annoyance. He seemed really frustrated with all of that.

"Do whatever is best for my best friend! I'm ready to donate my kidney for him!" david was begging.

"Me too!" Renata also opened his voice in the middle of his sobs that suddenly made Felix turn to him.

There was worry in the middle-aged man's mind. In order to save his first child, did he have to sacrifice his second child? It was a hard choice for him.

Their blood type is definitely suitable. However, what if after surgery, Renata actually suffered health problems? Richard loved Renata so much.

If only he had not suffered from heart disease, he might have done it himself, he thought.

"I'd like to get checked out, Doc!" said Rendy.

"Alright," replied Dr. Hadi. "Sus, please check them out!" he told a nurse who was just a few minutes behind him.

"Well, Doc," answered the nurse named Eka, judging by the name tag attached to her right chest.

Doctor Hadi seemed to pass from before them, while the nurse asked them to follow her.

"Om grateful, because you care so much for Richard" said Felix.

"Om calm, everything will be fine" said Rendy calming.

The four of them followed the nurse to perform various examinations that could assess the kidney match between the donor and the recipient.

They walked through the hospital corridor leading to the laboratory room. Rendy and Renata had walked first, right behind the nurse, while Aretha and David walked roughly two meters behind them.

Aretha and David seemed to go hand in hand. When David turned to the side, and stopped Aretha by holding the girl's hand, Aretha turned to him. They looked at it for a moment. David stared fixedly at the girl before him, there was a trace of sadness on the man's face

"Don't do this, please!" david said pleading.

Yeah, he wouldn't want Aretha to sacrifice her kidney for Richard. Not because of anything, it's just that he was too worried about the girl's health, if it turns out his kidney is more suitable with Richard, then he became the donor. He didn't want anything to happen to Aretha.

"No, Mom! I'll keep doing this check!" aretha hatch.

"Please, Re. Let me do this" David said.

They began to do the examination starting with a blood test, then various other health tests. However, the health condition of the donor is also very important for the recipient kidney patients.

After completing the test, they returned to meet Felix who was still in front of the ICU room. They still have to wait for the test results.

After a long wait, the test results came out. Of the four prospective donors, doctors said that there was only one kidney that matched Richard. Yes, he is Renata, the patient's younger brother.

"Pa, Papa take it easy, Richard's brother and I will be fine" Renata said, after the news seemed to make Felix look deathly pale because of growing worry.

The schedule for kidney transplant surgery has been set, which is 21:00, so they still have to wait a few more hours.

The ringing of the cell phone distracted them. They look to look at David who is none other than the owner of the phone.

David receives the call, which is none other than his papa who asks about his whereabouts with Aretha. Not long after giving understanding to the father, David immediately turned off the phone.

"Mas, can I find Richard's brother inside?" ask Aretha a little doubt.

"Come in" said David, no problem.

Aretha entered the ICU. However, he previously wore a blue outer protective cloak that had been provided by the hospital.

Richard was lying helplessly on the patient bed. Face pale. In fact, his lips had already turned pale white. Yeah, it's been one day and one night that he's been in a coma.

Several medical devices appeared to be attached to his body. The infusion needle appears to be punctured in his left hand, as a tool to insert nutrients into the patient's body. Do not miss the urine hose that is also installed neatly in the man's body.

Instantly the atmosphere of the room felt so tense, when the sound of a monitoring device was also installed there to monitor the pulse and also the patient's heart rate and breathing.

Aretha stared at the lying body. Instantly his tears fell back, seeing the man's helplessness. The man who once filled his heart before David.

With a little careless, the girl approached the body of Richard who was still faithfully closed his eyes.

"Sorry, Brother. In fact, even in a situation like this, I can't help you," he sobbed. "I'm sure you're a strong man. You can't possibly make your father and sister sad?" lirih.

With a slight hesitation, Aretha clasped Richard's hand. "Hold on! We're here waiting for you, hix," he said, increasingly unable to hold back his sobs.

Outside the room, the doctor and the others were talking. Aretha immediately approached, then listened to their conversation.

"The operation will be carried out in one hour, but there is something I need to convey to the patient's family" Hadi said.

"What is that, Doc?" ask Felix a little jump.

"There was someone who was willing to donate his kidneys, and it just so happened that his kidneys were very compatible with the patients. So, it looks like we the hospital will choose the person's kidney," explained doctor Hadi who immediately made everything go awry.

How can someone suddenly just donate their kidneys? If there is, but who is it? They seem to have the same thoughts.

"Who is he, Doc?" david asked to know.

"I'm sorry, we can't tell you who it is" Hadi's doctor replied.
