Chapters. 74. Critical Times and Crisis.

Venzo's men who took Zaydan have arrived at the hospital. The medics immediately took Zaydan to the IGD room to conduct an examination, as well as set up an operating room to remove the bullets lodged in the man's arm and abdomen.

Zavier sat in front of the IGD room worriedly. He prayed that nothing would happen to his father, and that he might survive.

Not long after, Rosa also arrived at that place and sat down beside Zavier. He looked at the son sadly, he knew that Zavier must have been devastated by what happened today.

"Son, are you not-"

"Why didn't you ever tell me?"

Rosa was speechless when she heard what Zavier said, while the man stared at her sharply.

"How could we possibly tell you about all that, son?" Rosa looked at her son with sadness. Of course they can't bear to tell Zaydan who Zavier really is.

Zavier. All so shocking to her, even her inner self rejected all the truth they spoke about her father's actions.

"I asked again. Is it true papa's a psych*opath who's killed a lot of people? And, and papa killed Uncle Zean and Aunt Hana?"

Rosa shed her tears while nodding her head. "That's right, son. It's all your dad's doing."

"So why didn't you guys tell me, huh?" Zavier looked at his mother sharply. Tears dripping from both eyes made Rosa sob. "Why am I the only one who doesn't know who my real father is, why?"

Rosa immediately hugged Zavier's body tightly making her son even more rebellious. "I'm sorry, son. Forgive me, mama."

"Why didn't Mama ever tell me?" Zavier broke his mother's embrace and then looked back. "Do you know, all this time I've always been proud of papa in front of all my friends. Even they are proud because I have a great father. But what, what's going on now? The father I've been proud of is a criminal."

Zavier was really hit hard. He lowered his head with a sob. His soul was broken, his heart was also injured. Then why did all this happen?

"We didn't tell you for fear that your life might be threatened, son. He, he will kill anyone who gets in his way" Rosa said softly and quiveringly making Zavier look at her.

"Kill out? He's gonna kill me, too, his own son?" zavier asked in disbelief.

Rosa nods her head and recounts past events, in which Zaydan will eliminate Zavier when Rosa is caught fleeing.

Zavier was stunned to hear the story of the mother. His eyes were round with his mouth open, his tongue stiffened to utter words. Even his chest felt as tight as breathing choked in his throat.

"Listen to my mom, son. Whatever your father does, it has nothing to do with you. So let him take responsibility for everything he does, and you don't have to listen to what people say."

Zavier hugged his mother's body tightly. He never thought his father was a monster. A monster that lives in an angelic mask.

Some of the doctors who examined Zaydan then came out of the IGD room and told them that the surgery would be done immediately.

Meanwhile, Venzo and Ella have just arrived at the hospital. In fact Venzo forbade Ella to come to the place, and told the woman to rest. However, Ella wants to meet Rosa as well as Zavier.

Zavier's cry broke upon seeing Ella's arrival. She hugged her brother tightly while saying an apology. He felt guilty because it was his father who had killed the two women's parents.

"Don't apologize, Zavier. It wasn't you doing it, and it wasn't appropriate for you to do it for him."

Zavier nodded, then returned silent with a puffy face and swollen eyes. He also apologized to Venzo for what he had done.

Zaydan's operation took up to 4 hours, leaving Venzo to rent a VVIP treatment room for Ella to rest. It's like being in a hotel.

"Just sleep for a second, Ella. Your body is tired."

Ella nodded her head. The two of them were lying on the bed hugging each other tightly.

Moments later, the surgery was completed and the doctor came out to see the patient's family.

"How is he doing, Doctor?" ask Rosa.

"The operation went well, madam. But the patient's condition is still critical, we will always monitor it and hopefully the patient's condition can improve."

Rosa and Zavier nodded their heads, then passed into the room that Venzo and Ella occupied. Moreover, Zaydan can not be visited by anyone.

They smiled when they saw Venzo and Ella sleeping in bed. Then they broke down the couch in the room.

News of Zaron's grandfather's arrest began to spread among the police. The police immediately investigated everything that happened while looking for evidence, in order to ensnare the old man.

Commander Yuga has also reported on the crimes Zaydan committed, and they are preparing to make arrests of all those involved in the case.

Moreover, this is a big case of human organ trafficking, as well as the murder of the eldest son of the Geraldino family, Zean along with his wife.
