CHAPTERS 17. Protection from Princess Jing Mi

***xhong Li bedroom***

Zhong Li aka King who was full of burps with a loud voice.

Hercules and Xena remained calm and did not show a look of disgust.

Very different from A Tu, the waiter who accompanied King to eat all this time showed a look of disgust as King burped.

The King grew increasingly curious as to what relationship Princess Jing Mi had with the dead Zhong Li drowned in the river.

Whereas in Zhong Li's memory there was absolutely no Princess Jing Mi. However, the actions of Princess Jing Mi who received an betrothed with Zhong Li, even though bad rumors about Zhong Li being possessed by a water ghost made King even more confused.

"That's it. I was lazy to think" said King.

For a while King put aside Princess Jing Mi's matter. There are more important things for King to do now.

"I want to buy a small knife. Do you know where to buy?" asked King with an empty eye toward the side.

"There's in the blacksmith's crafters. All kinds of swords can be bought there" replied Xena.

"Tomorrow after breakfast, you take me there" said King.

"Both young master Zhong Li," Hercules and Xena replied simultaneously.

King tried to recall where Zhong Li kept his money.

During his lifetime, Zhong Li and Zhong Min earned pocket money from Ming Lan. Of course Zhong Min's pocket money was many times more than Zhong Li's.

Zhong Li never protested and accepted it alone. Zhong Li kept it well and never used the money.

"Zhong Li's. I used your money to buy a flying knife that would be used to protect your body and my life" King said.

"My money is under the pillow. Get it!" king's Order.

"Well young master Zhong Li," Hercules replied and nimbly dashed towards the bedroom then returned to the dining table.

"You keep the money. Tomorrow take it out to buy a small knife" King said.

"Young master Zhong Li. I count the money first" answered Hercules.

Moments later Hercules informed King of Zhong Li's savings.

"Young master Zhong Li. All thirty taels of silver" said Hercules.

"Enough to buy a small knife?" ask King.

King had absolutely no idea with the prevailing currency in this strange world.

Hercules nudged Xena's arm because he did not know the price of a knife or sword on the market so this time Hercules gave Xena the opportunity to answer him.

"Enough to buy a regular knife" replied Xena.

"Take it. Can buy what, well buy it," said King.

"Both young master Zhong Li," Hercules and Xena replied simultaneously.

King was sure Ming Lan would not give him any more money even though King asked for it.

"Young master Zhong Li. Xena will prepare the train for tomorrow first" said Xena.

King had not had time to give any answer yet, King could feel a strong wind rushing past him towards the room door.

While Hercules tidied the dirty dishes on the dining table.

"Young master Zhong Li wants to be taken to bed now? Hercules wants to bring the dirty dishes to the kitchen first" Hercules said.

"alright. Without orders from me, you and Xena can't go into the bedroom" King said.

"Both young master Zhong Li," Hercules replied.

After Hercules left, King rested briefly on the bed before starting his strenuous training again.

King trained for about three hours. Then called Hercules and Xena into Zhong Li's bedroom.

"It's night. You two get some rest. You have a room ready for you?" ask King.

Hercules and Xena were the new servants, a gift from Princess Jing Mi to Zhong Li so Ming Lan inevitably had to provide a room for the two of them so as not to offend Princess Jing Mi.

"There was. But we do not sleep there" answered Hercules.

"Where are you sleeping?" ask King.

"In front of the bedroom door young master Zhong Li," Hercules replied.

"Sleep standing?" ask King.

"Yes!" answer Hercules.

"They're both professional servants" praised King.

"Yes already. I want to sleep now," Zhong Li said.

"Young master Zhong Li!" answer Hercules and Xena at the same time.

They came out of Zhong Li's bedroom quickly. The King laid his body on Zhong Li's bed.

Tonight was the first time King had been able to sleep soundly after arriving in this strange world.

***General Zhong Guo's residence***

King sat on a stretcher lifted by the four male servants of General Zhong Guo's residence, while Hercules and Xena walked to the left and right of the King.

The palanquin departed from General Zhong Guo's residence towards the place of the blacksmith's craftsmen.

King acknowledged Xena's greatness that could make Ming Lan provide a special palanquin for King .

All this time Zhong Li had only stayed inside General Zhong Guo's residence and could not go anywhere due to being blind.

Ming Lan did not prepare a stretcher for Zhong Li and only Zhong Min had the facility.

The day Zhong Li died drowning in the river, Zhong Min took him out on a stretcher belonging to Zhong Min.

The waiter who lifted Zhong Min's stretcher at that time went straight home with the stretcher to General Zhong Guo's residence on Zhong Min's orders.

Zhong Min directly pushed Zhong Li into the river after seeing Princess Xing Xing waiting there.

Princess Xing Xing immediately left with Zhong Min leaving the river. They had not expected Princess Jing Mi to happen to pass by there and rescue Zhong Li from within the river.

Actually Princess Jing Mi saw the backs of Princess Xing Xing and Zhong Min rush to leave the river so Princess Jing Mi felt suspicious and walked towards the river.

Then looking at the hand of Zhong Li who was slowly sinking into the river.Princess Jing Mi immediately jumped into the river and saved Zhong Li.

Princess Jing Mi suspects Princess Xing Xing wants to kill Zhong Li. However, Princess Jing Mi did not reveal her suspicions to Emperor Wang and took the initiative to protect Zhong Li secretly.

The battle robe was Princess Jing Mi's first step in protecting Zhong Li.

When Emperor Wang had already arranged for Zhong Li's betrothal with him, Princess Jing Mi sent her two best servants Hercules and Xena to guard and protect Zhong Li.
