CHAPTER 8. Rumors of being possessed by a water ghost

Dinner time has arrived.

A servant brought ten boiled eggs peeled and half boiled chicken to Zhong Li's room. 

"Young Master Zhong Li. It's a boiled egg and half a boiled chicken for dinner" said the waiter as he looked into Zhong Li's empty eyes. 

"Where?" zhong Li aka King asked as he pretended to grope the table in front of him. 

"Young Master Zhong Li, here are the chopsticks," said the maid as she placed a pair of chopsticks in King's right hand. 

Then held King's left hand and pointed it at a plate containing a boiled egg and half a tail of boiled chicken meat. 

"It's hard-boiled eggs and boiled chicken meat" the waiter continued. 

Zhong Li's sharp smell made the King recognize this servant who accompanied Zhong Li every day to eat. His name is A Tu.

Being blind, every time Zhong Li ate, there would be A Tu standing beside him helping him. 

During his life, Zhong Li had indeed eaten alone in his room. 

King did not mind that it made him feel calmer because there was no need to meet Ming Lan and Zhong Min. 

King planned to avoid Ming Lan and Zhong Min for a week so that he had time to strengthen Zhong Li's weakened body. 

A Tu who was standing beside Zhong felt astonished because his young master still had not touched his food at all.

"Young master Zhong Li will definitely ask for plain porridge," A Tu's heart said.

A Tu had already accompanied Zhong Li to a meal for decades so sure that Zhong Li would not be able to finish off all the food he had asked for earlier this afternoon, while Zhong Li aka King had his own reasons for not eating the food served in front of him.

King was very hungry. There was one obstacle King had to face in order to eat.

"Damn! I can't use chopsticks. How'd she eat?" king's heart was upset.

All his life King never eat Chinese food, what else use chopsticks.

King tried to move his chopsticks-wielding finger to strap the chicken, but it always failed.

A Tu who was standing beside Zhong Li was simply observing silently.

King's behavior now reflected the hallmarks of the blind so that A Tu understood his young master could not get the right food.

After trying many times and not succeeding, King placed the pair of chopsticks on the table hard.

"Stupid time!" said King's heart.

King who still remembered having to act as a blind man, using both hands directly fumbled the chicken meat. Then put a large piece of chicken into his mouth.

King ate voraciously without paying any heed to the surprised expression from A Tu's face beside him.

Even A Tu could clearly hear the tasting sound from Zhong Li's mouth.

"Why did young master Zhong Li eat greedily? Is young master Zhong Li possessed by a water ghost?" a Tu's heart.

King's appetite is excellent.

In an instant ten boiled eggs and half boiled chicken were spent by King. Maybe if the chicken is a soft bone chicken, then there will be no bones left at all.

King burped hard and long making A Tu beside him feel disgusted.

Zhong Li had always eaten quietly and for a long time. Even Zhong Li had never burped.

"Brand. I'm going to bed. Tomorrow morning bring the same food," King said, patting his stomach.

"Fine young tan Zhong Li," A Tu replied as he carried the dirty dishes out of Zhong Li's bedroom.

A Tu immediately went to Ming Lan to report a very striking change in attitude from Zhong Li.

"Mrs. Young master Zhong Li finished off all of his boiled eggs and chicken meat," A Tu reported.

"What's? That's crazy blind! What's his stomach made of?" said Zhong Min who had heard the report from the waiter.

"What else is he doing besides eating?" ask Ming Lan.

Ming Lan did not expect that the weak Zhong Li could consume so much food that Ming Lan felt suspicious.

"Young master Zhong Li ate by hand and burped loudly after finishing his meal. Very different from the young master Zhong Li who used to be," replied A Tu.

"Sound! Despite being blind, Zhong Li's eating manners have always been good" Ming Lan said spontaneously.

"That's a mistress Ever since young master Zhong Li drowned, young master Zhong Li changed like everyone else. I guess...."

A Tu stopped his words while looking towards Ming Lan with a hesitant look to continue his words.

"What?" ming Lan asked A Tu.

Ming Lan had a hunch that A Tu's guess must be something that could damage Zhong Li's good name so Ming Lan wanted to know about it.

This was a golden opportunity to cancel Zhong Li's matchmaking with Princess Xing Xing.

"I think young master Zhong Li is possessed by a water ghost. The madam should invite an exorcist," replied A Tu innocently.

"Go from here!" Ming Lan chased away that stupid and superstitious A Tu.

"Omong empty! How could there be a water ghost stuck to Zhong Li's body?" ming Lan said as she shook her head.

While Zhong Min stared intensely at the departure of A Tu who was clearly very sure Zhong Li was possessed.

"Mother! Whether or not there is a ghost of the water, we can use it to undo the blind man's match with Princess Xing Xing," Zhong Min said with a sly smile.

"Zhong Min, what's your plan?" ask Ming Lan.

"Spread word Zhong Li possessed by a water ghost. Emperor Wang must have been afraid that Princess Xing Xing had been harmed by a water ghost and called off his match," Zhong Min replied.

"Right as well," Ming Lan said with a wide smile.

From then on the news of Zhong Li being possessed by a water ghost spread rapidly in the Li Kingdom.

While the main character, Zhong Li aka King did not know the gossip outside the residence of General Zhong Guo.

In the morning King ate ten boiled eggs and half a boiled chicken. Finish eating King locked himself in the room all day.

The king forbade the servant to enter his room if he was not called.

Although the servants were curious about what Zhong Li was doing in the room, they were obedient to King's orders.

The curious waiter was surprised to hear the sound of objects falling inside Zhong Li's room.

The curious servants grew frightened by the strange noises from Zhong Li's room.

They were increasingly convinced that the water ghost in Zhong Li's body was in action in the room so the rumors of Zhong Li being possessed by the water ghost became more intense.

Though the truth that happened inside the room was an impossible thing that King was doing to Zhong Li's body.
