CHAPTER 48. Exploring the Kunlun Mountains

The inner power channeled by Princess Jing Mi through the hands of Zhong Li aka King made King not shiver anymore. When he reached the top of the Kunlun Mountains, King had stored both his iron gloves into the burlap bag on his back.

At that moment Princess Jing Mi saw clearly King's fingertips began to turn blue due to the cold so Princess Jing Mi directly approached King and channeled her inner power to King.

Moments later Princess Jing Mi immediately released her hand after seeing King's bluish fingertips gone and also the hue of King's face reddened with coldness was gone.

"Thank you!" said King sincerely.

A faint smile expanded at the corner of Princess Jing Mi's lips. Then Princess Jing Mi looked towards Xena who was behind King.

"Dam!" princess Jing Mi said.

Princess Jing Mi had already given Xena and Hercules to Zhong Li as a gift so Princess Jing Mi called Xena by calling out the new name given by Zhong Li.

"Yes, Princess Jing Mi!" said Xena.

Xena walked over to Princess Jing Mi and took out three small blue sized pills. Princess Jing Mi took one of the pills and directly swallowed it While Xena placed one pill into the King's palm.

"Young master Zhong Li! This pill can make the body resistant to the cold for seven hours," Xena said.

King nodded his head and immediately swallowed the little blue-colored pill.

"It must be Princess Jing Mi who asked Xena to prepare this pill," King's heart said.

King had not expected the peak of the Kunlun Mountains to be this cold. The body of Zhong Li who had just obtained a week of intense hard training was still unable to resist this extreme cold weather.

King had almost experienced hypothermia, a condition when body temperature drops dramatically below the normal temperature required by metabolism and body function, if only Princess Jing Mi did not channel energy in to him.

Princess Jing Mi had already repeatedly saved Zhong Li's life both directly and indirectly thus making King even more curious as to what cause Princess Jing Mi was so kind to the weak Zhong Li.

"We take a short break before exploring the top of the Kunlun Mountains," Princess Jing Mi said.

The three of them sat together on a stretch of white snow. The blue pill Xena is very effective. King's body did not feel the cold anymore but the air around him as when he was in the bedroom.

King did not reject Princess Jing Mi's proposal to rest for a while. Zhong Li's body had already been forced by him to climb the Kunlun Mountains for over an hour.

The main challenge in the Kunlun Mountains is not the risk of climbing the steep cliffs because King believes the powerful people who live in this world are ,  with the science of lightening the body and energy in can easily reach the top of the Kunlun Mountains.

The most high-risk challenge is being at the top of the Kunlun Mountains. King was sure that it was very difficult to find abundant nutritious grass and flowers in the Kunlun Mountain Peak.

The sheer number of people who had stretched their lives at the top of the Kunlun Mountains hinted that there was something dangerous here. It's possible that there's a wild animal protecting the plant there . Mungin also the air around him can suddenly spread a deadly poison so King must save energy and stamina to face all the challenges that confront him later.

King stuffed both his hands into the burlap bag and took out some mantao .

"Eat!" said King.

"Thank you young master Zhong Li!" said Xena.

Princess Jing Mi did not take the mantao that was in King's hands.

"My body can still survive without food" Princess Jing Mi replied casually.

Princess Jing Mi had gotten used to enduring the hunger of having to fight every time against another kingdom. Even Princess Jing Mi once hid with her troops for three days in the forest to spy on the enemy secretly.

At that time Princess Jing Mi did not eat for three days because the food obtained from the forest was only a little. So Princess Jing Mi gave her food rations to the more needy members of the army.

The journey from the Taoist Temple to the top of the Kunlun Mountains was just an ordinary journey compared to Princess Jing Mi's battle journey all along .

Princess Jing Mi took the leather drinking pouch tied around her waist for a drink.

"I eat alone" King said as he chewed the mantao voraciously.

Currently King is no longer acting in the style of eating court princess style. King deliberately bit the mantao with a big and greedy bite so that Princess Jing Mi felt disgusted to him and might just be able to cancel the matchmaking like Princess Xing Xing did a while ago.

"It's done!" said King while wearing a burlap pouch to the back of his back.

"Let's go!" princess Jing Mi said as she stood up . Xena helped get King to his feet. Princess Jing Mi walked in front and Xena and King followed her from behind.

Princess Jing Mi used her sword to make scratches in the snow. King could feel that the path Princess Jing Mi was going through was the path of the edge. King believes Princess Jing Mi has her own purpose in choosing this route and giving a mark of scratches on the snow.

After walking around the top edge of the Kunlun Mountains for two more hours, the three of them returned to their original place.

"I've been watching the snow during the trip. I can be sure this stretch of snow is divided into two parts, namely east and west. All kinds of grass are in the east while the flowers are in the west," Princess Jing Mi said confidently.

Although all the peaks of the Kunlun Mountains look white because they are covered in snow, but when walking around the top of the Kunlun Mountains earlier, the, Princess Jing Mi could clearly see another color in a slight amount that fused with a stretch of white snow.

Faintly seen green color that blends with white snow in the east while red color blends with white snow in the west.

As per the legend known by the people of 'Dong Wang' that there are a variety of flowers and nutritious grass at the top of the Kunlun Mountains. So Princess Jing Mi is sure that the green color that blends with the white snow in the east must be where the immortal grass is located.
