CHAPTER 51. Giant python

***In the cave where the perennial grass is located***

Princess Jing Mi was shocked by the actions of Zhong Li aka King who jumped abruptly onto the tail of the black python. The attack from the King made the black python go off guard.

The attention of the black python was distracted by King and tried to release the King's body which was tightly stuck like a lizard on his tail.

Princess Jing Mi did not miss the golden opportunity and managed to stab the black python in the stomach with her sword.

The black python felt tremendous pain. His body wriggled loudly accompanied by the sound of hissing getting louder.

The black python was furious and blamed the King for causing it to be pierced by Princess Jing Mi's sword so that it threw its tail against the rock wall to make King hurt.

The king could not possibly let his back crumble due to the impact with the rocks so immediately jumped down from the tail of the black python. King ran over to Princess Jing Mi.

"Zhong Li's! Your eye?" ask Princess Jing Mi.

"Kill the python first!" replied King quickly.

The black python stared vengefully at Princess Jing Mi and King who had already injured her body. The scent of fresh grass that first smelled when the two of them arrived here was no longer there but instead turned into a foul fishy smell due to the blood still flowing in the stomach and tail of the black python.

"I'll jump on his back. You stabbed him in the neck!" king said to Princess Jing Mi.

Without waiting for a response from Princess Jing Mi, King ran towards the black python and jumped up and down to the rocks in the corner of the room to look for a higher place so that it was easier for him to jump on the back of the black python.

Meanwhile Princess Jing Mi pretended to want to strike again the belly of the black python to distract. The black python was lured with the movements of Princess Jing Mi so that it paid no heed to King.

"It's time!" said King's heart.

King leaped onto the back of the black python without hesitation. His left hand tightly hugged the body of the black python while his right hand pulled out a small knife from his waist and stabbed the back of the black python hard.

The body of the black python twisted on the ground in pain. His head tried to turn towards the King who was above his back.

Princess Jing Mi directly unsheathed her sword into the neck of the black python. In the blink of an eye the black python took its life.

Princess Jing Mi pulled out her sword from the neck of the black python and walked towards the immortal grass. With a single slash of the sword, the immortal grass was in Princess Jing Mi's hand.

Meanwhile King jumped down from the back of the black python. The blue tao clothes worn by King, were filled with splashes of blood. King wiped his face with his sleeves as blood from the back of the black python spurted onto his face.

King smiled smugly at the body of the black python lying lifeless before him. This giant black python must have lived for a long time and could be sold at a high price if it was in the King realm.

King looked at the sword wound on the stomach of the black python from Princess Jing Mi's sword earlier.

"Reprecreary!" said King.

King used his small knife and made an even bigger hole in the belly of the black python, from the wound inflicted by Princess Jing Mi's sword earlier.

King managed to expel the bile of the black python snake. In his world, python bile is very valuable and has properties to cure many diseases. King would hand it over to Xena to make a medicinal herb.

King removed the burlap pouch from his back and took out a small pouch to wrap the black python's bile.

Princess Jing Mi stood before King. King thought Princess Jing Mi would ask about her lying pretending to be blind. As a manly man, King took the honest initiative to Princess Jing Mi.

"Daughter of Jing Mi! I'm..."

King's words came to a halt as Princess Jing Mi thrust the immortal grass before him.

"Eat!" princess Jing Mi said firmly.

"Forku?" asked King in disbelief.

King thought his lie would make Princess Jing Mi cancel the intention to give the immortal grass to him.

"The efficacy will be better if directly in the meal after being picked," said Princess Jing Mi.

King wiped his bloodied hands onto his clothes, then received the immortal grass from Princess Jing Mi's hands.

King stuffed the perennial grass into his mouth and chewed it. The perennial grass has a strange taste, a combination of salty, sweet, bitter, and blood-smelling flavors.

A few seconds after swallowing the immortal grass, King felt his entire body burning and a tremendous pain in his bones. King's face turned pale instantly.

"The grass is poisonous!" shouted King. King lay on the floor and curled up in pain while holding his stomach.

Princess Jing Mi walked up to the King and channeled her inner energy through her two palms onto the King's shoulders. King felt a flow of cold air flowing all over his body and dampened the burning sensation that was there so that King felt better.

"Eternal grass can make the body strong. But your body foundation is weak and there is no inner energy at all. The perennial grass will change your body structure slowly so that the process is very painful. If you can hold on, you'll be strong." 

Princess Jing Mi explained the side effects of the immortal grass that King had just swallowed.

"It's true that nothing is free in this world" King said.

"What should I do now?" ask King.

"You should meditate until the effect is complete. Follow my way now, " replied Princess Jing Mi.

Princess Jing Mi sat cross-legged beside King and practiced how to meditate. King followed Princess Jing Mi's way while enduring the pain all over her body and shutting her eyes tight. Princess Jing Mi helped justify King's hand position.

A little while later King had already managed to practice the correct way of meditation. Princess Jing Mi stood up and moved away. Princess Jing Mi sat behind King's body while cross-legged.

Every now and then Princess Jing Mi helped channel her inner energy into King's back when she saw that King was unable to endure the pain in his body.

Princess Jing Mi could only help ease King's pain. It was King himself who had to concentrate fully to deal with the pain and changes within his body.

"Damn! White python snake!" suddenly shouted King.

Zhong Li's keen sense of smell smelled like a stench spread by a black python so the meditating King opened his eyes and saw clearly one white python the one was a little smaller than the black python that had been killed by him and Princess Jing Mi.

The eyes of the reddened white python looked towards King, precisely the blue tao attire attached to King's body. The clothes were full of dried black python blood, while the black python's body lay not far from where King was sitting.

"Damn! Must have been the black python's partner!" said King.

In his world King once read an article that snakes are vindictive animals. If the partner is killed, the other snake will take revenge against the person who killed his partner. King did not believe the myth was true, but now himself saw clearly the white python staring at him with eyes full of hatred. King believes he has become the target of a white python.

Burning and bone pain all over King's body was felt so much that King was sure he could not escape from this place because of the unstable condition of his body.

The white python deliberately blocked the exit path of the cave which was the entrance path of King and Princess Jing Mi earlier. King's sharp sense of hearing could hear the long hissing sound from the white python's mouth. Simultaneously, hundreds of small venomous snakes emerged from all over the country . The small snakes surrounded Princess Jing Mi and King.

"Daughter of Jing Mi! Go then! Leave me here!" said King.

King did not want himself to be a burden on Princess Jing Mi.

"Shut up!" princess Jing Mi said firmly.
