CHAPTER 72. Taoist Priest

**THE FRONT ROOM OF GENERAL ZHONG GUO'S RESIDENCE***

Zhong Li aka King did not expect the two Taoist priests invited by Ming Lan to be Taoist priests from the Taoist Temple that was under the foothills of the Kunlun Mountains.

A Tai and A Shang were senior Taoist priests there. King tried to sharpen his sense of smell and did not find the body scent of A Lao and A Jun.

"A Tai and A Shang must have been bribed by Ming Lan!" said King's heart.

King is aware that in any world, both the original world and the world of Zhong Li, bribery can be done by anyone because money is very important to maintain life in a hard world.

King did not blame A Tai and A Shang who were lulled by the promise of high wages from Ming Lan . Everyone has the right to choose his own life path and must be ready to be responsible for all the risks posed by the path he chooses.

Time passed quickly, even the burning incense had already burned half a stick. Ming Lan felt astonished and a little panicked as she saw Zhong Li still sitting quietly and blank eyes. Zhong Li was completely unaffected by the incense smoke and reacted as Ming Lan had expected.

"Have you finished?" asked King in a calm tone.

"Young master Zhong Li! Her double is already burnt to half a stick.Hercules will escort young master Zhong Li back to the room now!" Hercules.

Hercules approached King after receiving an eye gesture from Xena.

"Wait a minute! The water ghost spirit has not been expelled!" ming Lan shouted in panic.

Ming Lan rushed over to the King who was about to stand up from his seat with the help of Hercules. Zhong Min came forward and prevented the King from leaving the vestibule.

"That's what Madame Ming Lan said! The double hasn't burned yet and the water ghost spirit hasn't come out yet. Young master Zhong Li must not leave!" said A Tai.

A Shang immediately turned on one more stick of incense and stuck it in the incense stand. The two incense sticks were given by Ming Lan to A Tai and A Shang. The two of them were only in charge of lighting the incense sticks and letting the incense smoke blow towards Zhong Li. Then the two of them witnessed Zhong Li acting like a madman and announced to everyone that the water ghost inside Zhong Li's body was extremely powerful and dangerous.

"Show time!" king's heart said as he saw Ming Lan and Zhong Min approaching towards him.

King grasped the two small poison grains made by Xena and with the typical hand movements of the blind man that fumbled indistinctly, King managed to touch the hands of Ming Lan and Zhong Min. The two tiny poison grains instantly absorbed into the bodies of Ming Lan and Zhong Min through the skin surface of their hands.

"Good, Mother! I will wait for the dupe smoke to run out," King replied obediently and sat back down to the chair that was reserved specifically for him by Ming Lan.

A Tai and A Shang pretended to recite the incantation while pointing at the King.

The servants of General Zhong Guo's residence had already gathered around the front hall . They wanted to see clearly how the water ghost spirit in Zhong Li's body was expelled by the two Taoist priests who looked very experienced in exorcising ghosts.

Meanwhile Ming Lan and Zhong Min heaved a sigh of relief after hearing King's words.  Ming Lan was certain that Zhong Li would definitely go insane after inhaling all the smoke from the two incense sticks.

The new clothes that Ming Lan gave every day to King , were still inside King's wardrobe so Ming Lan did not suspect King was already aware of his rotten plan.

"Araa!!!" Ming Lan and Zhong Min shouted simultaneously. Rude and indistinct swear words came out from the mouths of Ming Lan and Zhong Min. Ming Lan screamed with a loud shrill voice while Zhong Min cried hysterically. The different attitudes of Ming Lan and Zhong Min made the servants of General Zhong Guo's residence feel that something was wrong and rewind their bodies backwards away from Ming Lan and Zhong Min.

Hercules and Xena immediately saw King standing from his seat and led him away from the altar.

The sound of the spell recited by A Tai and A Shang was like the buzz of flies in the ears of Ming Lan and Zhong Min so they both ran towards A Tai and A Shang. Ming Lan bit A Tai's hand while Zhong Min knelt while biting A Shang's leg.

"sickness ! Help me!"  A Tai and A Shang cried out in pain and asked for help but the servants of General Zhong Guo's residence did not dare to approach towards Ming Lan and Zhong Min.

On one hand they did not dare to injure Ming Lan and Zhong Ming who were the mistress and young master . While on the other hand, they were unwilling to suffer the same fate as A Tai and A Shang.

"What's wrong? Why did I hear a strange sound from the mouths of mother and Zhong Min? " King pretended to ask Hercules.

"Mrs Ming Lan and young master Zhong Min went crazy. They bit A Tai and A Shang, "Hercules replied spontaneously.

While living in the Taoist Temple, Hercules befriended A Tai and A Shang because the vegetarian cuisine of Hercules was delicious and was favored by A Tai and A Shang.

Hercules had not expected his two new friends to be Ming Lan's errand boyfriends in such a short time.

"Young master Zhong Li! What do we do now?" ask A Tu.

A Tu represented the servants of General Zhong Guo's residence to ask King because now only King could make up his mind .

"I don't know either!" king replied while displaying a confused face.

"Let them both bite A Tai and A Shang to their satisfaction" King said.

In accordance with the principles run by King all this time, A Tai and A Shang had to accept the consequences of the path chosen by themselves

"A Chen?" said King's heart.

King recalled the voice of A Chen, the chief warrior who investigated the incident of the horseman's head being decapitated some time ago.

A Chen was shocked to see Ming Lan and Zhong Min going mad so ordered his subordinate soldiers to separate Ming Lan and Zhong Min from A Tai and A Shang screaming in pain.

Finally with great difficulty, his subordinate soldiers were able to separate Ming Lan and Zhong Min from A Tai and A Shang. A Tai and A Shang were sitting limp on the floor holding onto the bitten parts of their bodies.

"Call the healer to check on the state of Madame Ming Lan and lord Zhong Min," A Chen's orders to his subordinate soldiers .

"Sorry young master Zhong Li! Me and my soldiers broke into General Zhong Guo's residence suddenly today," A Chen said.

"It's okay! I'm sure there must be something important. Besides, I'm so grateful to your arrival for helping to take care of the chaotic situation that my mother and sister were not hurt" King said, looking the other way with blank eyes.

A Chen looked pityfully at King , who still cared about his stepmother and step-sister. Though the arrival of A Chen this time because he knew that there were evil intentions towards the King and A Chen suspected Ming Lan and Zhong Min were evil intentions towards the King.

"Actually I got reports that the two senior Taoist priests took bribes from someone to harm young master Zhong Li so I rushed here," A Chen said truthfully.

"Who reported it?" ask King.

This time King could not guess at all who was kind enough to report to the soldiers of Dong Wang Kingdom.

"Could it be Princess Jing Mi?" said King's heart.

"Sister Zhong Li!" There was the sound of a loud child running towards King.

"A Jun!" said King with a small smile.

A Bai ran over to King and rubbed his body at King's feet.

"A Bai! You miss me?" said King's heart.

A Bai howled shortly foreshadowing the 'yes' answer to King's question.

"Sister Zhong Li! I accidentally heard the talk of Brother A Tai and Brother A Shang about going to General Zhong Guo's residence to make Brother Zhong Li go crazy," A Jun said innocently.

"Diamond*n! It turned out that you were the one who told the royal warrior Dong Wang!" yelled A Tai while pointing at A Jun.

A Jun reflexively hid behind King's body. While A Bai was on standby and showed his sharp teeth towards A Tai.

"Take them both to jail!" A Chen's orders to his subordinate soldiers.

"Don't be afraid, A Jun! The two of them will be languishing in prison for a long time," A Chen said as he gently stroked A Jun's head.

"Jail? Who will guard the Taoist Temple? Where should I stay? Brother Lao had already left the Taoist temple a few days ago," A Jun said in an anxious tone.

"You can come with me!" said A Chen with confidence .

"really?" ask A Jun with sparkling eyes.

A young Jun was dumped by his biological parents in front of the Taoist Temple so A Tai picked him up and made him a little Taoist priest.

"Yes! I can train you to become a soldier of Dong Wang Kingdom! But you can't bring A Bai," A Chen said.

A Jun understood A Chen's words. After all A Bai was a wild wolf so it was impossible to follow the soldiers of Dong Wang Kingdom roaming the streets.

"I can give A Bai to Brother Zhong Li!" a Jun said as he watched A Bai cling to King's feet calmly.
