"Why... See me like that?" Dimas asked after we looked at each other in silence. Did Dimas hear everything? The man began to approach with a tray filled with food. "Your daughter must be hungry. Make sure she's finished her meal before she goes to bed." Dimas gave me that food.

I accepted it with a sigh. I saw Susan looking forward to seeing what was in my hand. Yeah, my son must be holding back hunger.

"Thank you...." I said a condolence, Mr. Dimas did not respond again. I momentarily put aside this bad taste and began to feed Susan.

"Om... don't eat?" susan asked as she chewed the food. Susan was no longer afraid of Dimas.

"No, you eat first. Om later ... eat with your mama." When she spoke with a smile, she stroked Susan's hair and looked at me. "After this you should eat too. I'm sorry, I forgot to bring you some food" he said, leaving without saying anything.

"Om it... temen mom?"

"Ehm, not really. Om that's mom's boss." I deliberately whispered out of fear that Dimas would hear our conversation like that.

"Omm, I think it's good. Susan is a miss with dad. Why, the hell, ma'am our dad could let us go?"

Susan's face was back. My tears fell to see it, but soon I removed it.

"Susan, let's not talk about dad now, yeah. I don't want Susan to be thinking and sick. You better eat now and go to sleep. Tomorrow morning we go to Bude's house."

I tried to persuade Susan. Luckily Susan complied and began to eat her food voraciously.

I know right now Susan's thoughts and feelings are as restless as I feel. Usually, sleep is chosen so that you can momentarily forget about the problem. Now, Susan was asleep with regular breathing. I kissed Susan on the forehead before I put the dirty dishes back in the kitchen.

The house looked quiet as if it was uninhabited. I didn't even see Dimas or anyone. I walked into the kitchen and saw Dimas there.

"Rima, finally came too. Come here for dinner with me," asked Dimas who was sitting on the chair facing the food.

"But a---

"There's no buts. I won't let my guest sleep with hunger in mind" Dimas said.

I finally did as well. Sitting face to face with the man I just met and the boss at my place of work.

"Thank you again for preparing this place and food for us. I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't met you on the street."

"Why are you still sad? You just call me a name."

"But it's not polite."

"It's okay, I told you to."

I'm getting bad. I chose to focus on eating rather than talking impolitely because it was impossible to call him Dimas.

"So, can I ask you something?" Dimas asked after we had eaten long enough in silence. The man stopped eating and looked at me.

"What?" I asked after drinking a glass of water. Why do I feel like I'm at the court table.

Dimas' question made me look at him in wonder. "Why does it seem like you want to know so much?"

"Because you and your daughter are currently in my house and that means for a while it's my responsibility."

I sighed, considering the problem I was having made this chest tight as if it was being crushed by a stone. But that doesn't mean I'm free to tell others. In any case I have to cover up the disgrace of my family, especially my own husband.

"So it's true that you fought with your husband?"

Dimas's question disperse the daydream that had crossed. "Mother must have heard it, right? So, why ask again?"

"Just want to make sure. What kind of crazy guy would be so willing to play crazy behind a woman like you?"

"Forget it, sir. Please don't discuss my household matters because I have no obligation to answer all of my father's questions." I became upset again.

"I don't mean to make you angry or interfere in your business. I just don't think about your husband who's been wasting women like you. Who would have thought that your sincerity, loyalty and sacrifice were being met with lies!" Dimas seemed unwilling to end this conversation before being content to hear everything from me.

"Any mistake he's made must be fatal until you choose to take your daughter away. And he's not trying to stop or find you both." Dimas shook his head while talking. "Are you finally going back to that house?"

I shook my head confidently and stared at the intense Dimas. "I will not return to a place where I am not valued and considered to exist. I'd rather live in the woods than be under the same roof as them."

My lips shake when I say. I tried my hardest not to cry in front of Dimas.

Dimas exhaled deeply and then spoke again. "I can't ask and say too far. But, I want to say that you and your daughter are happy. If you can fix this relationship, then. But, if it's about the third person then it's best to end it. I can talk like this because I've been through something similar."

I frowned looking at Dimas. Does that mean the guy has the same fate as me? Did his partner betray him too?

"Yes, it's better to be alone than to be together but not happy. Relationships cannot be intertwined properly if they are filled with lies and betrayal" Dimas said.

"Hem, that's why I chose to go. I want to start my life on my own feet without depending on them. I've been cheated all this time."

"That's a good principle. But, if you'd like I'd like to provide office facilities for you. Starting tomorrow, you can occupy the house that the company has provided."

"But I was planning to take Susan to my sister's house. I'll also move the school."

"Pass!" Dimas kicked the table with passion. "Schools and offices don't go out of there, so anytime you can monitor your daughter. I'll have a babysister to take care of it while you work. So, you don't have to worry about anything anymore."

I'm getting flabbergasted to see the other side of Dimas. I know that in the office Dimas never talked much even seemed indifferent. But, it turns out that the man is very sensitive and has a high concern.

"Hows it? Or do you want to live in this house?" I asked Dimas I knew he was just kidding.

"Well, I thank you and thank you for being a good listener. I know I shouldn't have talked about my family's disgrace with you."

"No problem. You really need the right people to grieve. So, what's your next move, Rima?" dimas asked, the man's eyes sharpened once.

"I will repay their actions. The best revenge is to make yourself better than the traitors. And I will prove to them that I am reliable and can live better than them. Until the time comes they will regret and will apologize to me!"
