CHAPTER 27: FALLING IN LOVE

Counting three more days until finally the day of affection came. Arunika and other OSIS administrators also became increasingly busy to complete the entire work, ranging from packing hampers to decorating small halls for live music events. Those who usually go home at four in the afternoon, go home at five or six in the afternoon. This has all happened since nine days ago.

In contrast to the busy Arunika, Gavin is filled with frustration and confusion about the awkward feelings he has felt for days. Indeed, he had found a piece that suits some of the feelings of his heart, but until now he again experienced stuck and did not know how else.

"Run, if I play two pieces on the show later, okay?" gavin asked Arunika who was sitting on the floor to watch her members who were putting the title of the event on the wall. He asked that just in case if in the end he wanted to play two pieces, after getting another desired piece.

Arunika turned her head briefly to Gavin who was sitting next to her to help the OSIS work by cutting small decorations around the title of the show, "of course it is possible, the show will be more lively," answer's relaxed.

Some may wonder how Gavin can help the OSIS work. This is the impact of the relationship between the two who are getting closer and closer. Since the OSIS started overtime, Gavin almost every day accompanied Arunika. At first, just silence, do nothing, but slowly Gavin offers help to other administrators when they feel they need help. The other managers were pleased with Gavin's presence and left him there, which is why Gavin was finally able to sit down with the other managers and start a friendship.

The proximity of Arunika and Gavin also gradually raised suspicion in the managers. Many feel that their closeness does not look like a friend anymore and looks more like a couple. But both are always evasive when asked about it. Because almost every day saw the interaction of adam and air, the administrators began to realize Gavin's interest in Arunika. It can all be seen in both eyes or small actions that the man did. For example, Gavin's gaze always softened when he looked at Arunika, Gavin who always laughed at all Arunika's words, Gavin who does not allow Arunika to do heavy work—like lifting goods— and Gavin who always remind Arunika to drink.

Realizing all the attentive actions, no one disagreed that Gavin had feelings for Arunika. Even so, no one wanted to tell Gavin because it was not their realm to interfere. After all, it's also good to see the sweet content every day of that lovebirds. Sometimes they accidentally see Gavin who involuntarily embraces Arunika's shoulders or hips, or when Arunika again focuses on the task, Gavin will feed Arunika with the excuse of not wanting Arunika down again. And strangely again, Arunika had gotten used to all these actions and let it go. Initially, the other OSIS manager was a bit surprised—ada was also the baper—but now he is used to it so often.

"Okay, let's take a break, yeah, fifteen minutes. After that come back here again to continue the decoration," said Arunika with a loud voice so that it can be heard throughout the hall room. The sentence was also sung by everyone and slowly they scattered out of the room, either to buy food or just looking for fresh air.

Gavin took out the light snacks that he bought during the school break, then gave them to Arunika. Now the two were sitting on the edge of the stage with their legs left dangling down. Arunika accepted the gift and ate it with pleasure.

"Happy, it feels like a manager" Arunika commented with a laugh. Of course Arunika talks about Gavin who always provides food for her, Arunika becomes a sense of serving. Gavin could only snort at hearing that.

"Why have you been with me lately? Your family's not mad you came home late?" asked Arunika while chewing her food.

Gavin exhaled and lowered his head to the floor, swinging his legs, "because every day I go into the studio and stay there thinking about which piece to choose." Arunika scrunched her forehead.

"You got a problem?" Arunika has not known the inner problems that Gavin experienced lately. The man also had no intention to tell a story because seeing Arunika who was very busy, he did not want to disturb the woman with her problem. But finally Gavin chose to tell a story, he just wanted to complain.

Gavin also told clearly and in detail about the problems he experienced. Starting from his dizzy self because he did not find a piece in accordance with his wishes to the frustration due to lingering feelings that still exist despite having found a piece that matches his feelings of regret to the mother. Arunika listened carefully from beginning to end, although several times the story had to stop because Arunika was feeding food to Gavin. Telling stories also takes energy, right?

Arunika patted Gavin's hand vigorously, making Gavin raise one eyebrow. Arunika raised her index finger and pointed it at the grand piano. At first Gavin thought it was for him, but after being observed, it was not fixed on him, but on something else behind him that Gavin turned his head and finally understood where Arunika was pointing.

"Can you play a song? Whatever the song is, I just want to see you play," Arunika pinta with a pleading gaze, while Gavin frowned confusedly. He did not understand why Arunika suddenly asked him to play, but because the woman asked, Gavin also felt there was no harm in complying with the request so he stood up from his seat— followed by Arunika— and walked up to the big jet black object.

Gavin sat himself down and moved to secure his seat, then he placed his ten fingers on the dozens of keys. Actually he did not know what to play so he fell silent with a straight look at Arunika who was standing next to the piano with her sparkling face. About five seconds both of them were in that position until it finally crossed several tones in Gavin's head.

There is doubt in Gavin after realizing the original piece of the tone. The piece is notoriously quite difficult to play because it must involve quite complex feelings. In short, this piece tells how a man likes a woman but never realizes it until finally they are comfortable in friendship status. When he realized, it was too late. But the message of this piece is not about the regret of the man, but rather to the man who was relieved because he was too late to realize his feelings. The man never felt worthy of the woman so he never once thought he could be with her. Even so, the man will always feel in love with him and determined to maintain that feeling for a long time.

After considering, Gavin finally decided to give it a try. His fingers pressed the keys there and began to sound beautiful strains from the piano, even his voice was able to fill the silence in the room. Arunika turned her head to the right and left, enjoying the soft and smooth melody that came out from there. He can also catch feelings that are difficult to explain by him. Falling in love mixed with relief? Arunika becomes wondering in her heart, is falling in love can indeed make us that relief?

Gavin's worries slowly faded and instead felt comfortable playing it, inexplicably Gavin felt able to understand the man's feelings. Though all this time Gavin did not like the piece because it was always constrained in understanding the man's feelings. But now he can play it well.

Adam and Eve finally enjoyed the music game until the end. They did not realize that there were not only the two of them there, the entire board had returned to the hall and witnessed Gavin's brief appearance. The room that was originally filled with music was now filled with applause and praise-filled sentences.

However, the man who was patted instead looked at the piano in front of him and realized, from the beginning playing the piece, there was no awkward or dissatisfied feeling in him. He turned his head to look at Arunika who had just told her members to continue the work. He gave me a look that seemed to say, I found it. Arunika caught the message and smiled gently.

"There are times when we have to let feelings take over and say their wishes. Not always the problem is solved with logic because in you there is not only a brain, but also a heart" said Arunika with a soft voice, then pat the piano softly and walk away leaving Gavin still silent.

Moments later, Gavin departs from him and walks after Arunika who is talking briefly with Della, the chairman of the six-sekbid OSIS. Before Della walked away, she spoke in a ignorant tone.

"Gavin's in love again, huh? The impression of falling in love was very strong in the game earlier."
