RUN WITH ME
CHAPTER 5: WOUNDED

"Well, we agree that this year's Valentine's Day theme is Extraordinary Love with two activities, namely Show Your Love and Unspoken Words." When almost all the students had returned to their homes, not the 38. As the day of affection is just over a month away, OSIS has to start preparing and today is the first day they discuss it. With Arunika as its leader, the meeting went quite smoothly.

"For details of these two activities we will talk about in the next meeting, so you can go home, the day is getting night," said Arunika with a gentle smile that made all members nod. Everyone began to clean up their belongings and left the OSIS room. Unlike the other members who seemed to want to go home, Arunika instead sat herself down while exhaling slowly.

Hera who saw that patted him on the shoulder, "didn't go home?"

"Rest for a while," Arunika replied with her eyes closed which made Hera smile and returned to packing her things.

"Run, Her, would you like to hang out for a bit at the cafeteria before you go home?" From behind the door came Fernando , the vice chairman of OSIS, with passion.

"Come on! We haven't been together for a long time" said Laura, treasurer of one OSIS, with a calm face. He stood next to Fernando with one hand on his shoulder.

Arunika and Hera looked at each other. It's true what Laura said, the last time they got together was when they were all first class. Arunika still serves as the vice chairman of OSIS with Fernando, Hera became secretary two, and Laura became treasurer of two OSIS. You could say they were comrades in arms from first class.

A few seconds later, the two girls nodded which made Fernando and Laura even more excited. Quickly the hands of Arunika and Hera were drawn by Fernando, while Laura just followed from behind. Arriving at the cafeteria, the four men visited a food store that sold drinks and snacks.

"Sore, ma'am, I ordered two ice lattes, one orange ice, and one avocado juice. Then for the snacks, popcorn chicken and onion ring, each one portion," Fernando said in a polite voice, while the other three people had sat at one of the tables near the store.

After paying, Fernando returned with a tray containing drinks ordered earlier. He put it down slowly and gave each of the drinks to his order. Avocado juice for Arunika, orange ice for Hera, and ice latte for herself and Laura.

"Popcorn chicken onion ring is still made." The three women understood.

"Run, what's the new kid?" asked Fernando while sipping his drink.

The asked Arunika raised one eyebrow, "how is what?"

"Your impression to him, because you look around, you are the most relaxed when meeting him and the new child is also so," explained Fernando who made Arunika silent for a while.

After swallowing her juice, Arunika replied, "impression, yes ... At first I thought she would have an arrogant and unapproachable nature, but apparently not really, she was just quiet and shy." That thoughtful sentence made the three people there nod in understanding.

"It seems that many consider him the same as Arunika. Because he had a fairly firm jaw and slightly lowered eyebrows, his expressionless face became indifferent and cold. I often hear that students don't dare to go up to him because it looks cold." Hearing the words of Laura, Arunika became imagining the face of Gavin who was confused to say something in Indonesian or when translating his speech in the medical room three days ago. The shadow also made him chuckle.

"What are you laughing at?" hera asked when she heard the little bitterness. Arunika answered him with a slit. As Arunika answered Hera's question, both of their ordered snacks finally came. Without waiting any longer, they started eating it while talking about things, unaware of Maverick running at them in a panic.

"Aaron!" Not only Arunika, the other three people turned to the source of the voice. Seeing Maverick's panicked face, Arunika's forehead frowned.

"What's wrong?" tanya Fernando represents Arunika. With a breath of breath, Maverick placed both his hands on the table where all four of his peers were sitting.

"Please .. please treat Gavin," Maverick asked with a pleading gaze.

"Gavin why?" reply Arunika with a serious look at her interlocutor. When he heard Maverick's words earlier, his feelings immediately became unpleasant.

"We've just finished extracurricular and when we want to go home, Archie asks him to do one-on-one sparing. Then the jerk sneakily nudged Gavin until finally there were some wounds on his legs and hands. His legs also seemed to be sprained." Arunika immediately stood up from her seat, as well as Fernando, Hera, and Laura.

Maverick also understood that Arunika wanted to go to TKP so that he immediately became his guide. With a step parallel to Maverick, Arunika asked with her flat face, "where are your extracurricular teachers?"

"Why not go directly to the UKS?"

"You don't realize what time it is?" ask back Maverick who made Arunika realize that the clock has pointed to the number five, of course they have gone home. Even teachers have mostly gone home.

Arriving at the five men on the indoor court, Arunika ran towards Gavin who was sitting on the sidelines with Floyd who accompanied him, while Archie was surprised to see the arrival of the OSIS chairman and lowered his head.

"Fer, please get me the P3K box in there." Arunika pointed towards the teacher's study room in the corner of the field. Arunika knows because the gym in their school has the box, just in case something unexpected happens. Fernando did what he was asked to do quickly.

Arunika knelt with both feet when she reached Gavin's side, while the wounded only looked at the woman with an illegible look. Before long Fernando came with a P3K box in his hand, then placed it next to Arunika.

"Which part of it hurts?" asked Arunika while gently holding Gavin's arms and body.

"Hands and feet, but the worst is my left ankle." Arunika looked at Gavin's slightly bluish ankle, he pressed it small and Gavin groaned in pain. Arunika's head lifted and her gaze circulated throughout the room.

"Does anyone bring cold drinks?" asked Arunika while looking at all the people there.

One of the members of Archie's gang raised his hand and pointed at the collection of bottles in a plastic bag, "the item was bought a few minutes ago." Arunika nodded and replied, "please bring it here, also lend me one of your little towels." The man obeyed Arunika and returned with a plastic bag containing several bottles of cold drinks and a small towel that did not belong to anyone.

Arunika coated the cold bottle with a small towel and placed it over Gavin's sprained ankle. He asks Hera for help to hold him and turns to some small wounds on Gavin's hands and knees.

Starting from Gavin's right knee, which had a fairly wide blister, he took latex gloves from inside the P3K box because he could not wash his hands, then clean the wound from dirt using a sterile salt solution or known as saline liquid. After that, Arunika uses alcohol-free cleaning wipes in the area around the wound and smears betadine so that there is no infection. The last step, Arunika covered the wound with a bandage to protect it from dirt. The same way he did on Gavin's right elbow wound.

Everyone there only noticed Arunika's extremely fast and tidy handwork, indicating that she was used to it. Likewise with Gavin who since the start of treatment did not say anything, his eyes continued to be fixed on Arunika's serious face while treating her.

After making sure all the wounds had been treated, Arunika smiled with satisfaction while removing her gloves, "this is the point of keeping P3K boxes in every place."

"Thank you," said Gavin as he looked gently at Arunika.

Arunika snorted playfully while gently nudging Gavin's right hand, "in three days you get my treatment twice, as you like with my treatment?" Gavin snorted in disbelief, but said nothing.

Arunika cleaned the P3K box and stood up again, "please put Gavin to bed in the long chair there, then lift his sprained leg with a height above the chest. Keep compressing his legs for about ten minutes." Maverick and Floyd helped Gavin to stand up and put him to sleep in the long chair on the side of the field. Then Maverick lifted Gavin's left leg and placed it on his shoulder, while Floyd stood beside Maverick holding the compress at his friend's feet.

Arunika observed the entire movement of the three men, making sure nothing was wrong. Afterwards, the two neutrals stared one by one at Archie's gang, but his vision sharpened when he reached Archie's figure. Archie was so distressed by the look that he turned his eyes away.

"Well, now we seem to need to figure out how these wounds can form." The stressful sentence in each word makes everyone—except; Fernando, Hera, Laura, Gavin, Maverick, and Floyd—get in all directions, the important thing is not to point to Arunika.

Arunika folded his hands in front of his chest and smiled understandably, "i understand that men sometimes have a high competitive nature and sometimes need to be channeled through sports, he said, but that doesn't mean it's an excuse to hurt someone else." Despite not saying a single name in her sentence, Arunika's gaze was fixed on Archie sharply.

"You're accusing me?"
