RUN WITH ME
CHAPTER 2: ARUNIKA BUMANTARA

"Muzzurray?" Arunika nodded her head, while the man next to her was still processing that one word, feeling familiar. Before long his eyes widened and stared in disbelief at the woman who had been watching him.

"The Doctors Family?" gavin asked in shock. How not? The Bumantara family is known for their genius in the field of world health. Dubbed The Doctors Family, the family has always produced great doctors of every generation and their expertise is beyond doubt.

"That's what they call us," Arunika replied casually as she stood up from her seat and walked to the desk in the room. He took a large book and opened it, and wrote a few words there. Then Arunika again approached Gavin and thrust the book.

"Sign here." Gavin already knew what the book was so he immediately signed the guest book with his left hand, while his right hand still held the ice bag in his head. After making sure Gavin's signature was in the book, Arunika closed it and put it back on the table. Then sit back in his original place.

"Left-handed?"

"Both, actually."

"Wow!" Arunika's eyes immediately sparkled enthusiastically, this was the first time he saw someone could use both hands well. Gavin just kept quiet, it was common to see people react like that.

"Hey." The call stopped Arunika's admiration and countered her by raising both eyebrows.

"You can use Indonesian .. when you talk to me. I ... want to quickly master it." Although his fluffy accent still feels a little lumpy and his pronunciation sounds a little stiff, Arunika understands what he says, so she also reproduce it.

"How long have you been studying?" Arunika deliberately said it in a slow tempo, helping Gavin to understand his question.

Silence, maybe Gavin is still trying to translate the sentence. Arunika thought Gavin's expression was quite funny, so she just kept quiet and waited.

"I think it's two months" Gavin replied after a moment of silence. Arunika nodded back.

"Then, I'll help you until you can understand my rap in Indonesian." Arunika laughed after saying it and strangely, the laughter was able to attract a smile on Gavin's lips. And in the ensuing seconds, the health room was filled with chatter full of familiarity between Gavin and Arunika. In his heart, Gavin felt a little grateful because in a day he had met two people who were very friendly, of course he considered it a good start. Also, hope his life in this new country can cure the pain he received in his two former residences.

"Will you be able to walk around the school?" A man with an exotic skin color standing in front of Gavin, Gavin knew who this man in front of him was.

"Chairman class?" The man nodded and extended his hand, "Floyd Cyrill."

Gavin received his speech, "Gavin Kanagara."

"Come on," asked Floyd with a thumbs-up that he pointed out of the classroom. Gavin nodded and followed where Floyd was taking him. Because it was now a time of rest, so the condition of the hall became very crowded and the students' gazes were fixed on Gavin. Many whispered praise to him to say it, but he did not care and only focused on Floyd who was explaining the various rooms passed. Actually he already knew some of the room while walking around briefly with the principal this morning, but he felt it was fine to listen back to him.

When they are done, they take a leisurely walk in the garden and enjoy every plant that is well cared for by the school.

"Is there anything you want to ask?" asked Floyd with a fixed look at Gavin. Since then, Floyd was aware that there were things Gavin wanted to ask, so he slightly lured him to make the new students in his class brave.

"You know Arunika Bumantara?" Floyd paused for a moment and nodded, seemingly knowing what the question meant.

"Can you tell me who she is?" Pinta Gavin with a deep voice at the end.

Floyd chuckled and patted him on the shoulder, "of course, but why did you suddenly ask him?"

Gavin initially hesitates to say the answer, but seeing Floyd, who is already very curious, he ends up being brave, "because he is like a person who knows everything. Before I introduced myself, he already knew my name and before I knew where my class was, he already knew where my class was. So, I feel a little bit scarred."

Floyd laughed out loud after hearing that. The man next to him said those words with a very innocent face, plus a little fear expression contained on the mixed face, making him inwardly also laugh at Arunika. While Gavin put on a confused face, why is Floyd laughing? What is so funny about his words?

After laughing for about two minutes, the laughter finally stopped. Floyd attempted to regain control of himself by pulling and exhaling slowly. He also wiped away the small tears on the tail of his eyes, then patted Gavin's shoulder a few times.

"Arunika is the head of OSIS this school." Gavin shakes his head, there's one word he doesn't understand, OSIS?

"So, it seems that Arunika already knows about your arrival to this school so that when she sees a foreign student in her eyes, her smart brain immediately knows that you are the new student. And since he already knows you, he certainly knows where your class is." Clearly Floyd, who sounded very reasonable to Gavin, made his fear of Arunika decrease dramatically.

"What's it like to meet Arunika?" Now Floyd is asking, even though he already knows about what the answer is.

"A little dizzy." Floyd laughed again, rightly guessed.

"She's really had that big energy. While in the medical room, he kept talking nonstop until it made me feel a little tired." That last sentence Gavin followed with a heavy breath, making Floyd's laughter even louder. Imagining Arunika who spoke nonstop and Gavin who gradually drained his energy because the babble of the woman was able to make his day brighter.

"Arunika is famous for its chatty nature. So, the new person who meets him will be surprised, but from there also the new person becomes comfortable around him." Gavin agreed to the reply because he felt it too.

Suddenly, the woman who was the conversation between the two men entered the eye catch of Gavin and Floyd. You can see Arunika talking to the park guards who are mowing the grass. From afar Gavin could feel how exciting their conversation was because the two were constantly laughing.

"It feels like Arunika knows all the workers here, very well educated by her family," praised Floyd with sincerity, while Gavin chose to be quiet.

"Aaron!" Arunika, Gavin, and Floyd turned to the source of the voice. Arunika smiles and embraces the woman.

"He was Arunika's close friend, Hera Courtney," explained Floyd briefly and answered a nod by Gavin.

Soon the two women turned their bodies around. It was then that the bright brown netra of Arunika and the grey green netra of Gavin met for the second time. The owner of the bright brown eyes widened with a smile that was increasingly wide open.

"Hello, we meet again! How's your head?" he asked as he walked quickly closer to Gavin. Because he was also embracing Hera, Hera was also interested, but more importantly was his gaze as if asking whether the man was Gavin Kanagara the new student? Despite not returning her friend's gaze, Arunika returned the inner question with a small nod.

"It's better. Thank you for healing her," Gavin replied with a faint smile. Arunika nodded happily and replied to Floyd's greeting.

"You guys going to the cafeteria? If you want, come, be together," take Hera casually. Gavin and Floyd glanced at each other for a few seconds and both nodded. That way, the four youngsters walked together towards the cafeteria with Arunika-Hera walking in front of him Gavin-Floyd.

During the journey, Gavin notices Arunika who unceasingly answers the greetings of the other students. A smile could not be separated from his face, making him admire the woman a little. Arriving at the cafeteria, Gavin was slightly surprised by the crowd, almost the entire place had been filled.

While searching for a place, a voice that the four people were familiar with was heard, making them look for the source of his voice. Sure enough, it turned out that Maverick had waved his hand. Maverick seemed to know that the four people were looking for a place and coincidentally, the table where he sat was only filled by himself because of his position in the corner.

"Why alone? Where are your friends?" ask Floyd while taking the place next to Maverick and Gavin chose to sit in front of him Maverick, while Arunika and Hera had gone to buy food.

Hearing the question Maverick grieved resentfully, "whatever friends, they prefer to eat with that fool." Floyd frowned confusedly. Maverick pointed to a table about two tables in front of him with his chin. The two men follow Maverick's show, and it can be seen that some of the friends Floyd knew were quite close to Maverick eating with Archie's gang.

"Once again he took your friend," said Floyd with a heavy sigh, while Gavin was a little confused by the sentence.

"Isn’t he .. who is your match today?" gavin asked doubtfully which Maverick answered a nod.

"What's the matter with him?" gavin asked again, Maverick was silent. Seeing the inertia, Gavin immediately understood that he had asked too far.

"There's no need to answer if you don't want to, the important thing is that if he takes action, like now, he's jealous of you." Maverick smiled after hearing that sentence.

"What if we were your friends now? Let's not feel lonely anymore" Floyd said teasingly in his second sentence. Maverick screeched playfully and put a spoonful of food back in his mouth.

"You dare to say that when my ears hear what you're saying?" The three men turned to a voice capable of reaching the corner of the room, as well as all the disciples in the canteen. All of them stared at the one person who had placed both of his hands on his waist with his angry face.

"Arunica?"
