"Why have you been avoiding me these last three days?" arunika asked with a sharp gaze while eroding the distance of her face with Gavin slowly, while Gavin held each shoulder of Arunika with both hands.
"There are things ... that I must consider in depth," Gavin replied after a moment of silence. He really did not expect Arunika to take action like this. But if the girl has done something unexpected, then Gavin has crossed the line.
"Alright, I understand it, but do you have to go this far? Every time we're in the same place, you go away for all sorts of reasons. You even ran away right away after seeing me," said Arunika with great annoyance at every word that came out of her mouth. He even paused a little in each sentence to catch his breath.
"You know? I feel ... sad," continued the girl in a voice that swallowed at the end of the sentence, while since then Gavin just silently listened to all Arunika's complaints. He felt bad for the woman and was right, even though he needed time to manage his feelings, but he could not leave her in a big question mark. However, Arunika does not know what is going on inside her.
On the other hand, Arunika felt a "consciousness" which she thought was quite strange, why did she feel sad? Though it seems like the feeling that enveloped during Gavin's dodge was confusion and annoyance.
Gavin exhaled a small breath with a faint smile, then gently took Arunika's hands that were on both sides of her body and grasped them. He slightly lowered his head in order to be on par with Arunika's tiny face.
"You're right, I shouldn't have acted this far. I'm sorry, yeah, it made you feel this way." The words full of gentleness and sincerity made Arunika pause for a moment. His bright brown netra looked straight at the greenish blue netra in front of him, not knowing what he was looking for through that gaze. One thing that Arunika realized about their current situation. Gavin is a sincere and considerate man in the people around him—though initially always considered to be indifferent and cold—but at this time, sincerity and attention to Arunika is not as usual. Something changed from that look.
Gavin raised one eyebrow when he saw the absence of response from Arunika, "Run?" call her while gently rubbing the back of Arunika's hand with her thumb so that the woman's consciousness is attracted back.
"You're still angry, huh?" gavin asked with a made-up sad face. Arunika snorted hearing that then slowly released her hand from Gavin.
"You can tell me about the things you considered for days, which even made you have to stay away from me" Arunika said with a slight murmur in the last six words. But of course it could still be heard by Gavin so that the man could only chuckle. It was quite funny and fun to see Arunika who looked annoyed like this.
"I'll tell you after tomorrow's show, how?" reply Gavin asked for an opinion and agreement from Arunika. Without needing to think for long Arunika nodded in agreement.
"It's okay if you don't want to tell me, I was just kidding. But if you want, I'm ready to hear it." After saying that understanding sentence, Arunika gave her bright smile, making Gavin smile. Reddish brown hair Arunika back Gavin usap—entah for the number of times, Arunika does not mind it because it has happened often.
"Then, come on, back to the front. We've made them wait a long time" Arunika asked as she turned her body and gave her back to Gavin. The man smiled widely while shaking his head inexhaustibly. Not because of Arunika's actions, but because of herself. Through this incident he realized, he really needed the presence of Arunika around him to be able to smile widely like this.
The appearance of Arunika and Gavin from behind the backstage is enough to invite the attention of everyone there, especially the aura that seems brighter and full of friendship— like never before. Everyone considered, the problem between the two people had been resolved well because there was no sound of shouting since they spoke four eyes.
The two men of the opposite sex took a seat next to Hera with Arunika finally sitting in the middle of Hera and Gavin. Hera gave back the rundown paper that had been abandoned earlier to the owner.
"Corrected yet?" tanya Hera insinuated the two.
"Already, dong, if not, I will definitely return here alone," replied Arunika with pride, while Gavin again just smiled. Hera snorted with a smile and then gave a small nod.
The information also made the performers take their respective bags on the bleachers and leave the hall after saying goodbye. Then Arunika turned to Gavin, "don't you go home?" he asked after realizing that Gavin did not seem to have the intention to move even a little from his chair.
"I want to accompany you, may I?"
Arunika raised both of her shoulders indifferently, "please." Gavin smiled happily at his request, then moved from his seat to follow Arunika who had walked to the group of friends in his organization. Hera could only shake her head inexhaustibly looking at Gavin's behavior.
Although the relationship between the two has returned to normal, Gavin now always thinks about all his actions on Arunika, between fearing that the woman is aware of his feelings and fearing that Arunika is uncomfortable. It feels more difficult, different when he is not aware of his feelings. But also not a little bit of regret in him. There is nothing to be sorry about when a new feeling comes into his life.
Finally at six in the afternoon, the entire work of the OSIS board was completed. Everyone cheered happily while clapping and now, they were preparing to go home. Soon one by one the people in the room left the hall, as did Arunika, Gavin, and Hera. The three people separated in front of the school gate as each invitation had been waiting.
Gavin finally set foot on the floor of his house at six in over twenty minutes. He walked leisurely to his room, unaware of the existence of his father sitting on the sofa of the family room with a beloved tablet in his hand.
"Gavin," call Harris who makes Gavin a little surprised. Gavin quickly turned his gaze to the father who had grown up once outside his study.
"Tumben's father was here once, usually in the workspace continues," Gavin expressed his surprise.
Harris raised both his shoulders indifferently, "while looking for the atmosphere just now." Gavin also nodded in understanding.
"Why do you think the last few days have been so late?" harris asked after him casually. Actually he does not matter the child comes home at hours like this because sure Gavin is able to take care of himself and know the limits. It's just that the act of returning home late was not the hallmark of his son.
Gavin did not expect his father to ask this so he was silent for a while and replied, "my school tomorrow there is an event to celebrate valentine's day and I became one of the performers." Harris nodded slowly hearing the answer. Then there was silence there.
Seeing the father who seemed to not want to say anything more, Gavin also confirmed the position of his bag that only hangs on one shoulder and put his left hand into the pocket of pants.
"Does anyone want dad kata—"
"Tomorrow Sunday we will visit your mother's grave."
