CHAPTER 6: FORGIVING

"I don't have any names to say." Leisurely Arunika replied with both shoulders raised.

"You're accusing me. But unfortunately it wasn't me, he fell down on his own because he wanted to take the ball away from me" Archie argued with a face made as convincing as possible.

"But we have eyewitnesses here." Archie's gaze immediately turned to Maverick and pointed at him, "him?" Arunika took a glance at Maverick who did not give any response.

Archie laughed mockingly, "how do you know that what he said was true? You know he doesn't like me, so he could have said that to set me up." Arunika's forehead shriveled with clenched hands, inwardly praising Archie's cleverness in giving a reasonable reply.

But Arunika is still Arunika, she is not consumed by the words of the man in front of her. He relaxed his forehead and stretched his fist. His head looked up slightly and his eyes looked over there and here, leaving Archie puzzled.

When Arunika's eyes have found the desired object, he pointed to it, an item installed in the corner of the room right back of Arunika, “want see CCTV?”

Archie was silent to hear that, he forgot that there was CCTV in every room of the school. He was back evasive, his “CCTV was broken.”

“You sure?” While saying the question, he pulled out his phone and fiddled with it for a while. He put the smart object to his ear and tapped his finger on the back of the phone. A few seconds later, there was an old man's voice that made Arunika's face smile kindly, as if the man was in front of her.

"Good afternoon, Mr Sucipto? Yes, sir, I am Arunika." Most of the people there cengo, Arunika turned out to contact Mr. Sucipto, the school employee in charge of overseeing the entire school CCTV. Hera, Fernando, and Laura who saw those expressions laughed inwardly. Maybe they forgot that Arunika was a student who knew almost all teachers and school employees, so it was natural that the woman had the contacts of the workers there.

"Sorry to interrupt the time, I want to ask," said Arunika while keeping his phone away from the ear and men-speakernya with the volume raised so that everyone there can hear the conversation with Mr. Sucipto.

"Please, Non."

"CCTV indoor sports hall is again broken, huh?" asked Arunika while staring at the CCTV.

"No, really, Non. Yesterday the maintenance was just done and all the CCTV was fine, even I was looking at Non Arunika and the others from here." Arunika glanced at Archie who lowered his head, then he waved his hand at the CCTV.

Mr. Sucipto laughed, "because Non can't see me from there, so I just say, yes, I'm returning the wave of Non's hand from here." That sentence is strong evidence that Mr. Sucipto can indeed see Arunika from CCTV. Arunika smiled triumphantly, but she asked the old man again.

"So you know, where were you 25 minutes ago?"

"I'm from here, Non," the expression made Archie's body freeze, in contrast to Arunika who shouted happily in her heart.

"Then, you see the match between two students here?"

"Yes, Non, the game's exciting." Enthusiastically Mr. Sucipto said the sentence.

"But it looks like someone's been injured, yeah. I saw the black hairdresser seemed to be playing too excited until he finally accidentally nudged—" The phone was disconnected because now the smart object is on the floor with the screen cracked. Everyone there fell silent, as did Arunika who still did not believe what she was going through. His hand was thrown at a basketball?

No, it wasn't Archie's, but Ergy William's, one of Archie's "subordinates. Archie looked at Ergy sharply, while the one he was looking at gave a panicked face. He was completely unaware of doing that, he just felt that Archie was already in a very cornered position, he just wanted to protect him. Out of nowhere, the basketball that had been in his hand he threw into Arunika's hands quite hard until finally the phone fell.

Gavin who saw that immediately sat himself with widened eyes full of emotion. Maverick and Floyd also gave a face that is not much different. Hera immediately approached Arunika who was still still glued to her hand. Fernando walked towards Ergy with anger soaring high and pulled his shirt.

"You dare to be rude to women?" said Fernando while a firm grip on his shirt. Laura tried to stop Fernando with sedative words.

"Fer, stop, Fer. We're members of the OSIS, if we're found out we can be in all out with the school." The woman tried to remove Fernando's hand from Ergy's shirt, while Ergy could only close her eyes with a feeling of fear.

Finally Fernando took off Ergy's shirt and was invited away by Laura.

"Run," call Hera as gently as possible. Before long Arunika exhaled slowly and lowered her hand which she had seen since. His eyes turned to CCTV, raising his two thumbs with a gentle smile, telling his gesture that everything was fine and the man had nothing to worry about. He also hopes that Mr. Sucipto can catch the message.

After that, Arunika exhaled again and looked at Gavin who was still in his position. The woman realized that Gavin also felt anger so she walked closer to her "patient" and gave a contrite grim smile, "have ten minutes passed? If not, the patient must fall asleep in order to reduce bruising." For some reason, Arunika felt she had to ease Gavin's emotions first, so she just followed her heart.

Gavin stared in Arunika for a while, "yes, ten minutes have passed," he replied later. Arunika nodded in understanding and asked Floyd to stop the compress. He opened the P3K box again and pulled the bandage out of it. Deftly Arunika bandages the sprained leg with not too tight.

"The train can be removed after 72 hours and during the healing process, do not do strenuous activities until you can walk without pain. Apply a cold compress to your feet in the first 72 hours three to four times a day for fifteen to twenty minutes. And when you sleep, use a pillow to prop your legs up, and then position your legs higher than your chest, just like you did earlier. If you follow all my instructions, your foot will heal in 3 days, but if not, you better see a doctor, okay?" obviously Arunika was at length with a face full of tenderness, making Gavin's face gradually soften.

"Ready, doctor." Arunika smiled hearing the call. Without them noticing, everyone noticed the interaction of Arunika and Gavin. Hera, Fernando, and Laura looked at each other meaningfully. Archie averted his gaze, which was important not to point at the long chair there.

"Well, since my patient's problem is over and my emotions have also gone down, how about we solve another problem that turns out to be worse?" asked Arunika turned her body and looked at Archie and Ergy. Then his gaze turned to his smartphone lying dead on the floor. He took it and tried to bring it to life. Can't, the phone's broken. He again breathed a heavy breath.

"Well, I won't hold my phone accountable because I still have the money to buy it again. But, I'll hold you responsible for what you did to Gavin ..," Arunika said, pointing to Archie, "and you to me" pointing to Ergy.

"I don't want to prolong this matter." Arunika turned her head and gave a look of disbelief to Gavin who was sitting behind her.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm lazy to look for trouble with other people, so let's just say I've forgiven him and the problem is over" said Gavin with a flat face. Archie who heard that did not believe it, nor did Arunika.

Arunika turned her back to look at the man in front of her, she placed her right hand on her waist and the fingers of her left hand massaged her nose slowly, "how can you take this matter as trivial? What Archie did was included in the bullying and the problem couldn't be solved that easily."

"Arunika, this is my problem with him, if I consider it finished, then it is finished. Likewise with you, if you consider your problem with Ergy heavy and cannot be solved easily, then do what you want. So, don't set me up on deciding anything." That sentence spoken firmly made Arunika speechless. His eyes stared at the two bright neutrals of Gavin, looking for lies there. There aren't.

Arunika also gave her lips once and nodded in understanding. He exhaled slowly and said in a soft voice, "you're right, sorry, I've crossed the line." At once Gavin felt an uneasy feeling in his heart, but he quickly brushed it off.

Arunika then looked at Ergy in silence, weighing something. After which he nodded confidently, "alright, I won't prolong this matter either, I will also assume that I have forgiven you and the matter is over." The decision was quite surprising from Arunika, but also strange. Silently Ergy exhaled a sigh of relief in her heart.

"Run?" ask Hera not to believe it. Arunika looked at her close friend and smiled, "sometimes we need not to prolong the problem and let go of it, tired too if everything is taken seriously." After saying that, Arunika stared at the wall clock in the room. He was quite surprised when he knew the long needle had pointed at the number six.

"All of you go home, it's six o'clock, the school will soon be closed." Hearing those words, everyone immediately prepared to go home, while Arunika had run out of the room.

"Be careful, Run!" shouted Hera who got the answer in the form of a thumb from Arunika.

"Gavin, remember my message!" Arunika persisted while running away.

And the man who was reminded was only able to stare at the back of the woman who had disappeared from behind the door.
