Shadow From the Past

Shadow From the Past
Chapter 97

Vano arrived at the hotel that would be his lodging place this time. It has been almost a week he left and would be bored if only settled in one hotel only.

"Gue I'm like you know moving house, yeah,"

Vano chuckled softly after observing the room that would be his place from this moment on and out of nowhere, which was clear until he was saturated.

"But exciting anyway, feel still single and staycation continues. In a grandiose hotel is not an important problem not stress like at home,"

Vano walked to the bathroom, then to the balcony and his nice private pool. "I'm not sorry I came here. I think everything I booked was good, all right,"

"If Elvina—"

"No! No!"

Vano shook his head strongly when he remembered Elvina. It's always like that. But Elvina certainly does not remember her. While He remembers almost every time especially when daydreaming, eating, sleeping. Usually there are friends, now alone.

"Hopefully another time can go to hotels not only by yourself,"

He hopes to invite Elvina, but does not want to mention the name of the woman because it will be upset itself later. If that name had come from his mouth, he would have kept thinking.

Vano jerked his body into the bed which immediately tempted him to sleep. "Arghh crazy is very comfortable," he said, as he closed.

Some time Vano almost fell asleep. He closed his eyes and almost went to sleep but as his phone shook, he was forced to open his previously closed eyes.

"Eh her father Elvina tumben phone. Why is this?"

Vano immediately sat up straight and shifted the green panel to answer the phone from Arman who suddenly contacted him.

"Assalamualaikum, hello, Dad,"

"Waalaikumsalam, where are you planning to have dinner, Van?"

Vano glanced at the wall clock that was in front of him, precisely on top of the television. It was five in the afternoon.

"Not yet, Dad. Maybe at the hotel,"

"Oh okay, can I come to where you are now? We're having dinner together,"

"That's a lot, Dad. I sent you a location, Dad,"

Vamo's smile came with its width. He did not expect to be invited to dinner by Arman, his father-in-law who used to hate him but now has turned around to consider him as a child and according to Vamo, Arman always be wise to him. Arman would not defend him if Arman knew he was right. And it was unbearable to reprimand Elvina after knowing that Elvina had done wrong.

*****

"Well, why take Vano out to eat together? If Elvina knew what it was?"

Arman chuckles at his wife's objectionable remark He wants to have dinner with Vano.

"What's the matter, Bun? If Elvina knows, no problem. Not exactly good, is it? I want to eat with Vano to discuss their problems, too,"

"Oh, do you want to talk about that? But Elvina misunderstood again. He thought he was siding with Vano,"

"Yes, Elvina should have been conscious from the beginning. Bun, this father doesn't want to defend the wrong child. If he's wrong, you tell him firmly so that he realizes what his mistake is. Well now I want to try to find out why Vano hasn't come home yet even though Elvina's going to apologize. I don't know what makes Vano not come home yet. Precisely because I thought of Elvina so I want to see Vano later. Although the father was on Vano's side, but the father still thinks about the father's son, Bun. Pity her long in the house there is no husband even though she herself does not matter just enjoy it,"

"Mother not coming?"

"No, mother at home. Let me meet Vano, please,"

"Yes, let's make it better to talk to him when he's a boy, too,"

"Elvina didn't call mom? How many days is it,"

"Again enjoying life without Vano, Bun,"

Dini patted her husband's arm and hissed in annoyance. If Elvina heard her father insinuate her like that, it was certain that Elvina would be irritated.

"Iya Elvina said she was happier if there was no Vamo. I think that's bullshit. Where can be happy people usually live together kok keep suddenly Vano away, must be quiet, lah,"

"Mother wants to call Elvina. Ask him how he is,"

Dini contacted her eldest daughter but was not answered. Arman rubbed his wife's shoulders gently. "Elvina's resting again maybe, Bun,"

"But how many days he hasn't called my mom. 'And Mommy is confused and worried, Dad,"

"No need to worry, if there's anything, I'll tell you. But this isn't it, Ma. Insha Allah Elvina well, it has not had time to contact budna,"

******

Arman arrives at the hotel where Vano is staying. Vano was waiting for him in the lobby. Vano did not want his father-in-law to have trouble finding the location of his room.

"Where's the trip here, Dad? Not jammed?"

"No, the road was a little quiet, Van,"

Vano takes Arman to his room. Finally Arman knew where Vano was staying for a while.

"What day have you been here, Van?"

"Here I just moved in, Dad,"

"Oh just moved here. Don't buy an apartment so if there's a problem with Elvin living there,"

Vamo immediately folded his lips inwardly feeling that Arman's remark was a satire for him.

"Well, actually I don't like to run around if there's a problem. It's just that my patience is being tested again,"

"Yes, it's nothing. You know what you need for yourself. If you ever need space without Elvina, no problem,"

Vano opened the door of his room and immediately invited Arman to enter. Arman immediately stared at the hotel room that her daughter-in-law booked for her to rest.

"We ate at the hotel, huh, Dad?"

"Yes, it's not everywhere,"

"Okay, I ordered the food, just wait for it to come, Dad,"

"Dad asked, until now Elvina has never called you?"

"Udah, Dad. The first one he apologized for, and the second one because he wanted to take me to his friend's birthday,"

"Oh, is he sorry?"

"Yes, he said the father told him to," Vamo sounded hesitant when he said it, afraid it was not true but Elvina herself said it. Now he wants to know what Arman said. Maybe he got an answer. Whether it's true or not Arman told his son to apologize.

"Dad went to Elvina, I counseled her strictly and I told her to apologize but I didn't think she'd talk to you that way,"

Elvina should apologize for the desire of her own heart, not for being told by anyone including her own father.

"Oh, is it true that Dad told you to, huh? Honestly, I was also confused because suddenly he called I kept apologizing and asked when I came home. I'm so happy, Dad. But no idea is not Elvina's own desire, but because it was told. That's what disappointed me. Though I was really cool and thought about going home at that time because I was so happy, but not long he said so, I was immediately lethargic,"

"Van, I'm sorry. I'm sorry on behalf of Elvina because Elvina may have gone too far, until you finally chose to go like this,"

"It's okay, Dad. Indeed I'm the same Elvina must be like this for a while to be aware of each other's mistakes,"

"Dad came here earlier to invite mama only mama did not want to. I called Elvina a few times but it was not answered. Because how many days Elvina hasn't called my mom. Are you the same as Elvina staying in communication?"

"Last time he told me to go home so I could be his friend to come to his friend's birthday. If it wasn't wrong two days ago. After that we cut off communication again, Dad,"

In the middle of their conversation dinner came, they immediately ate it.

"When do you want to go home?"

"Elvina's still so cute with me, Dad. I think he's really happy living without me,"

"Van, don't talk like that. In any case, that Elvina needs your figure next to her. I appreciate your decision not to go home, but if you can not be too long. I'm sure Elvina actually misses your presence next to her only she doesn't want to be honest about it,"

"Whose name longs will not be covered by the hermit, Dad. Elvina will definitely call me if she misses me and needs my figure, but until now not. Call me yesterday because you told me to and there's a need, too,"

"Father can only pray for the best for you. Hopefully your relationship will soon recover, yes, I'm very happy if you can come back again, not each of them is like his life,"

"Thank you for supporting both of us without dropping one. Dad was wise, and I really appreciate that,"

"It is the duty of the father to make the relationship between the child and the son-in-law of the father well. I don't like there's a problem between the two of you that finally makes you this tenuous,"

******

"Mom, are you sure you don't want to? It's sweet sour sauce crab, ma'am,"

Amih tried to tease Elvina who refused to look at the crab sent by Vano. Though Vano was very attentive to sending food to his wife, but was rejected by Elvina.

"No way, Mih. Please don't force it,"

"But this has been sent by Mr. Vano, dear if not eaten, ma'am,"

"You've eaten, I don't want to,"

Elvina told Amih to come out of her room and enjoy the crab alone, not necessarily herself because she did not want to receive any food from Vano or any kind of attention from the man.

"Really, Mom? I keep it first, right? Maybe I'll,"

"Mad, I don't want to. Don't force me,"

Amih sighed softly then nodded his head slowly. He would come out of the room according to what Elvina asked.

"Force me. People say they don't want to, but still do,"

Elvina contacted Vano to warn the man not to send him any more food.

"Hello,"

"Hmm, why?"

Elvina gritted her teeth in annoyance because Vano's reply sounded completely different from the usual one.

"You sent the crabs here, didn't you? Don't send anything home anymore,"

"Lho is why? Like me, I want to do good to a house person other than you, so don't ban me,"

"I took the crab off you,"

Elvina turned off their phone connection then stared at her phone with turbulent emotions.

"That's really you! What attention do you try? Mending, don't do it,"

*****

"Lo hasn't come back yet? When do you want to come back? It's a real life to be alone, bro,"

Vano chuckled at the taunting of Ajun who came to the hotel where he was staying with Kila.

"Yes, I'm not going back. This why bring Kila? Where are you going, kid?"

"The first thing is business, so I want to take Kila for a walk. Want to ngajakin lo nih, let me not be alone, there are friends when momong son. Do you want to?"

"That's fine, come on-ayo,"

Vamo's eyes immediately sparkled when Ajun daylight came to his room. He just came from class. Ajun stared at Vano's work then he looked at Vano doubtfully.

"Seriously want to come with me with Kila? How's your job? I really don't think you're going to follow ya,"

"Let's go with me. My work is done,"

"Seriously no?"

"Yes! My time is not serious?"

Ajun chuckled happily because there would be his friend to go with his daughter. "Seriously, right? Come on, yeah,"

"Seriously! Again, I kick it,"

The adjunct immediately moved with spirit. Kila in her arms smiled widely. "My son looks like I'm glad you're coming, Van,"

"Yes, wait a minute, I'm tidy first yeah,"

"Okay, I'm waiting,"

Ajun sat in the front seat of Ken's room while Vano tidied up his desk first and prepared himself before leaving.

"Gue started enjoying life on his own. It turns out I'm glad I don't depend on Elvina, either,"

"Gue can be happy because of himself, and others as well. Simple, want to go with Kila aja already make me happy," Inner Vano is still busy arranging his work desk.

Shortly afterwards he immediately rushed to Ajun with his daughter waiting.

Vano immediately grabbed Kila in his arms. He looked at Kila deeply with a faint smile and muttered in his heart.

"When can Om have something like you, Kila? It's really a child, but it's not possible now,"

"My son's company is. I'm going to go to the toilet, right,"

"Okay, not for long! Ntar lo crybaby,"

"No, just throw it away,"

Just one step his father left, Kila immediately wanted to crawl up to the table where they had eaten together earlier.

"Eh Kila don't ride, honey. It will fall,"

"No!"

"Well? Nyolot told you what?"

Vano was blown away when he got the plot and nagging from the stubborn Kila who was willing to go up to the table.

"Eh later diomelin same restaurant waiter. Let it go, Om doesn't want responsibility,"

Vano grabbed the boy so as not to continue the action but quickly Kila hit his hand. Vano was more than happy to ban the boy because of the stubbornness he had.

"Crazy, don't be stubborn dong,"

"Wild,"

"That's a way to know, yeah,"

Vano finally helped the boy crawl so as not to fall. If he crawled on his own, Vano was worried Kila even fell to the floor, where his parents were not there so they could not see the real events.

Later he will not be pleased.

After sitting on the table, Kila went down. Vamo who saw that snorted. "So I'm going up to the table, now I'm going down. Ah Kila ribet ya,"

Kila really fucked up Vano. But basically Vano was patient so he just obeyed what he wanted the child.

"If you don't make Om fuck,"

"No!"

"Not what?"

Vano held the child up and hugged him tightly so that Kila could not go anywhere else to act.

Not long after, Ajun came from the toilet and went straight to their table. Vano immediately handed Kila to his papa.

"Lo's son is fierce, too, unruly,"

"Kayak just know aja lo mah, people have met often too, even play to your house. Are you not home now, right? Accuse me of my friend's,"

"Yes, let's not be at home, I can still sleep somewhere else,"

Ajun laughed off hearing the words of Vano who is trying to enjoy his daily life now without a life partner.

"Let's go back I'm tired," asked Vano to Ajun who immediately nodded in agreement. The three of them immediately left the restaurant.

"Eh Jun, thanks for the deal,"

"Yoi, thanks for being Kila's friend, too,"

"Abis you want to go straight back to the hotel?"

"Yes, I'm a bachelor now, living alone,"

"Gue thinks you're going home, Ken,"

"Now, I'm still angry,"

*****

Vano and Ajun arrived at the parking area. Ajun immediately put his son in the middle seat with his car seat while Vano would get into his own car, but it failed because Vano's eyes found the figure of Elvina who had just come out of a car with a woman and also a man who got out of the car quickly to catch up with Elvina who had gone first.

Vano shook his head slowly to see Elvina whose path was still a bit difficult but forced herself into the mall.

"Again aching still want to walk instead of focusing on the same leg recovery first. I don't know why you don't feel at home. Is it because there is no me? No way,"

“Eh Van! Why are you silent?"

Ajun pressed the horn and called out to Vano, who looked in one direction where he saw his wife with two friends. Whether friends or what, Vano is unfamiliar but they are clearly familiar, laughing while chatting and also he saw the man patting slowly the top of Elvina's head.

"Yes, uh, don't wait,"

"For a moment, what are you doing? What's ingeliatin?"

"No, come back,"

Ajun will take Vano to his house even though they use their respective cars.

Throughout the journey Vano's mind was fixed on his wife who seemed to be happy with the two people.

Elvina seems to be enjoying her life without Vano. While Vano himself can never be calm away from the woman. The tightness of love clapping one hand turned out to be like this.

Not feeling needed even his presence had no meaning at all so even though He went as far as nothing would have any effect on Elvina.

*****

"Njir, I never thought I'd see you again, my two exes,"

"Old ex? Has it ever been, huh?"

"Love ******,"

"Yes it's a monkey's love, it doesn't count on my ex if you're mah,"

Elvina laughed looking at Jona who had just acknowledged her as an ex. Though they were involved in the love of monkeys when they entered high school.

"Gue's not your ex, Jon, either,"

"Memory darkness, njir,"

"What do you say beg me to be taught dinner together, you remember not?"

Elvina laughed looking at Lila's scowling face, her road friend as well at this moment. Lila takes Jona's cigarette box and throws it at Jona.

"Whisper me yes!"

Their jokes stopped when the food they ordered came before the three of them.

"Good meal,"

"Good meal too,"

****

"Thanks, Juni,"

Vano kissed Kila's cheek briefly before parting ways with her beautiful friend's son.

"Bye, Kila. Be careful, I'll go out with you again, okay?"

"Okay, ready,"
