Finalizing the Plan
It was one Sunday before the uproar in the training arena of the royal army occurred.
In the meeting room of the palace, the military and royal higher-ups had gathered. Queen, prime minister, head of parliament, Minister of military affairs, and general of the royal armed forces Heinz.
"In seven days' time, we'll start a military campaign. Our goal is to conquer Marquisdom Savoy. Margaret, please continue."
Margaret stood up from her chair and explained the details of the operation they were about to perform.
"Marquisdom Savoy is in a bad position. Arc Savoy, who is now the Head of the Savoy family, has gone to the capital Moskov and has never returned.
"According to the information we have, he is recovering in Kiev. But another conjecture, he was deeply traumatized when facing a powerful enemy when a mysterious disaster occurred."
Margaret paused for a moment and turned the page of the file she was holding.
"Now, about 30,000 people have strengthened their defenses. 13,000 were Marquis Savoy's private soldiers, 7,000 consisted of ordinary people recruited as volunteers, and the rest, another 10,000 were mercenaries."
Margaret paused for a moment when one of them raised his hand.
"Minister of military affairs, it seems you have a question. Please."
"Thank you prime minister. Sorry for the interruption. Didn't any reinforcements come to defend the Marquisdom Savoy? It felt, their actions were too awkward."
"really. For some reason, they did not send help. According to an intelligence analysis, this was due to the extreme winter that befell the Moskov empire.
"Winter there comes faster and stops slower. It is possible that they will delay their military campaign. But more importantly......"
Margaret fell silent. His eyes glanced at Aurellia. Aurellia closed her eyes and nodded.
The meeting room became silent. The officials and other higher-ups were astonished by that fact. Those who were not surprised were only Aurellia, Margaret, and Chris.
The officers know one thing. When they conquer a kingdom, the orders of the emperor will come down. It was an order regarding the removal of the royal family that was in power earlier.
Not just names. Literally, they were completely wiped out. Every royal family will be slaughtered until nothing remains. No matter they are women, children, and others. They also hunted the king's illegitimate children if they had.
It was their attempt to reduce the potential for rebellion. Usually, once the royalty heard that their kingdom would be invaded by the Moskov Empire, they would immediately flee to another continent.
But if the Royalty family no longer exists, then who exactly encouraged this rebellion to happen? The higher-ups were filled with such thoughts but Margaret cleared her throat and restored their focus.
"Let's put aside the rebellion. Now, let's move on to the main discussion."
Margaret began to explain the plan that Aurellia and herself had designed.
"The operation this time will be reinforced by 50,000 royal soldiers. We will hand over the technical assignment to the minister of military affairs and the armed forces of the Kingdom of Heinz. No need to worry about war equipment or other logistical problems, we've prepared for that."
The minister of military affairs and the supreme general of the armed forces consisting of the army and navy nodded. They also prepared themselves for this.
"The ministry of financial affairs has budgeted enormous funds for this military campaign. Failure is not an option. Whatever the price, we have to succeed."
That was what Aurellia said before the meeting was over.
One week later, Heinz's royal army began to set out for the Savoy region.
