The Night Before the Fall
This is the story of a few moments before the Savoy region fell.....
Gram who was defending the wall was resting at night. It was more precisely the first night after the siege took place. For three days he did not rest. It was all to prepare for the coming war.
Who would have thought that the royal army was more persistent than he thought. In any case, Gram had thought of the best strategies to keep the Savoy.
He organized his knights and volunteers, encouraged them, and provided adequate rest for the wall guards as much as possible. As long as possible, Gram wanted to hold back their pace while killing as much as he could.
But the quality of the royal army was somehow! When one of them managed to climb the wall, they immediately advanced and struck his troops.
Even when one of them was surrounded by ten or 15 people, even when they had been pierced with spears or arrows, they continued to fight to the death from blood loss or were beheaded.
The death toll was greater than he could have thought before. Gram believes both her knights and volunteers have such high patriotism that they will do anything to protect their homeland.
Of course it's not wrong. But seeing the fighting Heinz kingdom army as if it were seeking death, their morale became low and their morale decreased.
"This is very serious.hahh.we lack troops, food, and the number of weapons. The Heinz Kingdom looks the opposite. If it continues this way."
Although Gram tried to sleep, he could not. His head was always overshadowed by the blood that would flood the streets, the babies who would be killed, and the women who would be raped.
Because it didn't matter what price he had to pay, Gram would continue to be determined to protect this place, even though his life was one of those payments.

The fighting continued on the second day. The royal army grew more persistent while the defensive forces were further eroded. Even so, they survived. Especially when seeing Gram continue to slash at enemies mercilessly.
"CONTINUE TO DEFEND THE WALLS AND SLASH THE ENEMY AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!! IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR DEAR FAMILY OR PRECIOUS FRIENDS KILLED, JUST HANG ON!!"
The morale of the guard knights of the wall increased. In the end, they continued to slash at the enemy mercilessly. The royal army was astonished by this development.
Finally the royal army understood who they had to finish first if they wanted to tear down the morale of the defenders. It was a powerful old knight named Gram. Strong enough to kill 30 royal soldiers alone.
The second day, the royal army failed to capture Savoy territory completely.
"Haha!! Come drink! Let's celebrate our victory today!!"
To comfort themselves exhausted, the knights held a feast for themselves. Not much to serve. Just a glass of alcohol and a few snacks. In the midst of the crisis, they do not have the luxury to spend.
The laughter of the knights sounded everywhere. They know that there is no guarantee that tomorrow, they can still see the world. So while they still have the chance, they joke, laugh, and eat as much as they can.
That may be true, but their estimates were slightly missed when one of the couriers ran to where the party was going.
"EMERGENCY NEWS!! THE HEINZ ROYAL ARMY IS ON THE OFFENSIVE!!"
Instantly, the atmosphere in the room became silent.
The knights patrolling above the walls were not fully prepared for this. As a result, they were attacked by the royal army without having time to prepare.
Eugene spearheads tonight's attack. He was selected by commanders to execute difficult missions with 500 other soldiers.
Their mission may sound simple but the facts are very complicated. They were given a light, dark-colored armor to disguise themselves at night. No ladder will take them up the wall. They have to climb a wall like they climb a cliff.
Silently, they moved as quickly as possible without causing a commotion. It's not an easy thing. It was almost impossible not to cause a commotion when they wore armor despite being light.
But no matter what, they can do that. Strategists have found a gap in the walls of the Savoy region. The part of the wall that was damaged would be heavily guarded by the knights patrolling.
Conversely, a wall that has absolutely no damage gets a guard that is not too tight. That's their purpose.
After Eugene managed to be the first to reach the top of the wall, he waited for the others to climb up. Not long after, 501 people had gathered on the wall.
"We'll carry out the attack as quietly as possible. Let's divide the army into two. 250 men come with me to attack the knights while the remaining 250, you will find a way to go down and open the wall door. Understood?"
They nodded. After dividing the troops, they split up and carried out their respective duties.
Of course Eugene couldn't keep that silence forever. Some knights realized that their comrades did not return immediately in a hurry to find the mastermind behind the death of their comrade.
And that was when, a fierce battle broke out. The knights were in a state of exhaustion due to the battles that took place during the day. The plan is they will change places with their colleagues who are partying but it will never happen.
Eugene and the rest of the royal army clashed with the Knights of Savoy. They managed to kill many knights.
Unfortunately, as it continued forward, an old knight blocked their move. Eugene recognized her immediately. He obviously doesn't know his name but he does. This old man is the reason why the morale of the defense forces remains awake.
"You go. This guy is strong. Let me face it. You guys just focus on keeping your attention shifted."
Eugene was directly facing off against the old knight. Undaunted, their swords instantly clashed at all.
"You're pretty stubborn huh, old man. Just give up to avoid having more blood shed."
"Don't joke! You think we're willing to give this territory away for free!?"
Eugene and the old Knight instantly took a distance from each other. Eugene understood his intentions. The old knight understood sooner or later the Savoy territory would fall completely.
The main goal is to buy time as long as possible and cause many casualties on the part of the royal army. A fairly common strategy but this old Knight used it well.
Again and again, the fight continues. Eugene was desperate but in the end he managed to corner the old Knight.
Until at last, by sunrise, Eugene won his duel and managed to behead the old Knight who he later knew his name, Gram.
