Shadow King Chronicles: Building a Kingdom From Behind the Scenes
Two Rulers (2)

Breakfast was done with a pretty good atmosphere. More precisely filled by the chatter of the women. Issac himself did not eat breakfast with them. It was because he said there was something he had to do. He'll be back when breakfast time is over.

As for the contents of his own chatter. No matter how high their positions and responsibilities are, all three are still women. They talk about everything they like. Clothing, food, and so on.

Not felt, their plates were empty. The maids came and poured hot tea into their respective cups. The maids also cleaned the tables and tidied up the dirty dishes and took them away. Just then, Issac came.

Since breakfast time had finished, the atmosphere in Maria's detention room had become even more tense. The real conversation will begin.

Issac only smiled wryly in his heart seeing the tension suddenly coming. He only prepared pen and paper to record all the conversations that happened.

"Miss Mary, have you heard of anything that has happened in your area?"

Maria shook her head. He is a prisoner of war. The information he received was very limited. Despite being treated well, he was basically isolated from the outside world.

Aurellia looked at Margaret. He nodded and Margaret started to say something.

"100,000 soldiers of the emperor and Duke Sarkozy have besieged the territory of Petersburg. They've convicted you of being a traitor for escaping the battlefield. There were also other sentences.

"For them, this is an opportunity that cannot be wasted. It's been a long time since the royal family has gone after everything you have and for them this is the right moment."

After Margaret said that, Mary did not look too shocked. Of course he had guessed that before. He had his own reasons for descending directly into the battlefield. It seemed that Aurellia and Margaret had learned of Mary's true intentions.

"It turns out that way, Miss Maria. For you, it is or if it is not important. There seems to be a reason why Miss Maria went down to the battlefield."

Maria smile. What Margaret said was right.

"Miss Margaret is right. To me losing or winning is not important. If I win, I can urge you to provide assistance to my family to dispel the emperor and Duke Sarkozy.

"But unfortunately, I lost. It is bitter, but that does not mean the profit I have is lost. I'm sure, with the intelligence network that the kingdom has, you can already read the emperor's intentions.

"And with this victory, you intend to take advantage by forcing me to allow the kingdom to intervene in the internal conflict between the Petersburg family and the emperor."

Margaret and Aurellia smiled wryly. As expected of Maria, she could read the true intentions of the kingdom. Well played's....

Aurellia. This time he spoke up.

"Since Miss Maria loses, you have absolutely no right to apply for any conditions. Nor do we need the permission of Miss Maria to enter the territory of Petersburg assuming that your Defeat makes the territory of Petersburg automatically fall into our hands."

This time Maria was silent. That's absolutely true. And this was why he basically did not want to lose. This is what's happening now. He is in an unfavorable position.

But he cannot protest. Circumstances did not allow him and he also had no choice. It would have been better to owe money to the kingdom of Heinz than to submit to the emperor.

"Then do as you like. There's nothing more I have to say. Ah but.... How about another prisoner of war? What will the government do to them?"

There was a bit of concern in Maria's tone. Well, he didn't send his men to die. He wants the best treatment for his captured army.

"According to the laws in force in the kingdom, they will be made into forced labor for five to ten years. There are still many areas of the kingdom that have not been developed and they will work on major projects in the future.

"But don't worry. We will treat them humanely. We'll pay them at least half the wages of the construction workers and feed them three times a day."

Margaret's explanation calmed Mary down. Compared to the imperial soldiers who treated the captives just like toys, the treatment of the kingdom was much better.

"Also of course, if Miss Maria wants to take them back, you have to pay some money to the kingdom. Not included with the cost of reparation or compensation for the kingdom.

"But let's talk about that at another opportunity. We will make time and place ourselves to discuss the prospects of a post-war future with the Petersburg family."

Margaret ended her explanation. Maria let out a sigh of relief and Aurellia looked satisfied. While Issac, he calmly recorded all the conversations earlier.

It doesn't feel like it's afternoon. They missed lunch. As soon as dinner time was about to arrive, the women decided to have a casual chat. Well, the tension is gone and the atmosphere is back liquid. There's nothing to worry about.

Well, Issac himself is glad they're back 'murs'. But it sucks because it's only considered wind then. Unfortunately for the three of them, Issac's mind was filled with demonic wits.

Calmly, Issac went behind the three women who were engrossed in conversation. Then, he licked and bit their ears one by one which instantly made them tremble, surprise, and limp. The three of them could only put a face to Issac with teary eyes.

And the rest, Mary's room was filled with moans of pleasure from three women at once.
