Shadow King Chronicles: Building a Kingdom From Behind the Scenes
Chapter 44: Tragedy in the Dungeon (Part 2)

a week later, it was time for the S-class disciples to enter the dungeon! of course they are accompanied by professional adventurers so that their safety can be guaranteed.

actually, this activity was more like an educational tour than hunting monsters.well, as Issac said in class, their strength was not enough to enter the dungeon.

of course, except for Issac.

only he himself looked calm.while the other disciples looked tense.well naturally anyway.maybe their whole life, this was their first time seeing a monster.

fortunately the presence of the adventurers made them a little calm. Issac would also not be troubled if something happened to them.

to be honest the only one she wants to protect is Anna. well, because in class is that the only friend she has. The rest? well, Issac got a cynical view of them.

haisshh, somehow Issac automatically attracted a lot of dislike of others to him.he was just plain ordinary.but would bother if those people annoy friends or the House of Issac. so he had to put an eye on them.

so far a lot of people who hate it. whether it is from the common people or nobles. commoners assume that Issac is no different from other nobles. arbitrarily, no matter the people, no matter the people, and take away what is rightfully theirs.

while the nobles considered Issac's attitude in no way reflected their class. Issac did not dress glamorously like them. nor did he mind joining the commoners during various activities.

in this world, where the system of absolute monarchy prevailed, nobles were considered to be the messengers of the 12 holy Goddesses who were sent to earth to lead the human race. that's why the Goddesses blessed them with something called magic.

this was a doctrine not only taught to the nobles.it was also taught to the commoners.they were weak, lame, poor, and could do nothing. therefore the Goddesses sent down to them a favor, namely the messengers of the Goddess who were eventually referred to as nobles.

it was because of this doctrine that was passed down through generations that the foundation of the nobles became very strong not only in the kingdom of Heinz but also in almost all the countries in the continent of Lantos.

in fact, if it was run well, it was possible that this would be a fairly ideal system.the commoners paid taxes to the nobles, and the, in exchange the nobles guaranteed the safety of the residents and ensured that they could at least live quietly.

but well, power tends to corrupt. Those who have something called power will have a tendency to be arbitrary.

the acute sense of superiority that the nobles craved, as well as the inferior feeling in the hearts of the commoners made them unable to do anything when their rights were usurped by the nobles.

this is what makes the emergence of dissatisfaction among the common people.it was initially only a little, but over time the dissatisfaction began to spread among them. and one of the gathering centers of the disgruntled commoners was Stanford Academy.

so arguably, the academy was a place for two very opposing camps to gather.

well but that's the story for later. Now, let's get back to the dungeon problem.

Issac and the others had already finished preparing.after being absent from Gerard-sensei, the guild master as well as their teacher, finally the entire S class with the adventurers entered the dungeon.

Gerard-sensei also explained the various body parts of monsters commonly sold by adventurers.yahh, good, everything went well.

finally they arrived at the third floor. This dungeon consisted of three floors so this was the deepest floor.

"This is the deepest floor. Actually behind this cave, there is a boss monster in it. The monster is classified as grade one so he is very strong.but take it easy. as long as we do not lure it, so long as we do not lure it, he's not going out."

"Oh, it looks like starting from here would be fun." A student among them, Gilbert Storm, suddenly casts magic.

"FEEL YOU FOOLISH COMMONERS!! PRISON WIND!! suddenly a very powerful wind vortex shut down the adventurers.they were great adventurers, but being cooped up by a whirlwind as great as that still made their bones crumble.

"OI, WHAT IS KA.." Even before Gerard sensei reacted, a liquid suddenly drenched his body. Gilbert threw the monster-fishing fluid towards Gerard-sensei!

from within Goa, the Auman monster's voice rang out loudly.it was clearly intimidating to the disciples.the adventurers were also cooped up in a whirlwind.

a gray-haired wolf came out from inside Goa. it was a grade one monster! he quickly attacked Gerard-sensei.although Gerard-sensei had put up a protective Barrier, still it had quite an impact on his body.he bounced a few meters, crashed into the wall of the dungeon and died.

"YOOO LOOK, I STILL HAVE SOME FLUIDS... IT SEEMS COOL TO THROW THIS IN THE FACE OF ALL OF YOU!!"

with his ugly face Gilbert took out several bottles that contained the same liquid. It seemed like this monster did not have good eyesight.on the contrary, its smell was incredible!

Gilbert was looking for Issac, he wanted to immediately smear this liquid on his face and see the body of the person he hated the most being torn apart by the wolf!! but...Where is the kid?

just as Gilbert was in a daze, suddenly the bottle he was holding broke!! the liquid immediately washed over his body. Gilbert realized what was about to happen instantly cast the wind magic that became his mainstay element.

but alas, he was late. The wolf ran towards him and directly pounced on his body!

roars of agony and pain rang out throughout the Dungeon.

"GYAAAAA SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK!!! ISSAC BASTARD!! YOU SHOULD BE THE ONE HERE!!! ARGHHHH"

Gilbert eventually died after his body became food for the wolf.

meanwhile Issac suddenly attacked the wolf with his flagship Black katana. It did not take ten seconds, eventually the wolf died with its head cut off.

all the students of class S bear witness to how terrifying the power of Issac was. Tragedy began to change their view of Issac.
