The trial was completed sooner than Damian had expected. As everyone had guessed, Damian Castor would definitely bring victory to his client. Viscoutess Gausse won the case thanks to Damian's ingenuity in getting the evidence. Her husband will be sentenced to three days. Paraded around the city, without a single cloth on his body.

Damian walked out of the courtroom satisfied. The young man was waiting for Cassie to appear when he saw the Viscountess, his client, running in a hurry to meet him. Damian rushed over so that the Viscountess would not have to run any further.

“Viscountess ... You searched for me?” damian asked after being close enough to his client.

The Viscountess grabbed Damian's hand and grasped it gently. “Thank you, Lord Castor. You have saved my hellish life,” said the woman gratefully.

Damian smiled thinly. “It is already my obligation to serve clients well. You deserve to be happy, Viscountess. But now you've become a widow. Of course this is also heavy for you,” replied the young man empathizing.

Viscountess Gausse shook his head slowly. Behind the semi-transparent cover of his face, he hid a puffy face and tears that were still flowing. “It's better, Lord. That guy was just a Baron before he married me. He seduced me solely for wanting to rule over the Gausse family territory. The eyes of the basket deserve punishment,” he said furious.

“You're right. Viscountess, you are young and beautiful. You will definitely soon find another man who can make you happy,” Damian said while holding tightly to the woman's fingers.

Viscountess smiled faintly. “Thank you for the consolation, Lord. But at my age now, with this widow status, there probably won't be any men who want to come close. I just want to focus on managing the region,” he said grimly.

“Tidak, Viscountess. You're still very pretty. Trust me because I have good eyes to see your beauty. Please do not shrink yourself. I really hope for the best for you,” Damian replied convincingly.

The Viscountess smiled again. This time it was wider. “I'm really grateful for your words, Lord. It makes me feel better.”

“Of course, Viscountess. You know that my words are serious,” Damian said solemnly.

After the light conversation, Viscountess Gausse finally left the trial escorted by her guard knights. Damian drove his client to the front of the main hall. Shortly after, Cassie appeared as if she had been waiting for that moment.

“You also seduced a widow, Damian?” cassie asked as she watched Viscountess leave.

“I am only comforting him,” let Damian set his sights on the same place.

Damian snorted softly and then laughed a little. “You like imagining weird things, Cassie. Thank you for your help today. The payment will be given after we return to Red Lotus,”, the young man said later.

Cassie smiled spoiled and hooked her arm to Damian's hand while gluing her body. “So you'll go straight to my place after this?” ask the woman happy.

“Yes. Shouldn't we celebrate our victory today,” Damia replied as she guided Cassie to her carriage waiting at the exit.

Cassie's sticking her body tight. He seemed happy to spend time with Damian until tomorrow morning. At least that's what Cassie thinks.

Damian woke up in the middle of the night. He finds himself in Cassie's room at a brothel. His head was so heavy, indicating the amount of alcohol he had been drinking since returning from the trial.

Cassie coiled comfortably in Damian's arms. The female body was plain, only covered in a blanket that warmed the two of them. Damian yawned slowly and then rubbed his two eyes that were still a little sad because he had just woke up.

The young man took his arms off Cassie's innocent body and got out of bed. His own body was also not wearing any clothes. Both of their clothes were on the floor of the room. I don't know how many rounds they played on that hot night. Damian can't count it. Cassie is the best at Red Lotus.

After getting dressed, Damian took out a pocket of money from his coat pocket. That's a fee for Cassie's service tonight, including her services as a witness in court. The number of gold pieces is not small. Even so Damian had already got his share of Viscountess Gausse.

Damian's out of Cassie's room and headed downstairs. The Red Lotus was already deserted at night. No one dared to go after sunset. The dark conditions out there invite dangers that no one can handle. Daemheim's threat terrorized Ponza many years ago. Everyone was terrified and did not dare to leave the house again after sunset.

Damian was actually reluctant to leave the place at midnight like this. But he has to go somewhere. Viscountess Gausse slipped a small letter in Damian's hand as they clasped each other's hands this afternoon after the trial. The letter apparently contained an invitation for Damian to come to the Viscountess mansion in secret. The client wants to pay him extra, he said.

The only way that no one would know of Damian's arrival to the newly widowed young Viscountess' residence was by traveling at midnight. Although very risky, but Damian still have to do it. The viscountess was still quite young. Damian had been holding himself back for weeks until his case was perfectly finished so as not to become a problem in the trial. Now was a good time to meet the young widow in person.
