Damian went back to his room. The shadow of death continues to haunt him. He spent the day drinking wine until he was barely conscious. Such a condition lasted for several days later. I don't know why Damian doesn't want to see tomorrow. Nightmares also continued to haunt him, making the young man's condition worse.
Once, after almost a week Damian acted unlike himself, his sister-in-law, Aurela, came to him. The woman who had been in Damian's past seemed concerned to see his condition. Damian was lying on the couch in his room. Dozens of bottles of wine scattered everywhere, making the aroma of the room filled with the smell of alcohol.
“Smpai when are you going to behave like this? Is the death of that woman that important to you? You never cared about anyone else before,”, Aurela said, sitting in front of Damian as the young man lay on the sofa with arms covering his face. He was silent, not responding to Aurela's words at all.
Aurela was silent for a moment. However, as there was no response, he continued his words. “I will file for divorce with Titus,” the woman said later.
Damian opened a little of his arm that covered his eyes, then glanced towards his sister-in-law. He sighed tired and then got up and sat on the sofa lazily.
“Don't add to the burden of my mind,” Damian said slowly, as he poured back a bottle of brandy in his empty slok.
“I'm serious, Damian. I really can't take it anymore. I would rather die than have to endure this kind of suffering,” Aurela said now beginning to sob and cry.
Damian breathed again. In the past, he might be moved immediately if he saw Aurela's tears. But now, his heart seemed to have frozen. He doesn't care about anyone anymore. It is not just those who suffer. His heart had also suffered so much that it made him this troubled. The young man then downed his liquor in one gulp. After enjoying the sensation of alcohol in his throat and tongue, he also said Aurel who had begun to interfere with the sound of his crying.
“Ya. Just do it,” Damian said short.
“You know I won't be able to do it alone. How could someone like me ever get out of this family safely. Your father, your mother, they must have insisted on keeping me alive. Maybe they'll even use my kids to threaten. I came to you because Damian was so desperate. You have to help me. Only you can do it,” Aurela said in a pleading tone.
Damian grunting. “At a time like this you just came to me. Whereas you left me without turning your head,” said the young man was sarcastic.
Aurela jerks. For a moment he stopped sobbing and then began to look down grimly. “Do you think? I. ... never wanted to marry anyone other than you, Damian. But what can we do then? We have absolutely no power, what else is power. Even until now ...,” the woman's words were cut off. Tears welled up again in her eyes, dripping slowly with a large size. “... until now .. I still love you,” concluded with a vibrating voice.
Damian. The woman sitting in front of him. I don't know when he stopped loving Aurela. More precisely, he stopped loving anyone. Damian has lost faith in women. The wounds he had felt in the past, made him choose to close his heart, and merely forge superficial relationships with others.
However, now, the person who had triggered his trauma in the past, sat down crying in front of him. Weak, sorry and suffering. Damian should have been content to see the woman who had hurt him become so devastated. Unfortunately no. Strangely, his heart felt empty, emotionless.
“I'm in no mood to take on a new case. Maybe even I will stop being a delator,” Damian said honestly.
During this time he worked as a delator solely for having great hatred in his heart, and wanted those who he thought were guilty, to receive severe punishment. However, seeing Luceila's sacrifice to him, Damian realized that his hatred was useless. There are still people who are so willing to sacrifice for him. Damian seemed to have hope in the midst of despair. Perhaps, in the future, he could truly find a person who was as sincere as he loved her. That was why he no longer wanted to nurture the hatred in his heart.
“Don't .. don't say that, Damian .. please,” Aurela suddenly moans. Both of his eyes were wide open, trembling and still crying tears. “Please ... You have to help me. If not you, I don't know who else can save me from this hell,” he continued, clenching both hands.
Damian looked at the woman, on both arms, even on her neck, appearing to be covered in bluish bruises and multiple incision wounds. Aurela has also changed a lot since the last time she was in a relationship with him. Now the woman looked tyrannical, with her eyes hanging looking exhausted. Her clean appearance was solely due to being polished by servants who had to make nobles like them look beautiful and fine before others. Even so, Damian knew, behind her beautiful tufted dress, there were countless more physical injuries. Not to mention the inner wound that Aurela had to endure. His first brother was that crazy. Damian knows.
The young man then let out a heavy sigh. “Then what about your children? You didn't give birth to them?” tanyakanya.
Aurela bowed. “Your parents won't throw away their grandchildren. The Castor family heir. They are the children of the Castor family,” muttered the woman slowly.
Damian laughs miris. “You're as crazy as my brother, apparently. The selfish woman. You mean to throw your kids away too? Truly a chaotic family,” Damian comments lay his back on the back of the sofa.
His head was still throbbing from alcohol. His body felt like it was floating. However, his mind remained sharp as usual. Damian is known as a person who has a high tolerance for liquor.
“That's because I'm involved with this family. I wouldn't go crazy if I didn't marry that horrible creature,” said Aurela grinding her teeth.
Damian gave a long sigh. The hatred in Aurela's eyes felt familiar. That was what he had felt in the past before his heart was completely shut. Seeing the expression of the brother-in-law, Damian finally felt moved. Maybe everything needs to end.
“Good. I'll take care of it. Before that, you should go back to your family's house first. You have no intention of filing for divorce while staying in this house right?” damian finally gave up.
Instead of agreeing, Aurela was trembling with fear. The woman shook her head weakly while muttering. “I have nowhere to go back. My family will definitely not accept me if I give up the status of Cartos family son-in-law. No. .. I can't go home to my house,” she said half moaning.
“So? You're still gonna stay here? You know that's impossible, right?” sergeant Damian started to bleed.
“You must take me, Damian. Please ... take me away from here,” Aurela says seriously.
Damian swerved for a few seconds. It took a while until he could finally digest Aurela's unreasonable request. “Basic crazy,” said the young man later.
