Dreamtime

In the end, Damian was able to rest alone in his room. He broke down his body which was exhausted due to a long long journey. Looking up at the ceiling, Damian thought back to Kutzo's words just now.

Indeed, he had twice experienced bad events when he met the Evil Spirit. His life is at the end of the horn. He realized that the ability of evil spirits could not be matched by ordinary people. After experiencing such near-death conditions, Kutzo's speech became more reasonable. However, is it true that mankind will become extinct because of the Deimheim attack.

“Adding my thoughts only,” muttered Damian while tilting his body on a hard cotton bed.

He slightly missed his soft mattress with goose feathers. However, that state of affairs was clearly unable to get him now. That's why Damian chose to try to sleep alone rather than dizzy thinking about the problems of mankind, or just complaining because of a hard mattress.

Due to the condition of his body that was already exhausted, Damian fell asleep quickly. At first he had not dreamed anything. His sleep was so good it was not disturbed. However, after a while, a strange dream came to him.

Damian finds himself in the Forum Ponza, a square in the middle of the city. The young man recognized the place because he had worked as a delator there several times. The forum is usually used as a judicial venue for severe criminal cases.

Many people also often pass by there so they can see firsthand the punishment given to violators of order. Not without reason the location was chosen as an open court for severe cases. The residents are expected to become daunted so that they do not do the same wrong deeds.

However, strangely enough, Damian was now standing alone in the middle of the Forum. No one seemed to be wandering around there. Though the place is the city center which is everyday crowded with residents. Because of that indecision, Damian finally decided to go around. The scorching sun dyed the city of Ponza that day.

Not even two steps Damian walked, the procession of dark clouds suddenly appeared quickly, covering the sunlight completely. Damian. Something's not right. He tried to scream, calling out to anyone who might be there. Still, there is no answer.

The young man started walking again, then ran. Anxiety suddenly appeared in his heart. Somehow the feeling became unsettled because of the dark clouds that made the atmosphere become pitch-black. Damian tried to walk to the edge of the square, but his steps were like being restrained. He realized that he would not be able to get out of the Forum.

With great effort, Damian tried to move his suddenly stiffened body. But nil. The greater the effort, the more difficult it was for him to move, even breathe. His chest turned congested, with a rush of scorching heat burning his lungs. What the hell's going on?

“It's just a dream. It must be a dream,” he said many times, trying to convince himself that the incident he experienced was just a nightmare that would subside when he woke up.

Unfortunately, instead of waking up, Damian felt more and more trapped. “If this is indeed a dream, why do I feel like my body is burning this badly,” murmured with a weak raucous voice.

“Cars.” A voice sounded inside his head.

Damian swore that he had never heard the word in his entire life. At least in his current life. However, deep in his consciousness, Damian was convinced that the voice was calling out to him.

“Si ... who?” tanyanya while pranking. The young man's body was still stiff and hard to move. But he kept trying to look around, looking for the source of the voice that called out to him.

After making his greatest efforts, Damian finally managed to turn his head. However, the forum backups have now changed completely. The square is now filled with figures of people he once harmed and convicted of Damian's false testimony. Although they were indeed people who had acted wickedly, but their punishment multiplied because of the testimony or evidence made by Damian.

There were at least dozens of female men with faces that Damian was quite familiar with. They all looked in pain, groaning and rolling on the grass land while flailing for help.

“A ... What happened? Why ... all of you ..”

Damian's words were cut off because the people's figures gradually turned dark. Their skin blackened, and their dense bodies slowly faded away, like turning into pitch-black smoke. Damian soon realizes that the people are now turning into Deimheim, a dark spirit that is after human life.

Damian tried to shout, but his voice did not come out at all. Meanwhile, the newborn Deimheim in front of him was now beginning to fly across the sky with a giant black figure with thorns. This was not his first time facing the evil spirit. However, that amount of time, plus the previous terrible events, made Damian really feel afraid.

His feet are weak. He knew there was nowhere to escape. Are those people going to take revenge on him? Turned into an evil spirit and preyed on Damian's body round and round.

Unknowingly, tears began to melt on the young man's cheeks. Damian crying. Perhaps fear had made his heart weak. Or also the guilt of having made others undergo a much heavier sentence than they should, simply because of the lure of lucrative rewards. Damian has done a lot of bad things. Manipulating others for their own sake. Is this the end for him?

Damian's body turned limp. He fell to his knees on the ground while still shedding tears. Deimheim who was there just flew around him, as if looking for the right time to prey. In the middle of the ocean, a white woman's hand was stretched out on him.

Damian took a few seconds to digest the presence of a helping hand in front of his face. He looked up to see who showed up. However, the man's face was apparently covered by an unusually blinding light and made Damian's eyes automatically closed because of it.

“Come back, Karkata,” says a voice inside Damian's head.

In the next instant, Damian had already woken up on his bed in the mansion of Baron Brutus. His body was drenched in sweat, and tears were still left on his face. Damian wakes up sitting down. His chest still feels tight. He tried to calm his breath.

“What dream was that just now?” he murmured in the middle of shock.
