For a few days later, Damian still has not decided to accept the case of Arabela or not. Even so, as my time went on, Damian's return to his family home was no longer a problem. They sat together at dinner as if nothing had happened. Even so, the tension still surrounds the Castor family residence.
Lucky Arabela doesn't seem to intend to push Damian again. As usual, Damian chose to avoid it rather than have to become irritated at remembering their last conversation. The longer Damian is the more uncomfortable he is at home. He spent much of his time in the Red Lotus with Cassie or occasionally visited the residence of Viscountess Gausse.
Darling, Damian's father finally hears bad news about his son having an illicit relationship with a noble widow. The father, who usually acts indifferent, calls Damian to his study one night. Without guessing, Damian knew immediately what the head of the Castor family would talk about.
Damian walked through the hallway to his father's office. His mother did not meet him at all because it was dissolved in sadness due to bad rumors that befell Damian. Even so Damian remained relaxed, as if he had done nothing wrong.
Arriving at his father's study, Damian knocked several times. Duke Castor's voice told him to come in. Without hesitation the young man opened the door and entered the room decorated with many gold ornaments. His father's desk was at the end of the room, close to a brightly lit fireplace.
Duke Castor was already waiting for Damian, sitting on one of the sofas that were at the door. His face looked tired, with wrinkles here and there. The brown bamboo has turned white with age.
“Sitting, Damian,” his father's orders are flat.
Damian. The young man sat on a long sofa not far from where his father was.
“I'm sure you already know why I called you here,” said the father without further ado.
Damian was silent. He did not talk much, especially to his father. Everyone knows that Duke Castor doesn't really care about his children, except Titus who will be the heir. Therefore Damian did not feel the need to be good with his father.
“I've tolerated enough of your behavior all this time. You play women in brothels, or your job as provocateurs ..”
“Delator,” error Damian cut off the father's sentence.
Duke Castor just snorted softly. “It is a lousy term to name a gossipmonger,” the comment is sarcastic.
Damian flinching. He doesn't care even if his father thinks so. His job is to look for the weaknesses of others. But he did it to punish those who deserved to be punished.
“I let you enjoy the work you adore, even though all your nonsense in court has caused a lot of chaos,” continued Duke Castor continues to bully his youngest son. “But now your attitude has been completely outrageous. You humble yourself by being in a relationship with a noble widow? A divorced woman because of your testimony. Really embarrassing.”
“She's divorced because of her jerk husband,” muttered Damian in self-defense.
“Then what's the difference with you?” hardik Duke Castor raised his voice. Damian.
“You are as stupid as that man. Enjoying someone else's wife just for your pleasure. Everyone thinks that you are the main cause of the Viscountess asking for divorce!” the father began to get angry.
“I did it after she got divorced,” said Damian lightly.
“And you're proud to do it?” sergeant Duke Castor is full of anger. “Your brothers never made a problem like this. You're the only kid who ruined our family. Are you satisfied after trampling on the Castor family's pride?
“What is less than your life? You were born into a family that controlled this territory, the son of a Duke. Even if you don't work, my wealth can keep you alive until the end of your life. You have no shortage of women, and you have a fiancee!” snapped the father wrathfully.
Damian sighed softly. “Good. I'll stop seeing that Viscountess. That's what dad wants?” challenge Damian while looking directly into his father's eyes.
The father was still staring wide. His chest up and down held back anger. Duke Castor looked at Damian as if his youngest son was the enemy he hated the most.
“Go south, Baron Brutus region. Soon there will be a debutante show for his daughter who is also your fiancee. It's the right time for you to meet him,” the Duke ordered later.
Damian. Lucelia Brutus's. That's his fiancee's name. He had never met the girl in person, even though they had sent letters. Actually Damian is not too tasteful to meet his fiancee now. That girl is five years younger than Damian. And what could Damian expect from such a little boy.
However, the atmosphere in his house is also not very conducive. He understands his father's orders solely to diffuse rumors about Damian in the city. Therefore the father ordered him to go to a faraway area on the outskirts. It seemed like it was the only way this time. Damian also wanted to calm down. He also agreed to his father's advice.
“Good, Dad. I'll be leaving soon tomorrow morning,” Damian said later.
The father just stared intently at Damian. “Make sure you don't make trouble there,” his father's wrath is serious.
“Good, Dad. Then I go,” said Damian then stood up from his seat and then stepped away from the workspace of the father.
The next morning, according to his father's orders, Damian prepared to go to the Baron Brutus region in the south. He got up early to prepare all his needs. Twelve knights of the Castor family escorted him along with a coachman and a luxurious horse carriage.
Damian's mother finally found her son and sobbed in Damian's arms. The mother looked so heavy to take Damian away.
“My son, why did you do such a stupid thing to the point that your father could have kicked you out of the house,” lamented Madame Castor tearfully. Damian's new coat got wet because his mother was crying in his arms.
“Mother, father didn't kick me out. My fiancee is about to make a debutante. Of course I have to come,” replied Damian steadfastly.
“But the forging is very far away Nak. No one had ever traveled that far even with the knights. That Deimheim .. Evil spirits can catch you. Don't go, Damian. Let the Brutus family's daughter be sent here.” The Duchess continued to wail while sobbing.
“I'll be fine, Mother. I promise to be back safely soon.” Damian continued to persuade.
Finally after an hour or so Mrs Castor whined, Damian managed to escape. He set out with knights and a luxurious golden-white chariot. No one has heard of Damian's departure. Just his mother. While his father and brothers did not see the trunk of his nose.
