CHAPTER 10: Rise Up

Jormac and Fisa are getting ready for action on their investigative mission. They prepared the necessary equipment, including two-way communication, small arms, and clothing suitable for disguise.

Fisa prepares to investigate the fake police station, while Jormac will focus on the office where he works. They looked at each other for a moment, understanding the importance of the task they were about to undertake, albeit at risk.

"Remember, we have to be vigilant and careful" Fisa said seriously.

Jormac nodded, "I understand. We'll investigate everything carefully."

After last checking their equipment, Jormac and Fisa parted ways and began their respective investigation missions.

Jormac goes about his workday at the office as usual, but his worries begin to grow when he is called upon by Mr. Thompson for no apparent reason. Behind the hard layers that Jormac had built up within him, he was able to understand that this situation could become a serious problem.

When he was in Mr. Thompson, the atmosphere is tense. The man wasted no time and immediately asked a very important question, "So far is your knowledge of the 1000x Nuclear organization, and why are they letting you out of jail?"

Jormac, with a slight tone of disdainful laughter, asked Mr. Thompson, "Are you also involved in the 1000x Nuclear organization? And to what extent is your knowledge of Spirit Energy?"

This question made Mr. Thompson was shocked and alert. He immediately moved towards the closet drawer, trying to grab something. However, before he could do anything, Jormac, who had expected this reaction, quickly kicked Mr.'s head. Thompson.

"I didn't expect that you would involve so many innocent people in a 1000x Nuclear organization without their knowledge" Jormac said, pointing out that he would not be silent about the plot.

Mr. Thompson tried to get back up after being kicked by Jormac, but before he could do anything, Jormac opened the closet drawer and took out a gun that was inside. Steadily, Jormac pointed the gun at Mr. Thompson.

Seeing his subordinates perform this unexpected action, Mr. Thompson was angry and threatened Jormac. He promised to get her out of her job immediately, report her to the police, and throw her in jail.

However, Jormac laughed out loud at the threat. He said in a scornful tone, "You know, Mr. Thompson, I'm not your subordinate anymore. I'm gonna resign from this rotten office." Then, Jormac seemed to retract his words, "Ups, not so. Maybe it's better to destroy it than to resign."

At that time, Mr. Thompson realizes that he is in a very vulnerable position, confronted by a Jormac who has turned into someone very different and dangerous.

Jormac, coldly and mercilessly, fired the gun at Mr. Thompson. The sound of gunfire accompanied by silencers made it almost inaudible. Mr. Thompson collapsed on the spot, and the room was instantly filled with a tense atmosphere.

After killing his own superiors, Jormac felt satisfied by his boredom all along. He planned to continue his actions by killing everyone inside the office. All the bullets he needed were already in the drawer of the closet he had opened before, and he took all the spare bullets.

Things get dark and gripping in the office, with Jormac continuing to do his horrible act. All those in the office bear silent witness to the madness and violence perpetrated by Jormac.

Jormac, who had turned into a very evil and cruel person, felt that he was on the verge of a terrible resurrection. He who used to be a bad person, has now surpassed the limits of his previous crimes.

Upon realizing his transformation, Jormac laughed out loud as if feeling satisfaction over the drastic change in him. Terrible satisfaction, as a result of the buildup of dissatisfaction and unhappiness that had long been buried in him.

After being satisfied with his ruthless actions, Jormac decides to investigate his own office. He has free access to the various data and information that is in the office, and he will not be hindered by anyone. In his quest to uncover the truth behind the 1000x Nuclear and Spirit Energy organization, he is ready to do whatever it takes, even if it means plunging deeper into the newly discovered world of darkness.

However, in the middle of Jormac who was engrossed in his investigation suddenly suffered a very severe headache attack. He cried out in pain, as if his brain was being ripped apart by something from within that was invisible. That excruciating pain made him in pain and moaning in discomfort.

Shortly thereafter, Jormac dies and falls unconscious in the middle of his quiet office, temporarily halting all plans to investigate further.

In the dreamworld, Jormac meets another himself, whom Fisa refers to as his "dad" self." The two selves spoke to each other, full of questions and doubts. They wondered which of them was the real one, but no one knew for sure.

On the one hand, there is the naive self of Jormac and continues to feel boredom, seeking meaning in kindness and honesty. On the other hand, there is the self of Jormac who has felt satisfaction in evil deeds, committed many sins, and pursued desires indiscriminately.

In a dream full of questions, each of Jormac's selves kept asking who was the real one among them. Yet, again, only doubt arose within them, no one could give a definitive answer.

A moment after that doubt, their bodies suddenly fused with each other, as if Jormac's good self was the positive axis, and Jormac's evil self was the negative axis. The two fused harmoniously, creating a new, neutral Jormac self. It is a moment of unification between the two divided sides of Jormac, creating harmony and balance within him.

Jormac felt like he was being reborn in his original neutral form. He was a cruel and crazy person, yet still had a hint of kindness in it. With a very comfortable feeling, he felt as if his head was resting on a very soft pillow.

When she opened her eyes, she realized that she was inside the hut in the middle of the forest again with Fisa. The feeling was very different from before, more balanced and focused.

Fisa who turned out to be very close to him asked in a worried tone, "How are you feeling, Jormac?"

Jormac smiled faintly. "I feel better now, Fisa. I've found a balance within myself."

Although Jormac was surprised that Fisa gave her own thigh as a pillow, he did not want to think about it further.
