CHAPTER 17: Strategist 2/5

Harley Jaw sat in front of her laptop, focusing on the task given to her by Fisa and Jormac. He was engrossed in playing his laptop, while analyzing the two flash drives that had been given by Fisa. For starters, he decided to analyze the yellow flash. Cleverly, he stuffed the flash into his laptop and began to explore its contents.

However, Harley found it rather difficult while trying to explore the contents of the yellow flash. Its security is almost comparable to that of a state secret document, with a security system that has three layers. Breaking one layer takes a lot of time.

He complained for a moment, hoping that his equipment left behind in the local cyber community would ease this task. However, he had no choice but to continue trying to hack into this security system.

Then Harley tried to open the file using a third-party app called "Open File," though it was time-consuming. However, since there was no other choice, he continued to put in effort. "It's too weak" Harley said, realizing that even if she managed to open the file with the app, the security layer would still be two and a half layers that were hard to penetrate.

Not giving up, Harley tried a second approach by inserting a virus called "Leak Spoiler" into the yellow flash. The virus was designed to try to leak data from files without opening them directly. Harley realized that this might go to waste, but he wanted to see how far the Leak Spoiler virus could penetrate the complex layer of security.

Harley laughed bitterly at the sight that the Leak Spoiler virus he created only managed to penetrate a quarter layer of file security. Even though he had tried two different ways, the results had not been enough to penetrate even a single layer of full security.

When Harley was thinking hard to figure out how to penetrate the files on the yellow flash, her laptop suddenly gave a warning that someone had touched her red suitcase. This caused him to panic, and he immediately contacted Fisa and Jormac to ask for clarification.

Fisa asked, "What's up, Harley?"

Harley replied, "Eh?! I thought you guys got my suitcase."

Jormac also asked, "What do you mean?"

"My laptop gave me a warning sign, which means someone touched my suitcase. But it seems I was wrong to think that you guys had managed to bring my suitcase," Harley replied as she explained.

Hearing Harley's explanation, Jormac and Fisa realize that her red suitcase is not safe, and the situation becomes increasingly complicated.

When Fisa found out that they were late, she said her harsh words. However, Jormac who remained calm asked Harley if she had put a tracker on the suitcase. Harley replied that her tracker was off, probably due to a crash at the airport on her way to New York.

Jormac continued to ask, "Can you reactivate it?"

Harley explained, "Oh, if there's no signal wave, it's going to be very difficult."

"Right now Fisa and I are in the old tower where we met. We'll be there soon" said Jormac.

Hearing this, Harley gave a suggestion, "There is only one way to activate it, please sacrifice one of the communication tools between the two of you."

"Huh? Whatchu mean?" ask Fisa.

Harley explained, "In the communication device there is a chip that can emit waves. Unfortunately, the chip can only be activated at close range, and that's the only way to revive the tracker on my red suitcase."

Fisa and Jormac now understand, they must sacrifice one of their communication tools to activate the tracker on Harley's red suitcase.

Fisa offers her communication tools and asks Jormac to disassemble them. Time goes on, and they must immediately activate the tracker on Harley's red suitcase. Jormac receives a communication device from Fisa and begins to hold it.

Then Harley said, "I'll give you instructions on how to disassemble it, so listen carefully, Jormac!"

Harley gave instructions on how to dismantle it, and Jormac listened carefully, ready to follow the instructions.

After being given a few pointers by Harley, Jormac followed the directions carefully, then pressed down on the end of the communication device and opened it from the middle.

After dismantling the communication device, Jormac noticed many small wires inside, but there was no sign of the chip being intended by Harley.

"I've unpacked it, then what now?" ask Jormac.

Harley gave the next command "Take out all the small wires, they shouldn't be attached to each other. If you find a cable that's bigger than the others, then inside that cable there'll be a chip that's useful for emitting waves."

Jormac followed Harley's instructions and began removing all the tiny wires from the communications device. He tried to inspect each cable, looking for one that was larger than the others, because that was what was expected to contain a chip to emit waves.

Fisa watched Jormac with a serious look as she searched for the cable that Harley meant. He felt that Jormac looked very focused and terrible when he was really serious about doing something.

After a while later, Jormac managed to find the cable that Harley was referring to and immediately reported it enthusiastically. "I found the cable, Harley!" yells.

Harley gave his next instruction, "Good, now separate the cable from the small chip, please be careful!"

Jormac tried patiently to get a small chip out of the cable, and eventually, he managed to do so. A green chip with very small copper contacts was visible in his hand. The size of the chip was so small that it did not even meet the tip of Jormac's index finger.

"Good job, Jormac! Now I can track the whereabouts of my red suitcase. Please wait a minute!" praise Harley while appreciating Jormac's efforts.

"Yes, alright," Jormac replied with a small smile.

Harley noticed that the warning about the touch to her suitcase had not disappeared from the laptop screen. He decided to shrink the warning and focus on tracking his red suitcase.

Then he opened an app called "MAP, MAPS!" which has been modified to allow continuous updating of map conditions. The app will always display the current state of the map within a period of one day, utilizing signal waves to update that information.

Using a small chip that had been removed from Fisa's communication device, Harley tried to emit a signal wave closer to his red suitcase.

After 45 seconds had passed, the tracker on Harley's red suitcase was finally reactivated. Harley tracked the whereabouts of the suitcase through her laptop and was surprised to learn that it was still around the local cyber community area.

He told Jormac and Fisa that the suitcase was still in place of the local cyber community, but he also warned them to be careful, as the situation may not be safe.

Jormac responded seriously, "We'll be careful, Harley. Thanks for the help."

Harley asserted, "I will continue to give you the latest news about the suitcase. Please keep coordinating well, and don't be too rash."

"I understand" said Jormac.
