Spirit Energy

Spirit Energy
Chapter 6: Life in the Office

Jormac returned to work as usual after a very unusual few days. He tries to live out his routine, though now he has an even greater burden: helping Fisa uncover the mystery behind the 1000x Nuclear Organization and clear both of their names.

One day, while he was busy working in the office, his immediate supervisor, Mr. Thompson, call him into his room. Jormac felt immediately anxious when he knew this was no ordinary meeting. Was Mr. Thompson know something?

Jormac entered the superior room carefully. "You're calling me, sir?" ask her doubtfully.

Mr. Thompson, a bald-headed man in a neat suit, looked at Jormac sharply. "Yes, Jormac" he answered seriously. "I wonder why you've been skipping work without news for almost a week. This isn't the behavior I'd expect from an employee."

Jormac felt silent for a moment. How should he answer this question without telling Mr. Thompson about the complicated situation? He felt confused and anxious.

"I'm sorry, sir," said Jormac, hesitating at last. "There's something urgent I have to deal with. But now, everything is fine, and I'm ready to work as usual."

Mr. Thompson looked at Jormac doubtfully. "I hope so, Jormac. This is the first warning. Employees who cannot present themselves for no apparent reason will face consequences."

Jormac nodded quickly. "I'm really sorry, sir. It won't happen again."

Inwardly, Jormac thought, "I must be careful in keeping this secret. I can't let this work interfere with the bigger tasks I'm going with Fisa."

"I understand, please get back to work!" Mr. Thompson gave the order.

Then Jormac replied firmly, "Okay!"

After leaving the room Mr. Thompson, Jormac decided to focus on two things: organizing graphic data on his computer screen and finding out about all the oddities that occur in the office where he works.

He realized that he had to be very careful in carrying out his work without attracting unnecessary attention. That means he should avoid complaining and try to act as if everything is normal. It was not an easy task, but he knew that this was an important part of their plan.

After a few hours of work, Jormac felt more comfortable with his routine. He meticulously arranged the graphical data on his computer screen, as if nothing was happening out there. However, under her calm appearance, she was still figuring out about the oddity that could lead them to the clues they needed.

He began to search the office more closely, looking for signs that the 1000x Nuclear Organization had investigated this place or left certain traces. However, to date, nothing seems suspicious. Everything looks like business as usual.

He chooses to keep his distance and aloof, often ignoring the gathered invitations of the others. Office parties, social gatherings, or even lunch together, are not all that interesting to Jormac. He prefers to focus on his work and keep the secrecy of the plan he is designing with Fisa.

This is why when he skipped work for one week, only his boss, Mr. Thompson, who noticed it. For his other colleagues, Jormac is a figure who is always alone and not too socialized. No one questioned his whereabouts during that one week.

Although this isolation can feel lonely, Jormac knows that it is the price he must pay to protect himself.

Fisa, from the beginning, was always talking very minimally. When he told Jormac to investigate the office where Jormac worked, he gave no clues or further information on what to look for. It made Jormac feel very difficult.

Jormac tried to ask Fisa, but the answer from the woman was always very short and mysterious. All this adds to Jormac's perplexity. Even to this day, he still does not fully understand what Fisa thinks or what the motives behind Fisa's actions are.

Fisa's decision to force her to stay at his home is also a mystery to Jormac. He had no idea what Fisa expected of him, and his threat to return him to a fake police station if he broke the rules also always hung over his head.

All this made Jormac feel like he was walking on a thin rope, without a safety net. However, in her heart, she knew that she had little choice but to obey Fisa's orders.

Jormac, feeling that time was approaching the end of the day, decided to finish his last job before returning home to Fisa. He felt frustrated at not finding any clues throughout the day, and the mystery around the task given by Fisa was getting even more curious.

As he opened the search site on his computer, he was shocked to see the inscription "Spirit Energy" written there. Jormac felt confused because he knew he had never typed or searched for such a thing on his search site. This was the first time he had seen something so strange and incompatible with what he was working on.

Jormac's mind began to spin, trying to relate this to all the information he had learned from Fisa. Is this a hidden clue given by Fisa? Or did anyone try to contact or intimidate Jormac through his computer? All of those questions simply popped up, and Jormac felt increasingly entangled in the increasingly complicated mysteries.

Jormac began to ponder about his own life while working in the office. He knew that he had no close friends or co-workers. He always chose to be alone, avoiding the gathering invitation of the others. Even when he skipped work for a week, only the bosses noticed it.

The large, secluded office building gives him the freedom to work without distractions, but also makes him feel like an unnoticed person. This thought made him even more alert. If he was not in the office, anyone who might join the 1000x Nuclear organization could act freely without suspicion by his other colleagues.

This made Jormac even more convinced that there was something strange and dangerous behind this whole situation. And the "Spirit Energy" information that appears on his computer is just one small clue in this increasingly complicated puzzle.

After finding a strange clue about "Spirit Energy" on his computer, Jormac decides to end his job at the office and go home. He felt that this was important information that needed to be reported to Fisa.
