CHAPTER 14: Hacker Search 3/3

"Yo, Harley Jaw, what's it like to be a small-scale fugitive?" he said while throwing a cynical smile. In an unfriendly tone, Jormac greets a small female figure who is thought to be Harley Jaw.

Jormac sees Harley Jaw sitting in front of his laptop, busy with her job as a hacker. As Jormac approached him and spoke, Harley Jaw quickly closed her laptop and focused on the person calling her.

Hearing the sudden greeting, Harley Jaw looked surprised and immediately put herself in a more alert position. He asked Jormac suspiciously, "How did you get here?"

Jormac chuckled and tried to ease the tension. "Just relax, Harley Jaw. I'm on your side" he said, trying to convince Harley Jaw. Then he smiled as he told Harley Jaw his experience before entering the old tower, "At that time, I was confronted by three guards in strange clothes. They seem to think I'm a threat."

Harley Jaw was a little surprised to hear the story. He could not believe that the three guards he had paid dearly could be passed easily by Jormac.

Then Jormac explained to Harley Jaw that he managed to get through the three guards with a very simple method, which is to walk directly through the front door. He explains that he pretended to be someone who wanted to join them and says that he was the one Harley Jaw was looking for. It made the guards not think twice about letting him in.

It was true that Harley Jaw paid the three stupid guards dearly, but even so, she actually did not care much because Jormac himself said that he was on the same side as himself.

"Yes, whatever. Talk as you please and I'll consider it" said Harley Jaw. As if wanting to know what Jormac wanted, he had also prepared himself.

"It should have been like that" replied Jormac.

Jormac begins his story in great detail, telling his experiences in prison. He explained how the conditions inside the prison were so harsh and violent. The most difficult part for him was the feeling of being confined and limited, without access to the outside world.

He also tells about how he was found and saved by Fisa. For Jormac, it was a pivotal moment in his life, when he felt there was a new hope and purpose.

Jormac did not hide his gratitude to Fisa and admitted that without him, he might have lost his mind in that prison.

While telling the story, Jormac engages Harley on his journey, making him feel like he has been inside a prison cell with Jormac.

Harley Jaw listens intently to Jormac's story of his experiences in a tormented prison and how he was saved by Fisa. After hearing the story, Harley Jaw spoke, "So, what do you want, Jormac? Why are you on my side?"

Jormac replied that he wanted access to extensive information, and for that, he needed the help of a reliable hacker like Harley Jaw. He also reveals that he is on Harley Jaw's side because he realizes that Harley Jaw is a fugitive, just like him.

However, in that answer, Harley Jaw began to smile cynically with deep evil. "You are the victim of my pranks, Jormac," he said in a mysterious tone.

In a sincere tone, Jormac replied, "No, I'm not crazy. I want to thank you, Harley Jaw." He continued, "You've leaked the government's secrets about Spirit Energy, and it has invited the 1000x Nuclear organization to get back on the move. Without the secret information leaked out, I would continue to feel bored and never feel satisfaction. So, thanks for your pranks."

Harley Jaw was silent for a moment, seemingly shocked by Jormac's reaction. "You really are someone strange," he said in a flat tone.

The smiling Jormac replied, "I have always been weird since my parents divorced. But that's what makes me like this."

Harley Jaw only nodded briefly, then with glittering eyes, she said, "I don't care about your problems. All I care about now is to be number one, the number one hacker in the world."

Hearing those words, Jormac retorted excitedly, "Your ambition has no bounds, Harley Jaw. Even when you become number one, there is always a chance that you will be defeated by the bottom number. You have to go beyond your own limits and survive in such conditions. That's what's gonna make you stronger."

With a bold offer, Jormac explained further, "I want you as a vast source of information. Together, we can gather the knowledge we need. Me and my partner, Fisa, will act according to that information, while you can stay behind the scenes and utilize your hacking skills. Do you want to try, Harley Jaw?"

Harley Jaw listened to Jormac's offer with interest. To him, Jormac's strangeness was the path to the top as number one. With a mysterious smile, Harley Jaw accepted Jormac's offer. "Well, I accepted the offer. But keep in mind, Jormac, don't ever try to get in my way. We will work together, but we can also be enemies of each other. You agree?"

Jormac nodded firmly. Their deal has been made, and the two realize that working together will not always be easy. But with the same ambition, they are ready to face whatever is to come.

Then Jormac and Harley Jaw grabbed each other's hands, marking the beginning of their new partnership. Jormac felt a rough touch from Harley Jaw's hand, reminding him that the world of hacking doesn't just belong to men.

"Greetings, I'm Harley Jaw, a hacker who wants to be number one. You can call me Harley!"

Harley Jaw introduced herself even though Jormac already knew her name, then Jormac replied by introducing her real name. "Greetings, Harley. My name is Jormac Seil, call me Jormac. I'm the freak who's gonna make you the number one hacker in the world" Jormac said.

Hearing Jormac's words, Harley chuckled and let out a genuine smile as she said "Don't let me down, because a girl will be hurt so much if she feels disappointed."

As Harley Jaw laughed and delivered her message, Jormac smiled widely. "Don't worry, Harley, I don't intend to let you down. We will make this world a place for unprecedented wonders."

With their sincere smiles, their new partnership is formed, and they are ready to face the challenges that lie ahead of them.

Both have big goals and the same ambitions, and when their hands come together, they know that they will work together to achieve glory.
