David frowned not feeling Lily's embrace anymore, he only found Eta who kept the file on the table.
"Eta."
"Young Master, sorry to interrupt. I saved the file that Holland gave me."
"Where's Lily?"
"It's downstairs."
"Send him here." David went to the bathroom.
"Young Master."
David turned. "What's wrong?"
"Mrs Dena is here."
David looked shocked, but said nothing. David hints at Eta to get out, while she goes to the bathroom first. There David washed his face, staring at the look of himself in the mirror. His mother came, and David knew he would definitely interfere.
David did not hate Dena, he was only disappointed with her because it was so easy to forget the Papa who had died. Dena married again and had a child, then lived in America and forgot about her who was in the Asian Continent.
Preparing for what was to happen, David went downstairs. His eyes were round looking at Oma and Lily who looked cornered by Dena.
"Mama."
"Oh, My Boy," said Dena, stretching out her arms and running around, hugging David. "My Baby Boy, I miss you soo much."
David didn't return the hug, he just let go. "Mama, what are you doing here? (Mama, what are you doing here?)"
Dena is still attached to her American spelling tone. "I came to see you, I heard you got married. And you didn't invite Mama? (I came to see you, Mama heard you got married. And you didn't invite Mama?)"
"We'll talk later, in the meantime don't bother my wife Oma or Lily" David said past Dena and approached two of her prized women. He rubbed Lily's head. "Bring Oma into her room, I'll catch up."
"David" said Oma.
"Oma, this is not the time to argue. Go to the room, David's coming."
Lily did so, she took Oma to the second floor exactly to the room.
Leaving David who was walking towards the living room followed Dena from behind.
"Wait for me, David. My child, wait for Mama. You're walking so fast. (Wait for me, David. My son, wait for Mama. You walk fast.)"
David paused for a moment when he knew Dena was silent. "Hurry up, Mama, you are wasting my time. (Hurry up, Mama, you're wasting my time.)"
Dena grumbled, "That's not polyte, you should have welcomed me, after all, this is my house, your father gave it to me. (That's rude, you should have welcomed Mama's arrival, after all this is my house, your father gave it to Mama.)"
"Yes, if you don't remarry, you even get married three days after Papa died. (Yes, if Mama doesn't remarry, even Mama got married three days after Papa died.)"
Dena chuckles, she returns to speaking Indonesian to remind David of his happy childhood in Jakarta with his parents.
Dena sat on the sofa in front of David.
"Why is Mama coming?"
"Mama heard you got married, Mama was shocked, Mama's eating came."
"Why care? Isn't it when I'm sick that Mama doesn't care?"
Dena hid the look on her upset face, she cleared her throat. "David, Mama wants what's best for you."
"Then go home to America, Mama, take care of your children there. My life is good here."
"Not with an ugly, stupid wife like her."
"His name is Lily, she's my wife and she's not ugly nor stupid" David said. "Stop demeaning or degrading Oma, Mama is not who here."
"David!"
"Back, Mama. Go back to America and take care of your son."
Dena was silent, showing clearly what the woman wanted.
David took a breath. "I've already sent money to the account, Mama. That's enough until next year's Christmas."
"Mommy's tired, Mama wants to stay here. Aren't there a lot of empty rooms? Why are you so stingy."
David was silent for a moment, he did not turn his eyes away from the face of the woman who often left him after his father died.
"Just a few days."
"Well," said Dena standing up. "But Mama is free to do anything, because this is your home, and you are my son. So, Mama's entitled to this house."

Lily did not stop rubbing Oma's back, Lily clearly saw Oma was sad. And so, Lily hugged Oma from the side to warm the old woman's body.
"Oma don't be sad, Lily will be here accompanying Oma."
Oma smiled, she rubbed Lily's cheeks that were hugging her. "Thank you, Lila."
Lily did not dare to correct, she chose to smile and be silent.
"Lila?"
"Yes, Oma?"
"Don't listen to anything she says yes, you're David's wife. You're going to have her son, her daughter, you're going to be David's wife forever."
Lily nodded. "Lily understands, Oma."
Lily nodded slowly.
Oma took a deep breath, she held onto Lily's hand that was holding her. Oma's eyes stared upwards, as if recalling an event that had passed.
"Dena's not a good woman, not Oma's bad-tempered, but that's the fact." Oma swallowed her saliva heavily. "He loved another man with my son, until my son died and he abandoned David. Several times David was invited to America, but there he was also not taken care of. Making Oma take him back to Indonesia by force."
Lily silently listened.Â
"Oma's upset she's coming, she's definitely going to affect David."
"I won't be affected, Oma," said David, arriving in.
Lily took off her embrace as David closed the door.
"He's gone?" Ask Oma.
"Mama's gonna stay, Oma."
Oma looks obviously sad and lazy.
"Just for a few days, Oma. He'll be home soon. Don't worry, he won't do anything."
"You don't know how your mother."
David shook his head, he sat down next to Oma. Oma is being escorted by David and Lily.
"I know, Oma. That's why I'm gonna make it home soon, or stay at the hotel."
"It's good that way."
Silently David looked at Lily who rubbed Oma's hand.
"I asked Eta to bring lunch. I haven't eaten in Oma's room in a long time" said David, making Oma recall the past when David was very comfortable living in Oma's room.
"Okay, we're having lunch together here."
As expected, Eta came with a lot of food.
That afternoon, Lily, David and Oma had lunch while watching TV in Oma's room. While chatting lightly, until finally arguing because Oma wanted to watch Chibi Maruko Chan, while David wanted to watch the Western series.Â
Until Lily beat her voice slowly, "Why not watch a dangdut show? Show us love Indonesia."

Since Dena's arrival, Lily seems to have lost her happy hue. And David realized that. Usually, Lily is embarrassed when she wears her husband clothes, now she is not. His mind seemed to be floating thinking of something.
The two of them had taken a shower and were preparing for dinner.
"What did Mama tell you?"
"Nothing."
"Don't lie." David covers Lily's cheeks. "Don't listen to what he's saying, just believe what's coming out of my mouth, okay?"
Lily nodded in understanding. "I understand."
"Good, because you're smart, I reward you with a kiss. Come here." Come here."
Embarrassed, Lily approached and gave a kiss on David's lips.
"Already, let's go downstairs and have dinner. Don't be afraid, I'm right next to you. You're my wife."
"I understand."
With their hands clasped together, Lily and David went downstairs.Â
David frowned not seeing Oma.
"Eta, where's Oma?"
"Mrs Big is sleepy, she's eating dinner first."
"He's not sick, is he?" Ask David.
"No, Sir."
At the dinner table, there was no one. Which makes Lily a little relieved, because she thought Dena would have dinner in the room.
However, the truth is that Dena appeared from the front door.
"David Iaaang." said Dena excitedly, he sprinted small towards David.
"What's up, Mama?"
"Remember Mama saying that you have a daughter-in-law for you?"
Lily lowered.
"Mama, stop this."
"No, no. Mama has chosen a beautiful and educated woman of quality for your wife and the future mother of your child, she is outside. Just sec. Hey babe! Come in and meet your future husband!"
Not too long later a woman with high heels entered, and Lily could not sound her shock. "Megan?"
Dena clapped her hands cheerfully. "She's your future wife, Mama's been reading her life history. She's perfect for carrying your child rather than the village woman in front of you."
