Chapter 2
Family history
It is mentioned in the history books that the great and mighty Stellin IX was very concerned with the life of the people. From his childhood, he would disguise himself as a commoner and start surveying and begin to understand the plight of the people and their social castes. He hates greedy nobles and corrupt officials who explore the wealth of the people. When he was 16 years old, he was sent to attend the noble academy by his father.
During the four years he spent there, Prince Karjad absorbed all sorts of knowledge and experiences of his ancestors like dry sponges and built a foundation of knowledge that far exceeded any other. He had also never attended such a lavish party hosted by those noble descendants.
Stellin IX later mentioned that the four years he spent in the noble academy illuminated him about the crisis facing the kingdom that could only be corrected through reform. But back then, he was young and even though he had the desire to do so, he did not know where to start.
So, Karjad decides to go on a trip to the continent of Freia to see how the fate of other kingdoms.
After the next four years, Karjad had traveled around most of the continent and met quite a number of like-minded friends, such as Premier Ironblood, Duke Laust Rin Diggins, Invincible Commander Dubok Man Bengkin, and the most famous of them all, Judge Ironfaced Marquis Verdigar Mor Fux and a reliable advertisement of the capable Minister of Finance, Count Kell Jack Ferman. They were the ones who formed the cornerstone during the three decades of the golden age of the kingdom.
Prince Karjad who had returned to the kingdom met with his father, Stellin VIII, and suggested some policies for reform. However, the sickly king had no interest in it and only gave him a mission to examine the various garrison troops throughout the kingdom to expel him from the palace.
Despite his failed attempts, the prince did not give up. He rode all over the kingdom with his horse. When he reorganizes the garrison forces, he punishes the corrupt and greedy by strictly enforcing the law while spreading the word of his plans to reform the kingdom, his reputation among free citizens and merchants skyrocketed once again and built a foundation that helped secure his last victory during the civil war.
But when he returned to the capital two years later, Karjad did not get the chance to try to convince his father again, as Stellin VIII had already said. What followed was a power struggle between Elenia and Aunass for the throne.
Karjad knew that with his low status, there was no way he could have a place on the throne. No one from the royal nobility would support an illegitimate child like him being king. So, he could only try his best to appease his two half-brothers in the hope that they would work together to solve the kingdom's problems.
His unrelenting fight annoyed the other two. "Although you are a prince and the name of our brother, think about your own standing. Do you really think you should interfere in our affairs?" both echoes. So, they only found an excuse to send him away from the capital so that he did not disturb the two during their struggle.
When Karjad left the capital, he was like a fish swimming freely in the sea. Back then, the once reckless playboy, Laust Rin Diggins, went to the prince to join him on horseback all night. It was that night when the prince and the future prime minister of the kingdom spoke at length and reiterated the prince's desire to also compete for the throne.
However, Prince Karjad did not think that his actions would cause Princess Elenia and Prince Aunass to be so wary of him. The foolish baron of Whitestag City leads his army to execute orders from the royal capital, forcing the unprepared prince to a power struggle to have little choice but to fire the first round that sparks resistance.
After that came the occupation of the Whitestag City and the recruitment of a firearm brigade. The Auerasian civil war has begun. At first, Princess Elenia turned completely to Prince Aunass and fought with him in the royal capital. Prince Karjad on the other hand cleared all the land nobles with his new army and captured the officials serving the other two factions in the capital. Soon, the supporters of Elenia and Aunass were forced to reconcile and fight Karjad, whose military influence only increased by the day. During that time, Karjad suffered many lost battles and had to retreat to three southwestern prefectures.
After defeating Karjad's forces, who were heading towards the capital, Elenia and Aunass did not chase the retreating forces and instead turned against each other once again. Karjad on the other hand used the opportunity to gather more troops from the three southwestern provinces to rebuild his forces. Thanks to the support of the free citizens and merchants, Karjad did not fall after the lost battle, but stood stronger than ever and finally gained the final victory.
In the end, the fate of Princess Elenia was exiled to Nasri before dying of an illness in the Syik Kingdom, north of the continent. Prince Aunass on the other hand was killed by stray bullets on the battlefield and his remaining troops and subordinates survived for four months thanks to Duke Brant, the leader of the land nobility, who was the leader of the royal family, it was eventually besieged on the banks of a river near Amsson and destroyed. Duke Brant ended his own life after his defeat and the other nobles were sent to the gallows or exiled from the kingdom.
Because the banners representing the authority of Princess Elenia, Prince Aunass and Prince Karjad were blue, yellow, and purple, respectively, the struggle for power and civil war came to be known in the history books of Aueras as the Tricolour Conflict, or the blue, yellow and purple wars among the people.

Back during the occupation of Whitestag City, after the prince had recruited a firearm brigade, he recalled the fighters who had entered the Rodeman Mansion and decided to fulfill his vow.
What he did not think was that among the approximately ten warriors who had managed to enter the mansion, only one and a half had survived. One of them was lightly injured while the other was barely alive and could only be considered half alive.
In the presence of all his subordinates, the prince gently asked the injured about his wishes. He promised to fulfill it if it was within his capabilities.
The wounded soldier was completely touched and his eyes shone brightly when a path of light appeared in front of him. He coughed twice before opening his mouth, but no words came out of him. He had stopped breathing before that. How unfortunate .
Everyone's gazes then turned to the other remaining survivors. It was very clear that he would be bestowed by the prince, being the only one still alive, so the prince would not default on his words.
"What's your name?" asked the prince gently as he turned towards the shivering soldier. He knew that most commoners who had never seen much behaved like that before.
In the ancient Hez language, Ferd means farm or farmer. People who use that surname are usually born to farmers. Habis Ferd was none other than Claude Ferd's late grandfather and he could be considered the founder of the current Ferd family.
However, Claude's father, the Whitestag City chief secretary, Morssen Ferd, always seemed upset whenever his own father was mentioned. He had always regretted his late father who had wasted such an opportunity by leaving his precious jewels and magical equipment untouched and instead left after taking the gold coins from the ground.

He had always regretted his late father who had wasted such an opportunity by leaving his precious jewels and magical equipment untouched and instead left after taking the gold coins from the ground.
"Soldier! Show respect to Your Majesty!" shouted a prince guard.
"Don't worry," said Karjad with a wave of his hand, not thinking about the small details, "Don't feel nervous, Habis Ferd. You are a fighter. If it wasn't for your sacrifice and the other heroes, we wouldn't have gotten this victory. Tell me, what do you want? I'll give it to you. Or do you want another? I will be able to fulfill all your wishes. "
"Had your grandfather become a little smarter or more aware, all he had to do was ask His Majesty to give him a middle name and we were already nobles," Morssen Ferd lamented before his family often. Every time he reached that point of the story, Morssen would be at the tipping point of his anger. He wanted nothing more than to reverse the flow of time and take over the position of his grandfather before the prince.
In the continent of Freia, the most noticeable difference between commoners and nobles is the extra middle name, known as nicknames. It could be considered a surname passed down by the noble house. One would not be able to pretend to be a noble just by adding another word in the middle of the name. Noble Sobriquets come with certification documents and can survive scrutiny.
For example, the man who eventually became the prime minister of the kingdom, Laust Rin Diggins, had 'Rin' in the middle of his surname and was given. That means that one of his ancestors was a knight who expanded the kingdom's territory into the wild and got Rin's middle name as a gift, which can be verified from the records. Duke was once a descendant of the House branch family of Rin Diggins and was quite a famous playboy. But ever since he helped Prince Karjad ascend to the throne, he served the kingdom for over 30 years and was made an honorary duke.
In the Kingdom of Aueras, one could tell from the moment a name like 'Morssen Ferd' was mentioned that the others were ordinary people. That way, other people can talk and act more freely towards him. But someone who calls themselves Laust Rin Diggins will allow even those who do not recognize him to know that he is a noble who deserves respect and care.
That's why Claude's father dreamed of having a middle name. To him, it represented a very bright future. With one more word in her name, she would no longer be the chief secretary of a small town. Instead, he could be mayor, councilor, or even prefectural prefect. Being promoted to a higher rank would no longer be his dream.
However, time will not flow backward. Morssen's father, Dismissed, would not know how badly his son would lament his folly in the future. Otherwise, he would have shot his seed against the wall instead of wheezing his wife and there would have been no Ferd family to talk about.
As a young farmer who joined the army only to remain fed, Habis had no idea what was going on. He was seduced by the fragrant bread coming from the army camp kitchen. But even before a day had passed since Habis joined the troops, a rifle was filled in his hand and he was ordered to follow the others.
So, after arguing with the rest of the squad. The gun in his hand was a new toy to him. He had only heard of it before but had not had time to see it in person, not to mention knowing how to use it. When he arrived at the city, he could hear loud gunshots as smoke billowed into the sky.

The prince seemed to have given a sort of speech that made the surrounding soldiers angry. So, finish cheering and storming forward with the others.
Fortunately, Habis was not shot in the street and managed to enter the mansion without any difficulty. As he did so, he was stabbed and suffered a major wound to his lower abdomen. However, the enemy who injured him was stabbed to death by his other comrades. During the melee, Habis remained silent and waited in the corner for help.
In the end, each of his comrades was killed, leaving Habis the sole survivor of the fighters.
"I ... I want a house ...," said Habis hesitantly.
"Home? What house?" Karjad listened more ama and thought he heard wrong.
"This house," After exerting his courage and pointing to the Rodeman Mansion behind the prince.
"Soldier Over Ferd, do you really just want this house as your gift? There's nothing else?" ask Karjad for confirmation.
"Yes, Your Majesty," said Habis with a nod.
"alright. It'll be just like you wanted. From today onwards, this building is yours."
