The Bodyguard's

The Bodyguard's
In The Dark

“Vlad!” adriano exclaimed when he saw the princess' colleague fall face down on the ground. There was blood seeping from the sidelines of his shirt and pants. But Adriano had no time to help the poor man. He was busy dispelling the attacks coming from the front.

Adriano's pistol ran out of bullets, while there were still two people holding long-barreled rifles, standing upright while aiming his weapon at the Tigre Nero chief.

When the two men pulled the trigger, Adriano ducked while throwing his empty gun. The gun hit the head of one of the opponents who was firing his rifle, until the firearm was released and fell to the ground.

Meanwhile, one of the other friends swiftly pointed the muzzle of the weapon at Adriano. However, the middle-aged man had already charged towards the bodyguard first. As vigorously as possible, Adriano pounded the man's stomach with a headbutt until his opponent lapsed. The rifle that was still in the trigger position that was pressed by the index finger, continued to bark into the air.

Immediately, Adriano seized the rifle and fired it at the two guards. At that time, he thought that everything was done and just finished off Damien who was now invisible anywhere.

“Wire,” murmured Adriano. He intends to search for Miabella to the inside of the building. However, Adriano first saw Carlo go in there. In his heart, Adriano felt confident that the son-in-law would be able to face everything. Adriano then decided to check on Vlad and give him first aid.

Meanwhile, Carlo who was now in the room, clenched his hands tightly while cursing. Miabella is nowhere to be seen. There was only a wooden chair that rolled over and a slap rope that was cut into pieces.

He also saw corpses.

Slowly and carefully, Carlo observed the still warm bodies one by one. He then stops at a dead body of a woman believed to be Yelena. Carlo still recognized the woman even though her face was visibly smashed and bleeding.

“The death is still new,” murmured Carlo slowly. He was stunned when his footwear felt sticky on the floor where he stood. There was another pool of blood that was not fused with Yelena's blood. The blood formed trace droplets that stopped right next to another body that was also stretched stiff.

That figure left Carlo stunned. “Stefan Romanov?” The blue-eyed handsome man immediately approached the corpse who was in a supine position with his eyes open. He then leaned over next to the stiffened body.

“So, you're behind all this mess?” carlo was furious, though he was aware that the old man would never be able to answer.

Carlo then got up. He doesn't want to waste any more time. The man started down every corner of the building that turned out to be quite spacious, with a cautious step. Door by door he opened with great caution. Finally, Carlo's tail saw a staircase leading to the second floor.

Doubt between climbing the stairs or opening the last door that seems to lead to the backyard. He decided to take the stairs until he arrived at the top floor which is more suitable to be called the attic. There was nothing in that place, just a room with low ceilings and a floor made of wood. There is also a small window that shows a beautiful view of a large grass field.

Charles went back down the stairs, cocked with a gun. He checked once again downstairs meticulously. Carlo made sure not to miss the slightest thing. However, Miabella remains invisible everywhere. “Bella, don't worry me,” the sigh slowly while restoring the hair.

Carlo then looked down deeply with one hand at his waist. His eyebrows were linked, indicating that he was thinking seriously. Carlo realized something. That mysterious blood drop, who does it belong to. He was also convinced that the blood did not belong to Stefan or Yelena. The drops just stopped near Stefan's body. While Stefan's blood flows to the other side of his body.

Carlo finally took the initiative to go back to where it was. He's moving Stefan's body. It was there that he found another door on the wooden floor. The square-shaped door was already soaked with Stefan's blood.

Loosely, Carlo pulled him using a lever attached to the edge of the door. The smell of rancidness instantly wafted out, entering Carlo's sense of smell. However, she holds it in order to find Miabella. Carlo will not give up until he can hug his wife.

The surface of the stairs are slippery and mossy, quite difficult step Carlo. Moreover, it was very dark. The leader of the Red Wolf Clan squinted his eyes. He stared at the perfect darkness before his eyes, while sharpening his hearing.

His ears caught a squeaking sound that seemed to be the sound of a mouse. Correct guess. The rats ran quickly from the front, crossing his legs without excuse. Reflex, Caro fired his gun. He almost punched his own big toe.

“Damn it!” maki Carlo's. Not even his lips closed, there was one gun eruption coming from below. “Bella!” call him. However, the scream was met with a bullet that shot and almost hit his head, if Carlo was too late to bow.

Carlo realized that his figure was clearly visible due to the light coming from the door hole earlier, so he hurriedly ran down the circular staircase, until his body was completely invisible.

“Bella!” exclaim Carlo again. This time his call was answered.

“Come here and pick up your wife. He is here with me, ” replied someone who is none other than Damien.

I want Carlo to curse out. But he didn't do such a stupid thing. Damien would easily find the direction of his voice. Carlo remained silent and walked to the bottom.

One hand touched the wall of the basement and the other hand cocked the weapon. Suddenly the wind blows from the front, a sign that the room is not fully closed. After a while, Carlo realized that the room was a passageway leading somewhere.

Carlo paused for a moment. After exhaling a long breath, he chose to follow the direction of the wind until his right foot stepped on something that felt hard like a brick. The object then moved downwards, as if sinking to the bottom along with the long and pointed iron that suddenly emerged from the surface of the wall.

After that it was quiet. It doesn't sound anything. Until the air around Carlo moved, a sign that someone or something was speeding towards him. Without any hesitation, Carlo spewed out a bullet. It was the last bullet.

Now, Carlo has no weapons other than a legacy dagger always tucked behind his waist. He threw out his gun and continued moving forward.

There was another sound of an eruption, although not as loud as the first shot. That means whoever the shooter is, he's getting further and further away from himself.

“Bella! Where are you?” carlo shouted like an apathy. Only silence answered.

“Bella!” shouted again. This time, the sound of a gun bursting was heard again. For some reason, the shooter didn't seem to have hit Carlo on purpose.

Feeling his patience was running out, Carlo ran as fast as he could. His steps came to a halt, when suddenly his stomach became rancid by a mysterious hand. The owner of the hand stood grinning while standing gallantly before him.

“You spent my bullets,” said the man who was none other than Damien.

“You too.” Without warning, Carlo returned Damien's blow, until it lodged right in the man's core area.

“Bad you!” snapped Damien. No more playing time, he thought. “The sooner you kill, the better. No one should know about the coup plot my father had devised. Anyone who knows it outside the organization, then he must die!”

“You killed me for free. I've provided evidence of Roderyk Lenkov's involvement with the central government's Federation Council in Moscow. Mr. Boris and Fyodor Vasiliev are the bridge. Now, government agents working with the military have been combing and sniffing everyone involved, including you and your men. Corrupt officials who have always been the main supporters of Roderyk Lenkov also successfully bent,” reply Carlo satisfied.

“Give up, Damien! You don't have any friends now,” Carlo sneered as he chuckled.

“Job! It's all because of you! My father's efforts have been in vain!” Damien's desperate cries boomed, along with his sturdy body attacking Carlo blindly.

At first, Carlo was overwhelmed. His tall body was pushed up to hit the side of the pointed iron that was sticking out from both sides of the hall wall. He grimaced a little, before setting up the horses to throw a proper right-footed kick at Damien's jaw.

The man staggered for a moment, then fell as Carlo slid a second kick right around the neck. Carlo was already about to direct his punch towards Damien, when Damien's hand gripped tightly onto Carlo's injured thigh. Damien's fingers clawed a torn wound on the skin of the thigh.

Carlo groaned, but his hand kept a dagger and stuck it into Damien's back.

“You're crazy!” maki Damien after releasing his grip. At that moment, Carlo's eyes began to adapt in the darkness. Moreover, not far from where it stood, a light entered through the small holes on the wall.

Not long after, Carlo only realized that the one in front of him was not the wall of the hallway like he had felt since, but an exit made of wood that is nailed and glued carelessly.

“Say, where is my wife!” Carlo grasped the dagger, then raised it up high.

“Kill me now, then I make sure you won't be able to meet your wife forever.” Damien laughed cynically, then spit.

Furious, Carlo stuck the dagger on Damien's shoulder. “At least say something, so that I can help you so that the Federation Council is willing to ease the punishment,” he said.

“Better I die,” reject Damien.

“Good. If that's what you want.” Without saying much, Carlo dragged Damien's body towards the wooden door. He then kicked the door down hard. Carlo can understand it now. The passageway turned out to be a secret tunnel that penetrated into the meadow opposite the building.

However, the scene behind the door had left Carlo so aghast. How not? Miabella lay unconscious on the grassy ground, with her feet covered in wounds and blood.
