The Bodyguard's

The Bodyguard's
Hidden Marbles

The expected night has arrived. Carlo mingled with the other servants in a maid uniform. Not to forget, the man also wore an eye mask of plain black. Before entering the party hall, the handsome blue-eyed man had tidied a bow tie that complement his appearance that night.

With a steady step full of confidence, Carlo walked over while carrying an empty tray. The tray was then filled with several drinks. From the aroma, Carlo could already guess that the drink in the crystal glass was the wife's Du Fontaine, who would also be present at the party.

Look into the eyes of the head of the Red Wolf Clan, continuously sweeping out every face that was inside that vast, majestic place. In the end, Miabella's blue iris was locked onto two faces that had just entered the hall. Two men who are none other than Vlad Ignashevich with his adoptive father, Roderyk Lenkov.

For a moment, Carlo was stunned to look at the middle-aged man with his copper-brown hair neatly combed back. A man who despite being aged, but still looks handsome with a sturdy posture. Roderyk also has a fairly rosy and violent face, coupled with a sharp eye highlight and a thick beard that adorns it. This is like a dream for a Karl Volkov aka Carlo, when he can see someone from the past who is related to his late father.

Carlo intends to approach Roderyk who was then separated from Vlad. The middle-aged man seemed to be conversing with some guests. However, the leader of the Red Wolf Clan's steps were stifled, as the tail of his eyes saw a figure in a red dress with brown hair that was left beautifully scattered covering a portion of the smooth shoulders wrapped in white skin. Despite wearing a mask, Carlo can recognize Miabella very well. The youngest son of the late Nikolai Volkov appeared to be smiling. He admired the physical beauty of his wife. However, Carlo remembered the mission he was on at the time. He also had to hold back.

“Hey, Server!” call one of the men who was talking to Roderyk.

Carlo immediately diverted his attention from the figure of Miabella who was struggling with Vlad. He approached the man who called him earlier. Carlo then handed the tray containing several glasses of wine to the man.

“Thank you,” said the man who knows who. “You don't drink, Mr Lenkov?” the man asked Roderyk in Italian.

“No. I stopped drinking a few years ago,” Roderyk said. His Italian sounds very fluent. Carlo was eager to listen to Roderyk's conversation with the man, but he had to return to serve the other guests. That made her distance to Miabella quite close. However, Carlo did not dare to appear too much, because near the beautiful woman there is the figure of Vlad who did not want to lose the moment to stay with Miabella.

“Job!” carlo grumbled softly in Russian. At least the guests were mostly Italians, no one would understand if they heard. However, Carlo was convinced that no one had heard his swearing at the time.

Carlo's own position was turning his back on Miabelle and Vlad. The chairman of the Red Wolf Clan then turned around without facing his wife's business partner. She accidentally flashed right next to Miabella, making the daughter of Matteo de Luca immediately turn to her. That made Miabella smile immediately. He held back Carlo's steps, then took one drink from the tray. Carlo turned to her, then smiled while winking one eye. A moment later, the handsome man immediately passed by without looking back.

Feeling the situation was safe, Carlo immediately put the tray over the counter (long bar table) just like that. He rushed out of the party hall. Carlo walked quickly down the corridor of the mansion that was somehow leading to nowhere. Back then, he had only relied on instinct. However, there were so many rooms in the magnificent mansion, that Carlo became confused.

In such a state, he saw a female servant who was walking with a sizable basket. The woman even looked troubled.

“Let me help,” says Carlo offers help. He took a basket that turned out to contain clothes and other things.

“Who are you?” ask the young lady in the maid uniform.

“I'm a waitress from an agency hired by a party host. I happen to be looking for where the toilet is. However, this building is too broad,” replied Carlo reasoned.

“Oh. You just follow this corridor to the end. After that turn to the right, then turn again to the left,” explained the woman while directing her hand.

“Already. I can hold it for a while longer. I like the least when I see a woman in this state of difficulty,” said Carlo with a charming smile, of course without removing the mask he was wearing.

“Do not call me sir. Call it, Bruno.” Carlo smiled back. “So where should I take this thing?” tanyanya.

“To the big master's room,” replied the woman as she walked ahead of Carlo.

“Great master?” repeat Carlo who continues to follow the woman to another part of the mansion.

“Yes. Mr. Roderyk Lenkov. He is the owner of this mansion,” obviously the sabil woman continues to walk.

"Oh. Who is the young man with her? I thought he was the owner of this mansion," asked Carlo pretending not to know.

"What do you mean Lord Vlad Ignashevich? He was Mr. Roderyk's adopted son. I think, maybe this mansion will be passed down to him if the great master is gone," said the maid as she continued walking.

“Oh.” That was the only response from Carlo. That meant all along he had been misguided. Carlo thought that the mansion belonged to Vlad. “What's your name?” tanyanya.

The female servant was stunned, then turned her head. “My name is Adelaide,” she replied with a smile. After that, the waiter named Adelaide resumed his steps, until they arrived in front of a door with European carvings. Adelaide opened the door and took the basket that Carlo was carrying. “Thank you for your help, Bruno. Sorry, you can't get in here.” The young woman nodded slowly, before entering Roderyk Lenkov's room.

After the door of the room was tightly shut, Carlo immediately turned his back. While walking quietly, the tail of his eyes watched along the corridor of the room he passed by. Carlo saw a surveillance camera there. He should be more careful in moving.

Carlo decided to walk to the toilet, as he told the waiter. Upon arrival at the closet where there were no surveillance cameras, Carlo immediately removed his mask and his servant's uniform. He wrapped the objects in a black plastic bag that he had hidden in his pants pocket.

After that, Carlo approached the ventilation hole located at the bottom of the toilet wall. The hole was square in shape and was fitted with a ventilation cover made of iron. Without any meaningful hitch, he removed the cover, then went inside.

Carlo moved the black plastic bag from his left hand to his mouth. He bit the bag hard, then started crawling. Every now and then, the dark-haired handsome man looked at the special watch he wore on his right wrist. The flat-screen layered box-shaped watch serves as a tracking device.

A little while ago, Carlo had put silver balls similar to very small marbles into the basket brought by a waiter named Adelaide earlier. The balls aim to send signals to his sophisticated watch. It was of course made by Coco.

Now, through the vent, Carlo can tell exactly where he's headed to get to Roderyk Lenkov's room. However, she must move quickly, before Adelaide discovers the existence of the small objects in the basket.
