THE CHOICE IN MY LIFE

THE CHOICE IN MY LIFE
SECTION 35

Tia came out of her room with one big suitcase and her handbag. As Tia walked towards the living room, Tia heard a joking sound and laughter. There was the voice of his in-laws, his sister-in-law, and occasionally the voice of Gilang could be heard laughing lightly. But there was one foreign voice in his ears. Whose voice is that? Tia wondered in her heart.

As the sound of Tia's suitcase began to approach, all the residents in the room fell silent.

“Oh, here comes the daughter-in-law, Mama. Or . . . prospective former daughter-in-law, Mama?” mama Ratna laughed out loud accompanied by a happy laugh from Gaby. While Gilang was only silent, and someone unknown to him smiled thinly while sitting next to Gilang. But there was something strange in Tia's eyes, the girl wrapped her hands around Gilang's arms.

“Mama must have heard all from Mas Gilang. So Tia today will be leaving this house, Ma.”

“Yes, Mama heard it. Mama was happy finally Gilang realized and chose to leave a useless woman like you.”

“Tia wants to ask for the money you borrowed. Because Tia will soon not be a part of this family.” Tia said calmly. This girl had already prepared her heart and was trying to toughen up. He did not want to look defeated before his enemy,

“Which Mom borrowed? Are you not wrong. You've been hitchhiking live in this house. How dare you speak like that. Get out of this house. And don't bring anything other than the one you're holding now.”

Tia doesn't dispute that. He was too tired to continue arguing with his in-laws who always did not want to lose. Tia turned her face to look at Gilang. The man did not stand up from his seat.

“Sorry, Sister Tia. I'm late to introduce myself.” The woman who had been sitting next to Gilang stood up and approached him. “Include, my name is Dera. My future wife Mas Gilang next.”

As if struck by lightning in a hole, Tia widened her eyes as if she could not believe what she had just heard. Just now their marriage had collapsed, but within hours Gilang had already blatantly brought his successor. She doesn't even care how she feels. Tia did not return Dera's hand that had been outstretched to shake her, the poor girl immediately turned and walked towards the exit of the house. Leaving behind a group of people who are not vile and have no heart.

“Don't forget to close the front door huh, Brother Tia.” Shouted Gaby with a voice insinuating her.

In the taxi, Tia still felt disbelief in what she had just experienced. His life changed with just one night. Only silence covered his journey. The taxi drove definitely to the address of the destination that Tia gave. Just a moment ago, Tia had contacted Cindy. His best friend was waiting for him at home. Tia no longer knew where to go, because she currently had nothing. Even the house where I live.

After Cindy opened the door for him, Tia immediately scattered the hug of her best friend.

“It's okay. Cry, get everything out. I'll be accommodating your grief.” Cindy answered with pity. He rubbed the back of Tia who had been crying for a while.

After Tia cries for Cindy for a while, Cindy invites Tia to sit down. Cindy made a glass of warm tea to calm her best friend who was almost out of breath because of her crying.

“Drink, and calm down.” Cindy thrust a glass for Tia to drink.

“You don't want to ask anything, Cind?”

“You'll tell me if you're ready. I honestly want to be angry at you right now, and I'd love to blame you for what you did. But I'll do it later. If you are calm, and you can already accept my tantrums.”

“Thanks, Cind. Only you can understand me.”

“Without you telling me, everyone will know what you're going through, Tia. Look at your luggage! I'm so sorry for what happened to you.” Cindy is still trying to calm Tia down.

“Sorry, because of me, you have to get permission from the office.”

“It's okay. My condition hasn't been good lately either. I'm a little nauseous every morning.”

“Mual? Are you pregnant?” Tia tried to joke around so that her best friend wouldn't worry about her too much.

“Yup, you're right. I am pregnant.” Answer Cindy lightly.

“What!!” Surprise Tia.
