THE CHOICE IN MY LIFE

THE CHOICE IN MY LIFE
SECTION 37

The next morning, as usual, Cindy was hit by severe nausea. Make him have to spit out everything in his stomach. But this morning was different, and at home, Tia took care of it. Tia makes warm water to relieve the nausea that Cindy feels. His body was limp after draining his stomach contents.

“Still remember what you said? Who arrogantly said that he would take care of it himself. Now look at you, so weak and powerless.”

“Well, I admit, I was wrong. I never thought I would get pregnant this fast. And my body was not as strong as my ability to drink alcohol.”

“That means God has reminded you not to do such a thing again. Be thankful for His gift. With the fetus in your womb, you can be even better.” Tia looked at her friend who was lying weakly on the bed. Tia continued to bite her lips in doubt and Cindy realized that.

“Tell me what you want to ask. I won't be mad.”

“Who's father? The baby you carry.” Tia asked quickly.

“I don't know, Tia. I was confused myself too. But the last time I had contact with a bule I met at the club was a few weeks ago. We were both drunk and did it just like that.”

“How many weeks exactly?”

“Entahlah. Probably almost two months.” Cindy hesitated a little.

“You still communicate with him now?”

“Still. And she knows if I'm pregnant.” Cindy answered softly.

“Then? How's the reaction?”

“She wants to be responsible with my pregnancy. He kept convincing me that I should give him a chance to make amends that night.”

“Isn't that good, Cindy. She's willing to take responsibility with the child you have in your womb.”

“But it could have been his son, Cindy. Moreover, earlier you said if did it last time with him a few weeks ago.”

“Come, Tia. I doubt it.”

“Give him a chance, Cindy. Give yourself a chance to lean on someone. You won't be able to stand alone until later. Don't let you regret it, Cind.”

“I don't want to get married, and it will end up like you. Sorry, Tia, I didn't mean to offend you. I'm just too scared of a commitment.”

“It's okay, Cind. My marriage is over, but no one knows the future. Bad for me, doesn't mean it's bad for you. Moreover, the man is willing to accept you.”

Cindy was silent listening to the advice Tia had made. Everything Tia said was always true when it came to Cindy's life, and Cindy knew it. It's just that Cindy always tries not to listen because she is too afraid of the thing called marriage.

“Meet him this afternoon, invite your bulu man to this house later this afternoon. I'll cook for you both. But before that, this afternoon go with me to the obstetrician. I already made an appointment with my doctor first.”

“Thanks, Tia.”

“Sama-sama, dear. But I wonder how you got into the office in this condition?”

“I'll be fine after eight in the morning. So I'll get ready as hard as I can before that, and go take an online taxi. I'll be healthy again on the way to the office.”

“Akalmu indeed from the past can always be relied on. Good Cindy.”

“Thank you once again for the compliment. Can I get eucalyptus oil on the front desk? I think my stomach is getting nauseous again.”

“Sure, wait a minute.” Tia ran out of the room to get the eucalyptus oil Cindy needed.
