On a clear Sunday morning. Aiden was astonished when he saw his wife carrying a wallet with her makeshift clothes.
"Honey, where are you going?" ask Aiden.
"I want to go shopping for a vegetable. It just so happened to be in front of the house."
"What's? Shopped? Why do you have to shop?" Aiden looked at his wife in wonder.
"You know what Kinan said?"
"Kinan's? My business partner's wife, isn't she?" ask Aiden to convince.
"Yes, he said I'm not a real wife if I don't shop for a traveling greengrocer. What the fuck is he!" Haira clucked in annoyance.
"Did he do it to say you like that?"
"Said yes. He said that a wife and mother should shop for a vegetable even if only once in a lifetime."
"Didn't we shop in the market? When our lives are still in ruins." Aiden reminded.
"Yes, but both and not to the greengrocer. Never mind, I'm going shopping first."
"Wait!" aiden's words stopped Haira's footsteps.
"What?" Haira.
"What do you want to shop for? What's in the greengrocer's wagon is all in the fridge."
Haira seemed to think. "Oh yeah. I'll buy raw brains. After that I'll fry it myself. You want to too, don't you, baby?"
"Yes, I want to. Let me drive you to the gate." Aiden took Haira out.
Arriving in front of the gate, the vegetable maker was already gone but not too far away.
"Sayuuurr!!" Haira shouted to the vegetable maker.
"What's up, Mom? Wanna buy what? If there is, I'm there!" exclaim the vegetable with a pretty strong voice.
"Have no brains?" asked Haira while still shouting.
"Astaghfiullah! Haira's! Watch your words! Don't abbreviate!" Aiden reminded.
"Oh, yes. Sorry, Bang! I mean, you're selling brains?"
Aiden patted his forehead.
The vegetable came. "Sorry, Mom. How was? I have a brain, Mom."
"That's not what I mean, sorry. Here, you sell otak-otak no?"
"Oh fast food? Ada, Ma. How many packs?"
"There's ten packs, Mom."
"Yes, I bought them all, yeah."
"Good, Mom." With a happy face, the vegetable maker wrapped Haira's order.
"This, Bang. Take it back."
"Thank you, Mom."
After the greengrocer left, Haira went back to meet Aiden.
"Have you apologized?" ask Aiden.
"Already, I've got his brains, too. Come inside!" Haira walked towards her house.
"Dear, don't shorten it."
"Oh yes, sorry dear." Haira smiles.
But still, he did not do what Aiden told him to. It was evident when he called his two children.
"William! Harrys! Here baby, I have a brain."
"Dad, how much brain do you want?"
"Darling, doesn't his brain taste good?"
"Darling, if your brain doesn't run out, just give it to me."
"Harry, don't do a lot of chocolate. Your brain will be spicy."
"Lim, give all these brains to the waiter, yeah. Harry likes to eat his brain. Oh, this is your brain, and this is the brains of the butler. I've already divided the portion."
"Good, Nyon. Thank you." Thank you."
While Aiden who had heard Haira's sentences had only been silent while massaging his temple.
"Pad's son is still there, just for Mom." Haira took the food from Aiden's plate.
"Yes, take my brain and eat my brain if you really like brains."
"Why does it sound so weird, yeah."
"You're just realizing it now?"
"Yes, sorry I forgot. Yes, here's your brain I eat." Haira again ate the brains.
Aiden took a long breath. "Here you go, my brain is tired."
