"Please, no tears. Let's promise that we'll keep smiling and stay away from those tears of sadness." Kania raised her little finger as their covenant.
"I promise." Haira smiled as she wiped the corner of her eyes that slightly let out water.
"Come, tell me something else. I want to hear."
"Aiden my husband, was the one who suffered the most during my life with me. He often has trouble because of me. There was just my behavior that made him very troublesome. I washed his little laptop and cell phone so it couldn't be used anymore. I also once accidentally dumped his watch into a trash bin. I also had the wrong time to throw his phone into the gutter, when what I should have thrown away was trash."
Kania again chuckles with Haira's story. "What a pity for him. Then, what else do you have a story? I want to hear again." Looks very enthusiastic.
"Hmmm, what, huh? Oh yeah, a long time ago, Aiden used to disguise himself as an ordinary person and Dean, Resya's husband who was his personal assistant, pretended to be his friend. Dean suffered the same with Aiden. I used to accuse him of being a thief*********, a debtor, and I even thought he liked Aiden."
Kania is getting cackled. "What a pity, Dean, his life must be full of color."
"Yes, but it's black."
The two laughed together. It was as if the pain of Kania disappeared instantly.
"Dean suffered the most. But it turns out he was the CEO's son who was kidnapped and dumped. Until he finally met his father."
"I'm glad to hear that everyone lives with happiness. And more so you. I'm so happy to know you're so happy right now. At least when I'm gone, I can go quietly." Kania smiled gently.
"Kania, don't talk like that. You'll stay by my side. We'll always be together." Haira looked at Kania with confidence.
"Haira, one more thing I want to say. Promise to be happy. Don't make me the source of your grief or I'll regret my life for meeting you."
"Kania, don't talk like that." Haira's eyes began to glaze over.
Haira again wiped the wet corner of her eyes. "All right, I promise."
"Thank you." Kania smiled, then hugged Haira.
"Come, sleep, it's night. You need to rest a lot. I don't want my arrival to make you less rested. If you need anything, wake me up. Make me useful here." Haira looked seriously.
Kania just smiled and nodded. They also go to sleep immediately. As Haira promised earlier, she kept her body from going to and fro because it could endanger Kania's life.
Doctor Rika who saw their conversation earlier could only smile while wiping the corner of her eyes. He was happy to see Kania laughing. A smile of happiness that he had never seen all this time, was finally etched on Kania's face.
Rika's doctor returns to meet Aiden who is still in the living room. He was sipping tea made by Dr. Rika.
"How, Doc?" ask Aiden.
"They're very happy. Tell a story that makes Kania laugh."
"Haira is very funny. I still can't imagine how it will be." Aiden's face turned sad.
"Don't grieve. Remember Kania said, she wanted, at the end of her life to see the people who were by her side smiling, not sad."
"Yes, Doc. We must not show sorrow in front of Kania." Aiden nodded in understanding.
Meanwhile Kania who pretended to be asleep was staring at Haira who was already fast asleep. "Let me look at the face of the person I love the most. I want to record it in my mind and heart. Haira, I love you so much, be happy for me. Thank you for making my life more colorful." Kania rubbed Haira's hand, then went back to sleep.
