The Exchanged Bride

The Exchanged Bride
Special Episode - Story

At night, Haira brought pillows and bolsters from her room.

"Honey, where are you going?" ask Aiden who is working with his laptop in the living room.

"I'll sleep in Kania's room."

"Sleeping in Kania's room? Why?"

"There's no reason for me to sleep with him. He's my brother, I just want to sleep with him."

"Haira, you never calm down when you sleep. What if you push like I used to? You recall? I fell out of bed because of the push of your foot. Not to mention that your rampant hands often land hard on my face." Aiden tried to remind me.

"I'll try to remember that I slept with Kania."

"But, Haira,,,,"

"Let's go, Aiden, he just wants to sleep with Kania." Rika's doctor who came straight to say yes.

"Thank you, Doc." Haira smiled happily.

"But I also stayed there, to take care of Kania when she was thirsty and wanted to pee in the middle of the night."

"No need, Doc, I'll take care of him and help him if he wants to do something."

"Yes already, I'm sure Haira can take care of Kania." Doctor Rika smiled.

"Oh yeah, Haira, it seems like you haven't been able to bring her to the city because of her condition. Please be patient, yes."

"I'll be patient." Haira smiled, then came to Kania's room.

After he opened the door, he saw that Kania was fast asleep. Slowly, Haira stepped up, then placed the pillow and bolster next to Kania.

Haira continued to look at Kania's peaceful face. Although pale, it could still be seen how peaceful and happy he was at this moment.

"We're not so similar maybe because you're sick."

"Uhh." Kania suddenly whimpered with her eyes still closed.

"Kania, why?" asked Haira with an anxious face.

"In the meantime, I'll get Doctor Rika." Haira was about to leave, but Kania held back her hand.

"Don't go, just accompany me."

"Kania, you need medicine."

"No, I just need you. Accompany me here, Haira, I beg you, "look at Kania with full supplication.

"Well, but you do need medicine."

"Haira, I beg you. Don't disappoint me." Kania still held her hand.

"Now tell me what I need to do to get your pain down."

"Tell me how the twins William and Harry are."

Haira felt strange at Kania's request. But he nodded and started to tell stories.

"William has a character like his father. Quiet, talkative, but very smart. Harry looks more like me. Can't be quiet, always talkative, and a little careless. Even though they have an inversely proportional character, they still love each other. Harry's pranks on William became the spice of cheer in our house." Haira finished her story.

Kania slightly chuckled at Haira's story. He could imagine how happy Haira's little family was.

"Then, what about our cousin's sister?"

"Resiah? He's very chatty now. Sometimes my kids are afraid of him. Especially now, when the twins were there. While making a video call, I saw them make Resya's husband like a walking painting. Scribbled with color markers."

"Hahaha, they're so funny. Too bad I can't meet them." Kania stared at the heart.

"You can meet them in town later." Haira tried to comfort Kania.

"I don't want to be your burden, Haira."

"You're my real brother. You're,,,,, wait, who's her brother?" Haira just remembered that this was one of the questions she wanted to ask.

"Me" said Kania.

"Well, you're my brother, it's my responsibility to take care of you. We've been separated for decades, and it's a good time for me to take care of you." Haira held tightly onto Kania's hand with teary eyes.
